Halima Aden has had many big moments, from walking in New York Fashion Week to gracing CR Fashion Book's editorial cover. You might remember the model first shot to stardom after she wore a burkini in a pageant. Since then, she has become an important face for muslim women in the industry. What's her latest power move you might ask? She scored her first-ever campaign with The Modist, a luxury e-commerce site for modest shoppers.
The young model fronts the campaign in silky hijabs and limited-edition kaftans created in celebration of the holiday Ramadan. Not only does Halima look confident and strong in the photos, but she's also helping to shape the conversation about modesty in fashion. Designers who participated in the capsule collection include Mary Katrantzou, Adam Lippes, and Osman.
