On Friday, music lovers were stunned by the news of Avicii's death. The 28-year-old DJ, whose real name was Tim Bergling, was found dead in Muscat, Oman, according to a statement from his rep. In 2016, Avicii retired from live performing citing health reasons. His retirement came after suffering a blocked gallbladder and undergoing surgery in 2014. Avicii was forced to cancel his Ultra Music Festival performance in Miami that same year.
Nick Jonas paid tribute to the late artist at the Akron, Ohio, stop of his current tour on Friday. The 25-year-old performed a stripped-down version of Avicii's 2013 hit "Wake Me Up!" with Aloe Blacc. "Rest in peace, Avicii," Jonas said before delivering his touching rendition.
