How to Apply Lip Gloss Like Shayla Mitchell, ColourPop's Latest Collaborator

Shayla Mitchell will soon launch her ColourPop collection, but she's already an old pro at the brand collaboration game. The vlogger and influencer, who boasts an Instagram following of over two million, united with Maybelline last year to promote its Big Shot Mascara. Now, she's upped herself by not just fronting a campaign, but releasing a whole dang collection of seven new beauty products with ColourPop.

POPSUGAR recently caught up with Shayla, who said one main reason she chose to partner with the millennial-approved brand is its affordable price point. "It's important for me to create products that are accessible to everyone," she said.

Those products include three new lipsticks, two highlighters, a 16-pan palette, and lip gloss. Back in 2017, Shayla told us she thought gloss would be a major trend in beauty, and she was absolutely correct!

Naturally, she's launching Ultra Gloss Lip in Neat Freak, which can be worn alone or over matte lipstick. This topcoat contains rose gold and silver flecks, which make it super reflective once applied. "When I want my lips to look super glossy, almost dripping in gloss, I will apply it on the back of my hand first," Shayla said. "After I get the desired amount, I will use the applicator to apply it straight from my hand."
