12 Celebrities Who Prove Little Sisters Are the Coolest

Do you have a younger sister? Do you often feel like she's way cooler than you are? If so, you're not alone. There could actually be a scientific explanation for why Solange Knowles's style is so different from big sister Beyoncé's, why Cara Delevingne's antics grab more headlines than her model sister Poppy, and why Kylie Jenner experiments more with her appearance than Kendall does.

Studies have shown that youngest children tend to be more free-spirited, creative, and rebellious. They are also more prone to attention-seeking behavior than their older siblings. According to Dr. Kevin Leman, a psychologist who has studied birth order since 1967, younger kids "get away with murder," as parents tend to be more lenient and tolerant after raising their first child. Because of this, little sisters are easily more outgoing, uncomplicated, and fun-loving. Does this sound like you (or your younger sibling)? Keep reading to see 12 celebrities who seem to live up to their little-sister roles.

Yes, You Can Actually Pay For Stuff With This Wand Straight Out of Harry Potter

Every Potterhead knows their secret wish is to own an actual functioning wand. Well, thanks to one company, you can possibly own a wand that functions as a working credit card.

Created by Card Cutters, a UK-based company specializing in credit processing, the Ollivander19 is a "contactless payment wand." It looks just like a wand but at the tip of it is a chip that works with near field communication (NFC) card readers. It's the same type of technology behind Apple Pay. Just hold your wand to the card reader and ta-da! A payment will be made. The Ollivander19 works with any item under £30, or about $40. You can see it all in action in the video above.

Unfortunately, you can't simply buy the Ollivander19. You need to sign up on the Card Cutters website and see if you'll be selected. The chances are pretty slim considering there are only eight in existence, according to Metro. But that is what happens, considering Mr. Ollivander did say the wand chooses the wizard - just hope this wand chooses you.

If You Still Miss Parenthood, You'll Want to Check Out This New Fall Show

If there's been a hole in your DVR that used to be filled with a weekly hourlong cry fest, then look no further - we've found the new Fall show for you! NBC's new hour-long series This Is Us already looks like a hit (and one that will serve up a healthy dose of relatable realness). Plus, it's got some serious star power behind it, and it's written by Dan Fogelman, who penned Crazy, Stupid Love, so consider us sold.

Who's Starring?

Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Justin Hartley, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz

What It's About

It's an ensemble dramedy about a group of people who all have the exact same birthday and are on the verge of some major life changes as they all turn 36. Ventimiglia and Moore play a married couple about to have triplets, Hartley is an actor, Brown is on a search for his birth father, and Metz is battling an eating addiction. (It's unclear from the trailer how frequently the stories will interconnect, but I'd assume they'll all cross paths eventually).

First Impression

Ventimiglia recently compared his new show to Parenthood during an interview on the Gilmore Guys podcast, and that seems spot on after watching the trailer. There's a dearth of current shows that fit into the same genre as Parenthood, and the trailer shows promise to deliver that same emotional (if a little cheesy) punch.

When Is It On?

The show will air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on NBC. Stay tuned for a premiere date!

1 Woman Covered Her Face With 100 Layers of a Skin Care Mask

In today's stomach-clenching version of "100 layers of X beauty product," YouTuber Jeely completely covered her face with a skin care mask. She picked black formula, which she complained doesn't dry quickly (she even used a blow dryer to help speed up the process). "It looks like my face has melted," she said. It reminded us of pleather (as in, that fake leather material).

Watching her peel it off looked incredibly painful. "OK, I think I waxed my face," she noted, pointing out tiny hairs that came off with the mask. After she showered, she admitted that her skin felt sensitive.

10 Hair Colorist Instagram Accounts That Will Brighten Up Your Feed

Hair cutting and styling can certainly be considered a form of art - but when it comes to creative expression, it doesn't get better than hair coloring.

Whether a colorist is pushing the limits of the color wheel with bright hues or just getting a client ready for Summer with some highlights, the process requires not only a keen understanding of color but also of texture, cut, and dye. The professionals who concentrate on this skill are, in many ways, the superheroes of the salon. They're part artist, part chemist, and all-around beauty guru.

But you don't have to commit to a new shade to get a glimpse of the magic. Many of the top colorists - working with all styles, textures, and hues - are sharing their favorite dye jobs on Instagram. These are the 10 you'll want (let's be real, need) to follow right now.

