Ariana Grande Drops a New Song With 1 Message to Her Past: "Thank U, Next"
Ariana Grande is treating her past like a customer at Whole Foods, and she has one thing to say to it, "Thank U, Next." Just 30 minutes before ex Pete Davidson was set to appear in a Saturday Night Live episode alongside Jonah Hill and Maggie Rogers, the 25-year-old singer released a brand-new song, and it sounds like she had a few things to get off her chest. In Grande's new song, "Thank U, Next," which is also believed to be the title of her upcoming fifth studio album, she touches upon her relationship with Davidson, her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, Big Sean, and more.
After Grande and Davidson split in October, the couple made no mention of one another until a promo for this week's SNL left both of them speaking out. In the clip, Davidson jokingly asks musical guest Rogers to marry him, which she declines, and he retorts, "0 for three." Well, that didn't sit too well with Grande, who indirectly called him out in a slew of now-deleted tweets. "For somebody who claims to hate relevancy u sure love clinging to it huh," she wrote, "Thank u, next." It's reported that the mentions of Grande have been cut from Davidson's skits.
Grande has been sharing lyrics from the new song throughout the week on Twitter. Listen to the song above, which is available on Spotify and Apple Music, and then check out her sexiest music videos.
