Reinvent Your S'mores Tradition With These New Variations
Though nothing surpasses the nostalgic perfection of the classic s'more, these three new s'mores variations as found in the July/August issue of Martha Stewart Living help us live by the adage "S'more is s'more." Just do as Martha and organize a "bonfire box" before the party, laying out the crunchy cookies in one row, the chocolates in another section, and the chewy mallows in one corner. While you can always roast marshmallows via the old-fashioned stick method, my preferred mallow-roasting tools are these reusable telescoping extended skewers. Now, less talk, s'more combos!
The S'mores
- For someone who doesn't like chocolate: Lars' Own Swedish Ginger Snaps + Three Tarts Vanilla Bean Marshmallow + lemon curd
- For the peanut butter fiend: graham crackers + marshmallow + Reese's
- For those craving Thin Mints: Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers + marshmallow + Andes mint
It is quite alright if this image causes momentary heart palpitations. It's the intended effect. Who volunteers to try all three?
