Sorry, Newt! Theseus Scamander Has Fantastic Beasts Fans Magically Sprung
The release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald has introduced many new and interesting characters to our favorite group of witches and wizards. From the ultra mysterious Nagini to the ill-fated Leta Lestrange, these new characters make quite an impression in the Fantastic Beasts sequel. However, one particular wizard drew the eye, and affection, of many a viewer.
Theseus Scamander (Callum Turner), older brother to Newt, is known for his dashing good looks and obvious affection for both his brother and fiancè. A celebrated war hero and the Head of the Auror Office at the Ministry of Magic, fans were sure he would be an annoying older brother along the lines of Percy Weasley. To the shock of us all, while dedicated to his work within the Auror Office, Theseus obviously cares for Newt (wanting him to come over for dinner and warning him that the Ministry is watching him) and is very in love with Leta.
Theseus has captured the hearts of Fantastic Beasts fans in a big way, and it's safe to say that there's some competition for the favorite Scamander brother. (Personally, I enjoy them both.) Read some of the most enthusiastic reactions from fans ahead!