See "World's Biggest Git" Percy Weasley in a WHOLE New Way

In the words of Ron Weasley, Percy Weasley is, in many ways, "the world's biggest git." Of the Weasley clan, the third oldest brother is always the butt of the family jokes. He is pompous, he's an overachiever, and he famously chooses his job at the Ministry of Magic over his family. Percy might be many things, but most of all, he is misunderstood. So let's talk about Percy, who is perhaps the least endearing Weasley sibling but certainly not without his strong suits.

A recent Reddit thread explored why Percy is the way he is and delved into his motivations behind both his good and his bad choices in the Harry Potter series. He doesn't always have it easy, but considering his circumstances, things aren't quite as black and white with the former head boy as they seem. And if you really think about it, he is pretty remarkable in his own way. Redditor booksblanketsandtea brought up some pretty interesting observations.

Can we talk about how an incredibly ambitious young man likely ended up in the worst possible House for him because he was terrified of disappointing his family? Can we talk about how he'd been told his entire life that to be ambitious (to be Slytherin) was a bad thing? Can we talk about how protective he was of Ron and Ginny when they came to Hogwarts? How proud he was of Ron, for besting McGonagall's chess set (because who do you think taught Ron how to play? It certainly wasn't the twins, and I doubt either Molly or Arthur had time).

Can we talk about how Percy felt more accepted and comfortable at the Ministry - where people couldn't even remember his name - than he did with his own family, who made him the butt of practically every joke, who either looked down on his goals, or couldn't be bothered to show an interest simply because it wasn't something they themselves were keen on? (And people wonder why he sided with the Ministry over his family, over Harry - who was a complete stranger and was more easily accepted than he ever was?)

Let's talk about how maybe Gryffindor was the right House for him - because even after all this, when he was proved wrong, he had the guts to come back, to apologise to his family that he loved (and who did, of course, love him - even if they didn't really understand him). Can we talk about how brave that was? "Perfect Percy" admitting he was wrong to his Father who [he] had once idolized, and then working as a spy for the Order? Keeping that distance between he and the rest of the family in place so he could feed them info about the Ministry? Before he turned up at the last minute to help fight at the Battle of Hogwarts? About how he lost his little brother, who - if Percy had been just a minute or two later down that passageway - would have died practically hating him? About how Percy likely went the rest of his life thinking that - if given the chance - his family would rather that he had died, instead of Fred? How he himself likely wished that that had been the case? Can we talk about how Percy Weasley was, in the end, perhaps the perfect amalgamation of Slytherin and Gryffindor? Just - can we talk about Percy?

Should we give Percy a little more mercy? Maybe if Percy had been in Slytherin instead of Gryffindor, he would have been able to foster his talents differently. Maybe if he'd been able to relate to his family more and if they'd been more open to who he was despite his undeniable prat-like qualities, he would have felt closer to them despite his job at the Ministry.

But let us not forget that when it really matters, Percy comes back for his family. He bursts into the Battle of Hogwarts ready to fight alongside the rest of the Weasleys, and he does something that many people - even the beloved heroes of Harry Potter - have a hard time doing: he admits he was wrong. He initiates a reconciliation and does what he can to start to repair his relationship with his family and begin again with them all. Brave, brilliant, calculating, ambitious, and loyal. Yep, sounds like the perfect combination of a Slytherin and Gryffindor to me, too.

19 Cooking Tips From Gordon Ramsay That Will Save You From Being Told to "Eff Off"

If there's anyone we want cooking advice from, it's Gordon Ramsay. The world-renowned chef and television host never fails to entertain us or impress us with his recipes (if you've never made his beef wellington recipe, you're truly missing out). It's no surprise that the chef has an ingenious method for scrambling eggs, an odd ingredient that makes pan gravy taste better, and many more simple hacks that will make you a more skilled home cook. So don't be an "idiot sandwich," and upgrade your culinary game with his best tips and tricks (mental yelling voice optional, but encouraged).

