Do These 6 Things on Sunday to Lose Weight All Week Long
You know you should be eating right and exercising all week to reach your weight-loss goals, but when you're so rushed between work and family responsibilities, it's tough to have time to make it happen. A little planning goes a long way, so here are some things you can do on Sunday to ensure you stay on a healthy path all week long.
Plan Your Workouts
Don't just think to yourself that you'll squeeze in a run here and a trip to the gym there - plan it out. Sit down with your weekly calendar and jot down every workout just as you would doctor's appointments and meetings. Use this time to call your fitness buddy or trainer to make dates, check out studio schedules to find classes you want to take, and check the week's weather to figure out which days will be best for outdoor workouts.
Hit the Hamper
Nothing puts a damper on a workout more than not being able to find a clean sports bra, so do a couple loads before Monday, making sure you have everything you need, from your running tights to yoga tops to the towel you use to wipe sweat from your brow. Lay out your outfits for each day's workout so you're not running around the house Tuesday morning trying to find your missing sock.
Gather Your Gear
Collect whatever you need to work out - a yoga mat, sneakers, or earbuds - and make sure everything is set so you can easily grab the items throughout the week. Pack your gym bag, and put it by the door or in your car so you won't forget it when you leave for the day. If you exercise at home, put your favorite fitness video in the DVD player and lay out your dumbbells and resistance band. Sunday is also a great time to make a couple new playlists to inspire your kick-ass workouts (if you don't have time, subscribe to our workout playlists on Spotify).

Plan Your Meals and Snacks
Sit down and write out a weekly eating plan including all meals and snacks for the week. If you need a little inspiration, check out these healthy recipes. After making out a grocery list to include everything you'll need to whip them up, hit the health food store and stock up for the week. Since produce is best enjoyed within a few days of purchasing, note what fruits and veggies you'll want to pick up halfway through the week.
Make things even easier by prepping in advance: wash, cut, and store veggies to be used in dinner recipes, cut up fruit for smoothies or snacks, and cook up some whole grains and store them in the fridge. Cook some of these make-ahead breakfasts in advance, like a week of overnight oats, or turn on the crockpot to make something you can eat a few nights that week, like these under-400-calorie meals.
Pack It Up
If you'll be away from home during the day, cut down on the temptation to go out to lunch or grab a cookie by packing lunches and snacks from home. Making five salads for the week is easy and healthy, or you can whip up a big pot of soup and freeze small portions in glass containers to grab for lunch. Also set aside 10 snacks for the week (two per day), such as Greek yogurt, cheese sticks, and containers of carrots and hummus, or measure out 100-calorie portions of trail mix, whole-grain crackers, or cereal. It'll probably take about an hour to get it all ready, but it'll end up saving you time during the rest of the week.
Hit the Hay
Once everything is all set, take a nice hot bath, slip on your PJs, and hop into bed early. Unwind with an evening yoga sequence or a calming book, and you're more likely to have a good night's sleep and wake up refreshed for the week ahead.
From Stray Dog to Instagram Star: Popeye the Foodie's Heartwarming Success Story
Long before Popeye the Foodie discovered Instagram fame, or even a family to call his own, he was just a lonely stray dog wandering the streets of Los Angeles. His hu-mom detailed his rough beginnings to Bored Panda, describing him as "super skinny, heavily matted, (and) dirty" when she found him and brought him home. Initially, she didn't even intend to keep Popeye as her own. But sure enough, he worked his way into the hearts of his new humans and they didn't really have a choice but to make it official.
Thankfully, those horrible days as a stray pup are now long behind Popeye. He spends his time hopping between trendy, dog-friendly restaurants, 'gramming adorable snaps to his following of over 112,000 fans and counting. Although seated nicely in front of delicious foods, Popeye's mom reports he only gets nibbles of dog-friendly foods. And if all else on the menu fails, his mom carries a bag of treats for him, just "in case there's nothing he can have." Bon appétit, Popeye!
The Genius Way These Loud Neighbors Responded to a Passive-Aggressive Letter
People who live in apartments can quickly reach a frustrating point where even tapping a broom on the ceiling to quiet down a loud neighbor just won't do. When one student recently reached her breaking point, she left her neighbors an impassioned letter and got one hilarious response that has since gone viral.
Twitter user and student morgxmarie shared her original angry letter and the response that followed. In it, she wrote, "Why are you so loud after 9 p.m. every day? Are you f*cking sumo wrestlers or do you possibly have lead f*cking feet?" She ended the letter with, "If you're selling tickets to the 2 a.m. basketball games let us know." While she thought that would do the trick and shut up her neighbors, it definitely didn't.
Instead, her neighbors left her a note that simply said, "It's game time," and included incredibly realistic-looking tickets to a fake basketball championship game between none other than the "2nd floor b*tches" and the "3rd floor lead foot assh*les." Genius.
Look ahead for pictures of the hilarious exchange and some stunned reactions.
Chris Pratt's Son, Jack, Could Not Care Less About His Dad's Fancy Job
Chris Pratt might be one of Hollywood's biggest stars at the moment, but no matter how many incredible roles he racks up, there's still one person out there who remains unimpressed: his son, Jack. While sitting down with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night, the Passengers star revealed that Jack doesn't quite understand how movies work yet and therefore finds the people at Universal Studios who dress up as Chris's characters from Jurassic World and The Lego Movie to be way, way cooler. "He came home the other day and he was like, 'Dad, I met the real Jurassic World guy,'" Chris joked about his 4-year-old. "I was like, 'That guy?! No!'" Let's hope by the time Jurassic World 2 comes out that Jack has figured things out.

