This New $10,000 Train Ride in Japan Might Be the Fanciest Way to Travel . . . Ever
Train travel has been taken to new, luxurious heights. The Shiki-Shima luxury sleeper train in Japan just took its maiden journey from Tokyo to the northern island of Hokkaido. This might be the fanciest way you could possibly travel through the country. The most expensive suite on the train is about $10,000 USD. It includes a full bathroom with a shower and a bathtub made of Hinoki cypress trees.
Despite the big price tag, the train is fully booked all the way until next March. It carries 32 passengers for the four-day journey across Japan. The cars include massive glass windows so you can easily view your surroundings. You can enjoy a full bar, live piano performances, and elegant dinners.
