Netflix Just Announced a Major Change to Rating TV Shows and Movies
Netflix is bringing a new feature to its service to make watching what you like easier. The company announced it's replacing its star rating feature with a thumbs up or down instead.
Now, when you thumbs up a TV show or movie, you'll get recommendations that are a "95 percent match." If you thumbs down something, it'll be kept off any recommendation list. Use it over and over again to get more personalized matches.
Netflix explained in a video that it got rid of the stars because "Ratings on Netflix have never been a reflection of popularity." You can watch the company's full reasoning behind the switch ahead.
