You Have to Watch This Video of One of Salma Hayek's Very First Audition Tapes
"I'm Salma Hayek. I'm 20 years old." That's how Salma timidly introduces herself as an inexperienced acting student at Televisa's Centro de Capacitación in Mexico in this amazing '80s audition tape. Thank you, Despierta América, for making our TBT dreams come true with this amazing clip of the Mexican actress, courtesy of the Televisa archives.
In the video, above, young Salma - rocking big, curly hair and lots of bright makeup - acts her heart out . . . at a telephone. But even with no real experience, Salma's natural talent was super obvious at this stage in her career, because she totally made us believe this inanimate object could be her boyfriend. Fast-forward nearly 30 years and Salma has evolved into a seasoned actress with many respectable roles under her belt, a gorgeous sense of fashion, and a sexy French businessman for a husband to boot.