  1. Let pancake batter rest, covered, for 15 minutes so it can thicken and create fluffier pancakes.
  2. Leave the root of the onion on while you chop, and make long horizontal slices toward the root.
  3. Rinse rice under cold water in a colander before you cook it to prevent clumps.
  4. The key to skinning fish is a sharp but flexible knife.
  5. Sharpen your knives before and after each use.
  6. Season pasta water with salt (for flavor) and olive oil (to prevent sticking) before cooking it al dente.
  7. Season raw eggplant with salt to remove bitterness, and then squeeze out the excess water.
  8. When marinating meat, gently score the fatty side so that it absorbs the marinade even more.
  9. Add sherry to paella to give it a deeper flavor.
  10. For Gordon Ramsay's best-ever scrambled eggs, add crème fraiche (plus other secret techniques, like cooking off the burner). Also, never add salt to eggs before cooking them, because it "ruins the texture and dulls the color."

  1. To cook a perfect steak, let the meat sit for 15-20 minutes so it comes to room temperature. Then, "get the pan piping hot and don't put any oil into it until that pan is smoking. Liberally season the meat, rub it with oil, and put that into the pan. Don't oil the pan; just the marinated steak. Two and a half minutes each side, take it out and let it rest," he told Bon Appetit.
  2. His most important piece of advice to home cooks? "Get out of your comfort zone."
  3. When making pan gravy, add chopped tomatoes to thicken it and give it freshness.
  4. To quickly peel a whole head of garlic, gently crush it, put it in a covered bowl, and shake for 10 seconds.
  5. To keep a clean kitchen while cooking, always keep a "waste bowl" next to you on the counter so that you don't have to make constant trips to the trash can.
  6. For perfectly minced garlic, add a pinch of salt "for abrasion, which helps break the fibers of the garlic down."
  7. Never throw out the pods from vanilla beans because there's so much flavor left in the skin. "Stick inside jars of sugar and leave to infuse."
  8. To keep herbs fresh for up to a week, keep them in a glass of water.
  9. Don't throw away scraps from fresh herbs - use them in olive oil to flavor salads, pastas, and more. "Place washed and dried stems in a bottle, cover with warmed olive oil, then seal and leave to infuse."

After Running For 15 Years, I Made This Change and Finally Lost My Belly

I started running after college to lose that Freshman 40 I was holding on to. I learned a lot along the way, like what socks prevent blisters and how to shop for a sports bra so you don't have to wear two. But what I struggled with was losing weight, specifically belly fat. And after 15 years of running and experiencing two pregnancies, that still-pudgy pooch - although a sweet reminder that I was my kids' first home - was always the thing I pinched and poked when standing in front of a mirror.

So I signed up for a half-marathon. I was convinced that all those training runs would surely slim my middle, but when I stepped on the scale, I was completely wrong. I was gaining weight because the hunger that came with those long workouts made me want to eat all the time. After the race, although I made some changes to my eating schedule to lose the weight I'd gained during training, my squishy belly wasn't budging, and it pissed me off. It wasn't like I was going to run more often or for longer distances. It was quite by accident that I figured out how running could help me ditch my mummy tummy.

One morning, I skipped the hour-long flat road run and turned into the woods near my house. I let my dog, Reuben, off leash, and we just started running. My pace was much slower because the terrain was so unpredictable. Rain had eroded away the path, creating holes, plus the slippery wooden bridges, the rocks and logs to leap over, and the hills - man, were there hills! I was huffing and puffing way more than on my previous runs, and my quads, calves, and butt were burning. I had to swing my arms more to get up those steep inclines, and trying to catch up to my dog added a little fire to my step. At the end of my 20-minute run, I felt like I did after running one hour.

After just two weeks of running those trails and those crazy hills, I felt an incredible sense of strength in my legs I hadn't experienced before in the 12 weeks I was training for the half. In the obstacle course that is the woods, my muscles were constantly guessing, since running in the woods is completely different than running on a sidewalk or a treadmill. It's like a dance because there's no monotony of movement. Every step is a little different, a little shift to one side or the other, a little shorter or longer than the one before.

Interval training had always seemed so forced when running through my neighborhood: I felt a little weird sprinting past my neighbor's house, so I skipped them and just stuck to my 9:00/9:30 minute-per-mile pace. But the hills forced me to switch up my pace, and I knew this type of training would be the key to ditching my tummy. Running this way was also really challenging to my mind. I felt a complete sense of calm afterward that I wasn't able to get to unless I did a long training run. Instant runner's high in just 20 minutes? I was floored.

