This Family's 3 Generations of Female Graduates Are Something to Celebrate
Although LaWanda Flennoy is an excited mom and grandma during this year's graduation season, her daughters and granddaughter are equally proud of their dedicated role model's accomplishment.
Three generations of women in this family are graduating in 2017, including their hardworking matriarch, LaWanda. Their photo, complete with graduation caps, captures the magnitude of this occasion; as LaWanda and her two daughters graduate from college, her other daughter graduates from high school and her granddaughter completes kindergarten.

Although LaWanda didn't originally plan on being in her family's graduation photos, she did want to prove that education is important at every age and was ready to celebrate their achievements. "I wasn't aware that LaWanda was graduating until a day or two before the photo shoot; she wasn't going to participate in the shoot because it was all about her daughters and granddaughter," the family's photographer, Darryl Hammond, told POPSUGAR. "But her daughters forced her! When I uploaded the photo onto my computer, I just stared at it, looked at my wife, and told her that this is a great photo and a wonderful memory."