Charlie Hunnam Looks So Happy During a Rare Outing With Girlfriend Morgana McNelis
After popping up in LA for a hike on Friday, Charlie Hunnam was spotted running errands around town with longtime girlfriend Morgana McNelis. Showing off his fresh buzz cut, Charlie carried a legal pad and tape measure with him, and was all smiles as he walked alongside Morgana. While it's been nearly four months since we've seen Charlie, it's also been a while since we've seen Morgana. The couple was last spotted together back in June when they went furniture shopping. In addition to Charlie's casual outings this week, it was also recently announced that Charlie's latest project, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, would be pushed back from March to May 2017. Thankfully, he's also begun preproduction for Zoe, so hopefully we'll get to see more of him soon.

This Theory About Neville Longbottom's Wand Explains Everything About Him
When we first meet Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter books, it's clear that he isn't that bright or great with his wand and magic. He constantly forgets items, manages to make a mess out of spells and potions, and is perceived as someone who is on the edge of being a squib. However, an old theory going viral on Imgur suggests that it's not Neville's fault at all, but rather his wand.
The theory, originally posted in 2004 by Soggy Old Coot on the Harry Potter Theory blogspot, explores the background of Neville's wand. As we all know, the wand chooses the wizard, and if you don't win a wand or buy a new one, it won't respond to the new owner in the proper manner. These laws of wands apply to Neville as well. His wand isn't his own, but his father's, meaning his trouble with magic might be because of this law of wands.
The story about Neville and his wand goes on further to connect it to Neville living under his father's shadow. No one thinks he's as good as his dad, and people take great pains to remind him of it. In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Neville says, "Gran's always telling Professor Marchbanks I'm not as good as my dad . . . " Of course, later in the book, Neville's wand breaks in the Department of Mysteries, and he starts to become more apt at using his new wand that chose him.
All of this means that Neville is definitely capable of magic and using a wand correctly. "Hence, it is only logical to assume that in ideal conditions, Neville is just as talented as Harry," writes Soggy Old Coot. "We have proof of this in that every instance in which Neville has demonstrated his potential or existing abilities has been in relation to Defense Against the Dark Arts, excepting his talents with herbology, which match those of Harry's at athletics." The books after Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix go on to show this, especially in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, where Neville manages to help win the war and make Voldemort vulnerable by killing Nagini.
Oh Neville, you're the wizard we should've had more faith in!