And the added perk? My belly looked slimmer. I could see definition in my obliques - I had obliques! By no means am I saying I have a six-pack after a month of running in the woods, but I see now that I was pushing myself in the wrong way. I was working harder, not smarter. If you're struggling with a weight-loss plateau from running, the answer for you, too, might be found in the woods.

I Cleaned Out 100+ Items From My Closet by Asking This 1 Question

You would have never known that I organize and overhaul the wardrobes of clients for a living, let alone write books on the subject, if you had seen the state of my closet last week. Standing in my closet last Sunday while trying desperately to find something to wear to brunch led to the realization that my closet was leading a double life. It's not that it was a "hot mess," organizationally speaking. It was, however, glaringly obvious that everything in there represented my previous life, a very different life from the one I am currently living. A closet filled with four-inch heels and designer duds snagged at countless samples sales (read: I worked at Neiman Marcus corporate for almost a decade and everyone drives everywhere in Dallas) does not a smooth transition to the Bay Area make.

So, I made another cup of coffee, turned on my "Closet Overhaul" Spotify playlist, and did to my own closet what I have done hundreds of times for clients in the past.

I picked up the first hanger and asked the million dollar closet question that works like a charm every time I need to make, or assist a client in making, a decision on what stays and what goes. Two hours and several hangers later, I had over 100 items crammed on a rolling rack ready to donate. Cue: mic drop - and it all started with this question . . .

The Ultimate Guide to a Leather Jacket and All of Its Parts

When you're finally ready to invest in a quality leather jacket, there are many questions to ask yourself. Do you prefer genuine leather or faux? (There are plenty of well-crafted, vegan options that will bring just as much edge to your outfits.) Is it essential you buy classic black, or do you prefer a vibrant pop of color? While a quick browse on your favorite retailer sites can get you some answers, consider this your quick sheet.

We're breaking down the various details of a standard design, all of which come together to achieve a certain look. While the triangle panels and thick buckle belt achieve a moto style, you can score a leather bomber coat too - one that features elastic at the waist and way fewer embellishments or panels.

After you learn the basics and decide if a defined cuff and pockets are a necessity, it's time to shop. The jackets below are a few of our favorites available now, but they range in price based on the materials used to create the leather, its resulting thickness, and whether it's real or vegan.

While real cowhide leather provides structure, it takes a while to wear in and may at first appear stiff. Meanwhile, calf skin is a fabric that offers a bit more slouch. Then you've got lamb and goat, which achieve a butter-soft touch, and finally buffalo or bison, the most functional yet costly choice - though these will last for a lifetime.

Read on to explore the anatomy of a leather jacket, and once you find one you like, don't forget to zero in on its detailed description or go to the store to try it on. You definitely won't regret making such a sensible, well-considered purchase.

  • Collar: The collar of your jacket rests right around your neck and often features a fastener on each side, though some leather coats are collarless with just a button snap at the front.
  • Fasteners: These are the metal studs you'll find at the points of your collar or lapel, which is a bit further down. While many of them are just for show, they play up the hardware on the rest of your coat and make it look perfectly polished.
  • Lapels: These triangle-shaped slices of fabric sometimes connect with the collar, and their crisp shape is what brings edge to a moto-style jacket. Usually, the zipper runs along the edge of one panel so when you close your coat, a square shape is created.
  • Pockets: If you're a fan of pockets, search for a jacket with plenty. Many leather coats feature diagonal pockets on one side, a go-to spot for storing extra cash, cards, or even your phone. Some side pockets snap closed with a button, while others complement the single zipper running down the center of your design.
  • Lining: The lining of your coat is the material that runs along the inside. Whether it's cotton, a quilted nylon, or even suede, a lining might help to make your design feel - or look! - more luxe when you're wearing it.
  • Waist Buckle: A waist buckle runs along the lower edge of your jacket and you can use it to create more of a cinched fit. There are plenty of jackets that feature one or two buckles on each side to add extra edge. For a rugged, undone look, leave yours opened.
  • Zipper: When it comes to a leather jacket, you might find more than one zipper. Whether there's one on the back of each sleeve or it acts as closure to any of your pockets, the more hardware you've got going on, the flashier statement you'll make. Of course, a single zipper runs down the center of your coat, cinching the panels together when it's pulled up.
  • Cuffs: Some cuffs are folded and obvious, while others you can create yourself by folding up or unzipping the hem of your sleeve. On classic bombers, your cuffs are usually made from an elastic jersey, and the resulting look is totally sporty.
  • Shoulder Epaulettes (optional): These are little details added to the top of each shoulder to create a square shape. Depending how ornamental they are, they might work to give off military vibes. Usually, you'll find epaulettes that are simply buttoned flaps.
  • Shearling (optional): Shearling either functions as the lining to your entire coat, keeping you warm, or it sits pretty along the collar. It's usually meant to be visible, bringing soft, fuzzy texture to your look.
  • Panels (optional): Panels are contrasting swatches of fabric that might be the same color but vary in texture. Your jacket might have soft panels on the interior of the sleeve, or it might feature ribbed leather panels down the sides or in place of an epaulette at the shoulder.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Have a Surprisingly Down-to-Earth Day at the Beach

