The Simple Hack That Prevents Your Ponytail From Sagging During Workouts
Whether you're a workout junkie or not, chances are you know damn well how much of a struggle it is to keep your ponytail in tact all day - especially while exercising. No matter how tightly those elastic bands may seem to be secured around your strands, that pony always sags and falls halfway through a run or elliptical session. But we now have the perfect hack to prevent those sad, droopy hairdos, thanks to an unexpected source.
On a recent episode of the Rachael Ray Show, the TV personality invited beauty expert Gretta Monahan to show viewers a simple solution to this all-too-familiar hair issue. Using an audience member as a guinea pig, Gretta started by pulling the hair from just the crown of her head into a ponytail- or, as Rachael refers to it, "that horrible whale spout thing" that her mom used to give her back in first grade. She then gently teased it to add some volume to the roots. Lastly, the hair guru wrapped the rest of the woman's hair around the first section, making for a single, amplified ponytail that's sure to stay put all day long. Genius!
