Your Favorite Sega Games Are Making a Comeback - This Time on Your Smartphone
If you're constantly wishing you could be a kid again and play your Sega Genesis games for hours on end, that dream is finally coming true. On June 21, Sega announced the launch of Sega Forever, a collection of your favorite classic video games coming to smartphones for free. Yes, you read that right.
Sega Forever officially launches on June 22 and will include five games: Sonic the Hedgehog (which was previously available), Phantasy Star II, Comix Zone, Kid Chameleon, and Altered Beast. New games will be added to both the App Store and Google Play store every two weeks. The games will also include nifty features like saving a game, controller support to connect an additional device via Bluetooth, leaderboards, and offline playing. And if you don't like the ads you're seeing, just pay $2 per game and receive the ad-free version.
Own an iPhone? You can enhance your experience even more with iMessage sticker pack. Sega stated in a press release it plans on bringing "both official emulations and ported games" to your phone, so start making room for them now. Watch a preview of Sega Forever ahead.
