Everything You Need to Know About Marc Jacobs's Fiancé, Char Defrancesco

He's managed to capture the heart of fashion MVP Marc Jacobs, but who exactly is Char Defrancesco? In addition to his newly minted title of "fiancé," the California native has held several roles, including model, actor, and candle maker. Aside from having received the proposal of our dreams in the form of a flash mob at Chipotle, here's everything you need to know about Marc's main man.

Swiss born Char - or Charly - is no stranger to the fashion industry. After studying political science at UCLA, he opened his own men's retail store, then followed up its closing with a modeling stint in New York, a gig redesigning closets back in LA, and an appearance on the Netflix series Sense8. Once he met Marc, the pair began traveling the world, leaving less time for Char to take on projects and inspiring him to follow a passion for candle making he had nurtured in LA. Today, that passion has come to fruition with Lit by Char, a line of "bougie" scented candles Defrancesco sells online for anywhere from $24 to $64.

When he's not lighting up the world with scented luxury, Char is jet setting with Marc and documenting their life together - a life full of Insta-worthy moments, including flying on a private plane with Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie, engaging in an arm wrestling match at Kate Moss's birthday party, and sitting front row at Fashion Week alongside Lil' Kim. You know, real low key stuff.
