The moment Keke Palmer hit the 2019 MTV VMAs red carpet in a glittering yellow gown by Yousef Aljasmi and golden cell phone, I immediately thought to myself, what a cute "Call Me Maybe" moment. Upon second glance, my inner songwriter immediately started re-writing Drake's hit tune, "Hotline Bling". If you would indulge me:
You used to call me on my cell phone . . . when you hit the VMAs. You used to call me on my cell phone, slaying the fashion game. And I know with red carpet bling, it can only mean one thing. Better than a diamond ring, is Keke's dazzling cell phone thing.
Right?! OK, maybe I'll stick to writing fashion stories and admiring dazzling red carpet looks like Keke's showstopping yellow number and glittering cell phone, which you can witness from every angle ahead. But HMU if you're looking for a catchy jingle writer! Heck, maybe Keke will interview me on the topic for Good Morning America - the actress-singer-rapper just announced her new co-host gig on the morning talk show. OK, fine. Filing that under pipe dream. But a girl can dream.
