Brace Yourselves: Super Mario Run Is Coming to the App Store in December
Apple didn't just announce a new iPhone at an event on Sept. 7. The company also surprised everyone: Mario is finally coming to the app store!
Super Mario Run is officially launching on Dec. 15 and will be available on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch for $10. However, anyone can download the game for free and "enjoy a portion of the game."
Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto demonstrated the gameplay live on stage at the event in September; it's a continuous running game, designed very much like the uberpopular iPhone/Android game Temple Run, and allows you to jump for coins as you race toward the finish line. You'll also be able to compete against your friends in "Toad Rally" mode. Watch a video of the game below.

Snapchat's Spectacles Are Here, but You Can Only Buy Them at Certain Locations
Snap Inc.'s Spectacles, a pair of sunglasses that can record video to send to Snapchat, are finally here. The company announced the product's arrival with a quirky video showcasing the vending machine that will sell Spectacles.
Spectacles will only be available through Snapbots, which are vending machines that will dispense the product for $130 (plus tax). The location of the bots isn't known; instead you need to click "Find a Bot" on the Spectacles website, where you'll be redirected to a map. Before a Snapbot arrives somewhere, the website will post where it is 24 hours in advance. Or you can also stumble across one if you open Snapchat and see a Spectacles geofilter.
You can buy Spectacles using a debit or credit card and in three colors: black, coral, and teal. Unsure about whether you'll like them? The Snapbots will let you virtually try one on. How to Decide If Your Baby Should Be Eating Organic Food

Your kid might soon be ready to start eating something that does not come out of a boob or a bottle. Welcome to the new era: an era of weird baby faces, jacked-up floors, and anxiety about why they'll only eat things that are brown (which may include furniture, BTW). But, among all of the things you'll have to decide about your baby's new nom-ing habits, whether or not to buy organic is one you can knock out pretty easily. It's at least easier than deciding if you should just cover your kitchen in visqueen for the next several years (yes, you should).
What Does Organic Even Mean
The United States Department Of Agriculture (USDA) is responsible for defining organic for American food production. Interestingly the rubric says nothing about how many culturally appropriated white-dude dreadlocks the organic farmer must have. Instead, organic foods must be:
- Free of synthetic pesticides
- Produced without added hormones
- Grown without synthetic fertilizers or sewage
- Brought to market without irradiation or bioengineering
Interestingly, just because a farmer can't use synthetic pesticides, doesn't mean they can't use pesticides made of natural ingredients. Which means that organic produce probably didn't get protection from pests thanks to a hippy chick hanging out in the field saying "shoo!" between massive bong rips.
Is It Healthier?
The thing is, organic foods don't contain any additional nutrients or vitamins. However, they're more likely to contain crappy chemicals and additives you might not want around your baby's sensitive developing system. Even the American Association of Pediatrics (AAP) agrees that having your kid eat a variety of good fruits and veggies is way more important than whether or not they're organic. So it really does come down to personal choice. And budget. Because while organics might not be healthier they are hella pricey.
How To (Kind Of) Eat Organic
If you don't want to spend a bajillion dollars, there is a solution that totally allows you to split the difference in organic eating and money saving. The good news is that your pesticide problem is found largely in fruits and veg that require you eat the skin. That means there are plenty of things you don't need to buy organic. Here are 10:
Avocado: Your guac rocks
Pineapple: Nature's grenade
Onion: Who cares if those are organically produced tears. Not you!
Cabbage: Because it just kind-of grows without help
Sweet Peas: Remove the pod for your pea. All safe.
Sweet Potatoes: An important baby food group unto itself
Mango: As long as you figure out how to cut the damn thing
Kiwi: Down with the fuzz
Eggplant: Though why anyone is planting eggs is anyone's guess
Asparagus: What's that smell? Oh, it's your kid's pee.
Of course, for younger babies only a couple of these make sense. However, you can definitely build a cheapo sweet potato puree diet and kids go bonkers for mangos, kiwi, and avocado, which are super simple to mash for early gumming / spitting.
As your kid gets older, you can start thinking about whether or not you want to give them organic milk or meats. That's a whole other animal. (You get it.)

Chrissy Teigen may be quite the jokester, but one thing she never kids about? Her outfits, which are always sleek, on-trend, and something to covet, especially when it comes to her footwear. But as fans of the stylish star, we've started to notice a little something: she's always in heels and hardly ever rocks flats. It wasn't until earlier this year that Chrissy even dared to wear sneakers outside of the gym.
So when we met up with Chrissy to discuss her Stella Artois partnership and "Host One to Remember" campaign, we asked her about her heel obsession and if she did, indeed, have a favorite pair of flats.
"I only wear heels," she told us, going through a list of reasons that support her decision (and bringing back memories of the old, stiletto-loving Victoria Beckham).
"I'm very uncomfortable in flats. My calves are actually abnormally tight, [and I'm] flat footed and very relaxed in a 6-inch heel. It's very bad for your lower back, and I have to see a chiropractor twice a week because of it, but, yeah. I can't even wear Havaianas flip-flops because I don't like things in between my toes. Ballet flats look goofy on me because you can see the shape of my foot through them."
But as for sneakers? Chrissy would make an exception - if they were trendy enough.
"I'd say unless it's a Yeezy or something that just makes me feel cool, that's pretty much the only thing that's going to happen. Those or Common Projects. You know how some people get away with those cute white [sneakers] with their little shorts? I look so silly. I look like I'm playing dress up as Skipper or something."