Just a week after Orlando Bloom was spotted dutifully recording girlfriend Katy Perry during her performance at the Democratic National Convention, the couple jetted off to Italy for a romantic vacation. On Tuesday, Orlando and Katy were spotted doing normal-people beach things: kissing and cuddling, rubbing oil on each other, and hitting the water for a joint paddle-boarding session. Orlando, who also went totally nude for part of their day, showed off his muscular frame in dark trunks, and Katy sported a tie-dye bikini (it must be one of her favorite suits, as we've seen her wearing it a few times over the years).

Katy and Orlando's romance seems to be stronger than ever since they first hooked up back in January. Before showing support for the "Rise" singer at the DNC, Orlando joined Katy at the Cannes Film Festival and the Met Gala. In addition to her happy relationship, Katy is also appearing to stay above the fray when it comes to her ongoing feud with Taylor Swift. After Taylor's recent dust-up with ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris, Katy simply tweeted out a reaction GIF of Hillary Clinton, and she's stayed remarkably silent since the "Bad Blood" singer's squabble with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

34 Flower Braids That Are Far More Beautiful Than a Bouquet

Along with the rest of the festival-beauty-loving set, we had our moment with flower crowns. Now we've moved past the Coachella-inspired trend and have discovered a more unique way to express our dreamy sense of style: flower braids.

The look is reminiscent of the petals - and sometimes even the stem - of a rose. The most popular (and DIY-friendly) technique is shown in this tutorial from Annies Forget Me Knots and involves wrapping two or more loosened french braids in a spiral. Though this video specifically shows how to achieve a half-up, half-down style with the flower detail located at the back of the head, the technique can be applied to other updos. Try it with ponytails or buns and incorporate a variety of other types of plaits, including waterfall, dutch, and four-strand.

Keep reading to see the many ways Instagrammers are rocking braided flowers and to get some inspiration for tackling this trend yourself. And yes, it's definitely acceptable to buy yourself a bouquet of flowers for reference.

You Need to Meet the Man Who Sang the Pokémon Theme Song

Pokémon Go fever is truly the gift that keeps on giving. People are transforming themselves into IRL Pikachus, others are figuring out certain hacks to get a Pokémon to evolve, Poké pin-up artwork is everywhere, and so much more. But nothing can ever top nostalgia for Pokémon, which is why this video of the original studio recording of the Pokémon theme song is making our day.

Sung by Jason Paige, a singer who continues to rock out to this day, the video is everywhere with more than 200,000 views and counting. Paige really puts all his efforts into singing and even mimes a little air guitar. And while everyone's been listening to this song everywhere, Paige only "received a one-time payment for his work," reported Sploid. Get the song stuck in your head again and listen to it above.

Don't Make Me Feel Bad For Having an Only Child

I have an only child, and apparently, some people think this is awful. I get comments and questions from strangers on my only-child status - "Oh, she has to have a little sister or brother one day. She must!" (She, meaning my daughter.) Or, "Are you only going to have just one?"

Only one.

As if one child isn't a blessing or gift in itself. As if just "one" child is an abomination.

Then, of course, there's the onslaught of comments on how "Only children are so selfish and spoiled," or "Only kids get so lonely. They resent their parents later on." Apparently, being an only child is akin to being a leper: a life full of negatives.