You'll Be Legit Jealous About What Life Would Be Like If Men Breastfed
As much as I love breastfeeding and am excited to begin the journey again soon with my second baby, there are most definitely times I wish I could pass along the task to my husband. Namely, when I'm stuck pumping.
The hilarious geniuses over at Naya Health took that desire one step further and imagined what life would be like if men actually breastfed. And, let me tell you, I'm jealous. Gone are the crowded supply closets working moms are relegated to during business hours, when pumping is often seen as an inconvenience by upper management. No, for men, it's a national pastime, complete with milk-production leaderboards, bartenders happily sanitizing flanges, and guys sitting around a craps table while showing off their tricked-out pumps, from a Mercedes-made one guaranteed to get you a full bottle in five minutes or less to a sleekly designed Apple iPump.
"Think our wives have any idea how hard we have it?" the topless guys ask while clinking beer steins. "There's a reason men do this job!"
But before this parody starts to get depressing, there's good news for those of us destined to lactate. Today, Naya launched a completely reimagined "smart" breast pump that promises to be faster, quieter, and more comfortable than any other on the market. Plus, early testing already has users generating 25 percent more milk per session.
Women, we might not have the fantasy, but there's hope for us yet.

Angelina Jolie Is Spotted in Public For the First Time Since Splitting From Brad Pitt
Angelina Jolie was seen arriving at Hotel Bel-Air in LA on Thursday afternoon. The actress, who's been keeping a low profile as of late, wore a long black dress, matching cardigan, and aviator sunglasses as she exited her car. While the casual outing marked the first time Angelina has been spotted in public since her split from Brad Pitt, she recorded a video for the International Criminal Court about their new policy regarding children back in November.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Angelina had been granted physical custody of her six kids, Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Zahara, and twins Vivienne and Knox, with Brad. In documents obtained by ET on Dec. 5, it was revealed that Brad will continue to have agreed-upon therapeutic visits with his children as seen fit by the family's therapist, and will also continue to attend weekly individual and group therapy and submit to random drug and alcohol tests. As to whether or not Brad will see his children for the holidays, a source says, "If a child says they don't want to see Brad on Christmas, the psychiatrist isn't going to force them. That's the whole purpose of this agreement."
Tina Fey and Jon Hamm Have a Funny 30 Rock Reunion at a Hollywood Reporter Event
Tina Fey was honored at The Hollywood Reporter's annual Women in Entertainment Power 100 Breakfast in LA on Wednesday. The actress, writer, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt creator was introduced to the stage by her friend and former 30 Rock costar Jon Hamm before being presented with the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award. During her acceptance speech, Tina took a few opportunities to poke fun at Jon, who played her impossibly handsome boyfriend Dr. Drew Baird on the hit NBC comedy. "In his defense, he thought this was a thing where you could eat breakfast off of a hundred women," she said to the room, which included Desperate Housewives costars Eva Longoria and Felicity Huffman, Thelma & Louise stars Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis, and honoree Ryan Murphy, who was joined by Glee's Lea Michele.
When touching on her evolving career and longtime personal and professional relationships with SNL alums Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer, and Rachel Dratch, Tina threw shade at Donald Trump: "We love to work and to do good work, but we don't need approval in the same way. We're adults now, and I think we're really starting to ask ourselves, 'What's next for me? What is my role in this business going to be once nobody wants to grab me by the p*ssy anymore?'" She also gave equally hilarious advice to the younger Hollywood generation: "I say, 'Don't smoke. Wear a bra. Trust your instincts. Don't f*ck John Mayer.'"

