Insurance lobby could be linked to cabinet opposition to genetic discrimination bill, senator says
The Trudeau cabinet's newfound opposition to a genetic discrimination bill is "curious" given the party's vocal embrace of such legislation during the last election campaign, a former top Liberal senator says, raising the possibility that aggressive lobbying efforts by the insurance industry have soured support.