To be honest, all of this stuff used to make my blood boil. For the longest time, I felt terrible knowing that my girl would most likely be an only child. After having hyperemesis gravidarum during pregnancy two times and losing pregnancies, I started to consider that maybe it was best if this baby thing was a one-shot deal for me.

And then when my ex-husband and I separated, I figured that sealed the coffin on my baby-making days. I'm in my late thirties, so I would have to meet someone utterly amazing who would take care of me if I had hyperemesis again, convince myself to risk going through that again, and get married all relatively quickly. Since statistically the chances of that happening are pretty small even though the "shop" is still open, I finally came to terms with the fact that it's probably going to be a two-girl show for the rest of my life - me and my kid.

This wasn't something I instantly accepted with the inner peace of Mother Teresa. I grew up in a family of four girls - I'm the youngest - and find long periods of total silence to be insanity-producing. I'm also constantly socializing. When people find others to be loud, I find it comforting. Loud, chaotic, and warm are just a few of the words I would use to describe my childhood. So at first the thought of raising just one child seemed, well, bizarre. The childhood I knew was full of frenzy and women. What would it be like to grow up without someone to tease? Would her life be complete without a sister and her boyfriend to humiliate? But then after grieving this reality - that my daughter (unless she earns a stepsibling) will be the number one star on our planet - I not only accepted it, but I also started to love having an only child. Instead of feeling bad, I love my only-child relationship. Here are six reasons I don't feel bad for having an only child.

Money, Money, Money. Moooney

Before my ex-husband and I split up, money was tight. Now that I'm a single mom, it's tighter. As a child, my family briefly went through money trouble when I was younger, and I remember the stress of that very well. It soothes me to know that with only one child, I only have one extra mouth to worry about, instead of many. That if my daughter wants to do an activity or go somewhere cool like a play museum or a show, I can take her - or manage with her dad to make it happen. If I had another child, I would have to shut down these opportunities for my first kid. We may never see Disney World, but with one kid, I can give her my absolute best on my minimum means.

This doesn't mean that people should "wait" to have enough money to have another kid. If you keep waiting, you'll never have enough. But like the late Michael Jackson said, "If you can't feed your baby - yeah, yeah - then don't have a baby."

Yeah, yeah.

Time

I work now. I used to be a mom who stayed at home (most of the time), but now I'm on the clock 40 hours or more a week. Time is limited. I feel guilty as it is when I don't see my daughter either because she is with her father on his days or because I am working. Another kid would simply take away from the limited time I have to offer her, and I'm not OK with that right now. If I have just a few hours to spare, it's all hers to take.

Closeness

As a kid, I always chased after my older sisters who are nine, seven, and almost six years older than I am. I hated the feeling of being "left out," and of course due to the age difference, I was. Plus with so many siblings, there were bound to be personality or life clashes. It just happens. With my daughter, it's just the two of us. I'm not busy helping another kid do X, Y, or Z. She has all of my attention, and while I'm sure there might be downfalls to that, I think it's great. Getting quality time in a house of three other kids was difficult in my family until my sisters left and went to college. I like that I have the time to learn about who she is as a person and her interests. I can devote time to a fascination of hers - something I couldn't do to the same extent with more kids. I know right now I am my daughter's parent, and I don't believe in "parenting" as a best friend, but one day when she's older, I like the idea of us as best friends forever.

Siblings = Not Always Close

Everyone touts siblings as the BE-ALL AND END-ALL! They're forgetting, however, that not all siblings get along. Granted, siblings do bring so much to a child's life, but a sibling does not mean instant love. Two siblings can clash or be totally disconnected. I haven't heard from one of my sisters since August, despite the fact that I reach out. The other I hear from via text or social media, which is nice. The third I talk to pretty frequently, but we fight sometimes, and then we don't talk for a while. This is how it has been our whole lives. We can't help it. We love each other a ton, but we clash.

You can't make another kid and guarantee your child will have a best friend for life. Of course we all hope it will be that way, but the reality is, it's not always. And while my daughter misses out on all the fun of sibling life, she also misses out on sibling drama. And in place of siblings, she has become very independent and mature.

