The Only Thing Sweeter Than This Unicorn Maternity Shoot Is the Story Behind It
Everything about Emma's pregnancy with baby Penelope was simply magical. Not only did the mom-to-be never expect to be able to conceive due to years of struggling with polycystic ovary syndrome but dad, Spencer, is one of four boys and the fraternal side of his family hasn't had a girl in three generations.
Inspired by this family's story, Staci Eades, of Eastlake Events, knew that she needed to make Emma's maternity photos a memorable celebration that honored their little one's beginning. "Unicorns are special and rare - and new baby Penelope seemed to be just that," Staci shared with POPSUGAR. "She truly seems to be unique, beautiful just as a unicorn!"
Since Penelope isn't just any baby girl, Christine purposefully designed the shoot around purple instead of pastel pink. "To me, typically the color pink just says 'Girl' but purple represents more. A different girl, a special girl, a not so typical girl," Staci added. Check out how Staci transformed this day from typical maternity photos into an enchanting unicorn shoot.
