Only Diehard Fans of The Office Will Be Able to Spot This Cute Easter Egg in A Quiet Place

What does A Quiet Place have in common with The Office? With the exception of a starring role for John Krasinski, not much. After all, no one in the long-running NBC workplace comedy listens half as well as the deadly, sound-hunting aliens in the recently released horror film. But if you look just a tiny bit deeper, it seems there's a reference to the series hidden between all the terrifying murders, silent births, and nail injuries (you know the nail!) that happen during its hour and a half run time.

There's a moment in A Quiet Place when Krasinski's character shares a romantic dance to a Neil Young song with his costar and real-life wife, Emily Blunt. In it, Blunt's character, who's wearing headphones, sweetly pulls her husband away from a project he's working on and takes out one of her earbuds so he can listen to the song as well. It's that move in particular that's giving fans major flashbacks to The Office.

In the comedy, which aired between 2005 and 2013, Krasinski's character, Jim Halpert, falls for his office's secretary, Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer). Their will-they-or-won't-they relationship is one of TV's greatest, and the pair actually share a very similar, equally tender headphone exchange in the season two episode "The Client," as pointed out by Mashable.

Could this be Krasinski's way of hinting that he really, really wants a reboot of The Office to happen? Maybe. Probably not, but maybe. Regardless, the scene in A Quiet Place has definitely struck a chord with fans of The Office, who couldn't help but voice their excitement over the moment on Twitter.

Of course, some fans took it a step further and imagined that A Quiet Place was actually taking place in the same universe as The Office. Let them live, OK?