My Career

Yeah, I said it. I am passionate about my career as a writer and performer. I love my day job, too. With one kid, I can devote more time to my pursuits and not feel bad about it - or shortchange my child. I enjoy being a mother, but I also love being Laura, and there's no shame in that. What I do brings me great joy. In turn, my child sees a strong, happy, and motivated woman who believes in herself and goes after what she wants and succeeds. Not a shabby example for her to follow as a wee girl.

My Health

I had three pregnancies, and two of those pregnancies I had severe hyperemesis gravidarum, yet I only have one child. As you can tell from the math, I was not a healthy pregnant woman, although getting pregnant was easy for me. Now, I'm healthy and fit and feel great. I'm not sure if I can go through being sick again or go through more heartache and loss. Who can blame me?

One Isn't the Loneliest Number

I fully support anyone who wants many kids, no kids, or just one. I see the joys in all of those scenarios and believe it's not my job to comment. I only wish strangers would stop showing pity for my daughter's "only status." She has the love and rapture of two parents. Not exactly a sob story.

And after such difficult pregnancies, I am so thankful for my healthy just one child and love the bond I have with her. It is a blessing to be her mother, and while it's the hardest job I've ever had, it has brought me more joy than I could have ever imagined.

Kim Kardashian Calls The Rumors That Saint West Isn't Real "Ridiculous"

Kim Kardashian has always been an open book, but when she served as the keynote speaker during the BlogHer 16 conference in LA on Friday, she managed to reveal new details about her personal life. The reality star touched on everything from her life as a mom to North and Saint West to why her marriage to Kanye West works to her thoughts on feminism. See her best quotes below!

  • On keeping her kids mostly out of the spotlight: "I definitely am really protective of my life with the kids. You might see them on [Keeping Up With the Kardashians] a little bit, but not real stories about them... We just don't make stories - Kourtney and I don't makes stories really around our children. They'll be there but if anything that's a benefit because we get to spend more time with them."
  • On the rumors that Saint West was never real: "So truly, I was not posting about my son because I wanted him to be able to go to the park every single day like a normal human being and nobody knows who he is... He's eight months old now, and people thought he didn't exist. People thought I had a whole fake baby and I made this whole thing up because I wasn't posting about it. And to me, that's so ridiculous."
  • On why her marriage to Kanye West works: "We do have a really private relationship. He's very private even though he's in the business and I'm very open, so he's really taught me how to become a little bit more private and I've taught him about how to be a little bit more open. It really works for us. So I definitely save that part of my home life and my life with my kids I try to hold on to."
  • On if she considers herself to be a feminist: "I don't think that I am [a feminist]. I don't like labels. I do what makes me happy and I want women to be confident. I am so supportive of women. I love nothing more than when I'm with all my friends and I love to support women but I'm not a 'free the nipple-type' of girl. If you're not comfortable with that, don't do it! I'm not about the labels. Just be you and be confident in you."
  • On why she loves to post naked selfies: "Because I feel good about myself! I mean, after you have a kid and now after you have two kids there is a feeling. I mean, I lost 70 pounds. So when you dedicate yourself getting up every morning, wake up at six in the morning, feeding one baby, get to go work out for an hour, coming back, feeding another baby, my husband, and then come back… I'm like, 'I have three people I have to take care of!' You can just get so caught up in not wanting to be motivated. So I made it a really important thing for my confidence and for me to feel good. Have I posted a new selfie since I lost all my baby weight? I don't think so!"
  • On how she deals with her haters: "If you were to ask me this question a few years ago, I would definitely have a different answer. I used to care about all of the comments... I think as you get older you just mature.... I have my family. I have my kids. I don't need to sit at home and I don't really have the extra time to look at comments. I know that the hate is out there. When I post something, whether it's a nude selfie or something, I don't post it just to get a reaction. I post it because I like the photo. It could be really something simple, so I'm not really looking at what the comments are."
  • On being a successful businesswoman: "If I don't sing and I don't dance but still doing what I'm doing, how easy is my job? I don't have to do any of that. I don't have to be on stage like you working so hard but we're still driving the same car! We're still living the same life! I don't mind getting underestimated but I feel for people that, I understand how it could bother them if they were in the same situation… I just love to prove people wrong."
  • On where she gets her confidence: "I still don't think everybody really has a thick skin so, I definitely do. I think I have such a great relationship with me and my husband that I feel so confident all the time and I think that does help. At least that helps me. I'm not saying that would help someone else because you should definitely be confident on your own, and I was, but he gives me that extra push."
  • On raising her kids: "I hope that they are outspoken and I hope that they follow their truths. And for any mistakes? I hope that they can see that no one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes. I've made a ton, they've been very public - and that you can just get through anything. As long as you surround yourself with your family and your friends and you try not to make the same mistake twice… I usually don't make the same mistake twice."
  • On when she'll let her kids go online: "Never! Just kidding... I think they'll have to ask me and we'll have a conversation about it... I feel like I know Kendall and Kylie so much more from watching their snapchats. And I feel like I know their every move and what they're doing. I also have heard stories of friends with kids that are early teenagers, like they totally catch their kids lying to them and they'll show up where they're at because they see them on Snapchat. So in a way I'll look at the positive knowing I could track their every move and I'll fully stalk them."

