Recall Alert: Aunt Jemima Frozen Waffles and Pancakes Have Possible Contamination
Pinnacle Foods Inc. is recalling all Aunt Jemima Frozen Pancakes, Frozen Waffles and Frozen French Toast Slices sold in the US due to possible Listeria contamination. The New Jersey-based company announced the recall on May 5 after detecting "the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in the plant environment." Pinnacle Foods clarified that no illnesses have been reported by consumers, but "[t]he products are being recalled as a precautionary measure."
A total of 17 of Aunt Jemima frozen products are included in the recall, as listed below:
- Aunt Jemima Lil Griddlers Blueverry 14.5oz
- Aunt Jemima Mini Pancakes 14.5oz
- Aunt Jemima French Toast 12.5oz
- Aunt Jemima Cinnamon French Toast 12.5oz
- Aunt Jemima Whole Grain French Toast 12.5oz
- Aunt Jemima Buttermilk Pancake Low Fat 14.5oz
- Aunt Jemima Homestyle Waffle 17.18oz
- Aunt Jemima Blueberry Waffle 17.18oz
- Aunt Jemima Low Fat Waffle 17.18oz
- Aunt Jemima Blueberry Pancake 14.8oz
- Aunt Jemima Oatmeal Pancake 14.8oz
- Aunt Jemima Whole Grain Pancake 14.5oz
- Aunt Jemima Buttermilk Pancake 14.8oz
- Aunt Jemima Homestyle Pancake 14.8oz
- Aunt Jemima 60CT Club Pancakes Premium
- Aunt Jemima Pancake Mexico 60CT
Pinnacle Foods also stressed that "consumers should not consume these products." Any products affected by the recall can be returned for a full refund at the original purchase location.
