Parents Be Warned: Popular Car Seats Recalled Over Serious Choking Hazard
After discovering that their chest clips can create a serious choking hazard for babies and toddlers, Britax just recalled dozens of models. More than 200,000 B-Safe car seats fall under this recall because the chest clips can break off, putting little ones in serious danger.
Affected car seats and travel systems include B-Safe 35, B-Safe 35 Elite, and BOB B-Safe 35 all manufactured between November 2015 and May 2017. The full list of recalled models can be found here, and if you have a product listed, there's a potential fix. The company created a kit to replace the dangerous chest clips, and if you've previously registered your car seat with Britax, the kit will be automatically sent to you.