The Best Drugstore Products to Fight Frizz

Listen, we're not going to drag this out. If you're here, it's probably because you are this close to chopping off all your hair just so you don't have to deal with a puffy mess every time you step outside on a hot Summer day. We get it! We've been there, too. But because we love our long hair too much, we stuck to the battle, determined to find the best products to fight frizzy hair without spending our entire life savings. Here's what we found!

The 1 Accessory Power Women Rarely Wear

They've got drop earrings and classic pumps aplenty, but when it comes to rocking necklaces, the world's most powerful women typically opt out. Instead, they'll make a style statement in a different way: pairing a high-neck shift with a structured blazer, adding a belt to a bright and breezy look, even rocking a tiara. But when royals, the FLOTUS, and Amal Clooney do decide to wear a little something around their necks? You can bet it's far from your average, everyday staple.

Take a look at some power-woman-approved necklace styles ahead, then add 'em to your own jewelry box to break them out for a special occasion.

Leonardo DiCaprio Pulls an Epic Prank on Jonah Hill on the Streets of NYC

Just when you thought Leonardo DiCaprio couldn't get any sexier, he goes and proves that he's quite the prankster. The Oscar-winning actor was spotted in New York City on Monday, where he was photographed pulling a hilarious prank on pal Jonah Hill. After Leo left lunch with a few of his friends in the city's West Village, he spotted Jonah, whom he costarred with in 2013's The Wolf of Wall Street. Leo then ran up to him to scare him and appeared to get the entire thing on video. Jonah looks visibly shaken before realizing who it is, and the two pals hug it out before taking a walk together.

While we're used to seeing Leo out with pals like Tobey Maguire and Bradley Cooper, we love seeing him goof off like this. Remember those funny faces he pulled during a city stroll back in June? We don't know if it's his recent Oscar win or his new romance with model Nina Agdal, but he really is looking happier and more carefree than ever these days.

Makeup-Lovers Are Swooning Over These Gorgeous and Affordable Brushes

Many makeup artists agree that it doesn't matter how much your beauty products cost: it's your tools that make all the difference. The right set of brushes goes a long way in making you look like a million dollars, even if your cosmetics are from the drugstore. Sadly, some of the best (and prettiest) applicators are quite expensive. Until now, we'd resigned ourselves to picking off shedding hairs after sweeping on blush.

The new Beautifully Precise collection from E.L.F. Cosmetics aims to change that. This line consists of nine affordable, high-quality tools that are stunning enough to feature in your next post on Instagram. The most expensive brush in the range only costs $12, so many beauty junkies will be able to purchase the whole assortment.

According to Cosmopolitan.com, the brand's global creative director, Achelle Dunaway, found inspiration in the modern minimalism trend in home decor. "I wanted to capture what a beautiful makeup brush would look like if it would live in a gorgeous white marbled bathroom, since that's the go-to backdrop for social posts as of late," she said.

Each brush was designed with a specific application process in mind. There are four different eye makeup brushes, including one for creating a smoky eye. The other five brushes are for your face and to be used for applying foundation or powder. We're particularly mesmerized by the most unusual brush in the bunch, the Multi-Blender Massager. This chiseled tool boasts tiny massage heads that will flawlessly blend in bronzer or other powders.

The E.L.F. Beautifully Precise collection launches in October, so stay tuned for updates. These brushes are so beautiful, you'll want to ensure you can grab them all!