This Video of Dwayne Johnson Reuniting a Military Family Will Make You Ugly-Cry
Dwayne Johnson just provided us all with another reason to love him. After joking that being named People's Sexiest Man Alive has turned him into a "monster," the Moana star teamed up with Jimmy Fallon to give The Tonight Show producer and Army vet Karina Kabalan the surprise of a lifetime by bringing her husband, Air Force sergeant Todd Kabalan, home early for the holidays. "You guys have been living apart for the past year and a half because he is 5,000 miles away," Dwayne told Karina. "We wanted to thank you and your husband for your service and your sacrifice and I personally heard you are the most amazing person and we wanted to bring your husband home for you for the holidays." The Hardest Part of Being Jewish on Christmas Isn't What You Think
The hardest part of being Jewish on Christmas has nothing to do with piles of presents under the tree or virtually everything under the sun being closed that day. We have our Christmas traditions, too. On Christmas Eve we pop a big bowl of popcorn and sit down for a family movie marathon of Elf and Home Alone. It continues the next morning with the 24-hour marathon of The Christmas Story followed by a trip to the local movie theater for whatever movie is debuting that day (and there's always a good one!) and concluding with dinner in our favorite Chinese restaurant where the dishes are presented with a flourish that we don't see on a normal Sunday night dinner.
No, the hardest part of being Jewish on Christmas has nothing to do with the actual day itself, but with that joyous, white-bearded man who miraculously delivers presents to good little girls and boys all around the world over the course of one looooong night. While Santa may be the source of joy and happiness to your children, he's the reason for a lot of questioning in my home.
Not wanting to be the parent of the child who "breaks the news" about Santa, we perpetuate the story to our children each year. They hear stories on the playground about Santa delivering exactly what their friends want each year. That he actually ate the cookies they put out. That he even left footprints on the rug! This inevitably leads to conversations about why Santa doesn't visit us.
Child: "Why doesn't Santa visit us?"
Parent: "Because we're Jewish, and Santa doesn't visit kids who aren't Christian."
Child: "How does he know we're Jewish?"
Parent: "Santa just knows."
Child: "Does he ever make a mistake?"
Parent: "I don't think so. Plus, we have a mezuzah on our door, so it tells him that we're Jewish."
Child: "What if we take it down for the night. Do you think we can trick him?"
Parent: "What's that? I think my phone's ringing. I have to get that!"
We've found ways to preserve the Santa story, without getting too involved in it, because in my mind the worst thing that can happen is my child telling your child that it is all a myth. But as my kids get older, they're getting skeptical.
My 9-year-old came home from school last week - on the fifth night of Hanukkah - and told me that "that whole Santa thing can't be true." He just didn't think it made sense. A wave of panic washed over me as it occurred to me that maybe I was maintaining a myth that his friends' parents had already dispelled. The only thing worse than my child breaking the news to his friends, may possibly be him insisting Santa was real while his friends made fun of him for believing myth! What if I was being so cautious that I ended up having the only child in the group who still believed!
I quickly changed the subject asking him to get the menorah ready for the night while I texted his friends' parents to get the lowdown on Santa. Consensus was that most of the kids still believe, but there are some raised eyebrows among these fourth graders.
Determined not to be the parent of the child who bursts their bubble, I'm treading carefully these days. When my son brought up the subject again this weekend, I insisted that Santa exists for those who believe. He looked at me quizzically, but didn't say anything. We're still over a week away from the big day and I know more questions are on the horizon. I'll continue to stay the course, until I hear otherwise from my fellow parenting squad. And in the meantime, I'm pre-buying my tickets to Concussion and already have my reservation for our favorite Chinese dinner.

Sterling K. Brown is one of our biggest Hollywood crushes, and it's not just because he's very, very good-looking. Simpson and This Is Us, has been married to his college sweetheart, Ryan Michelle Bathe, for nine years. Is Bella Hadid Her Family's Queen Elsa? These White-Hot Pictures Suggest as Much
Bella Hadid is aware that she seems like the icy counterpart to Gigi Hadid's sunny disposition. In a recent interview with Paper, she recognized the perception of her as the more serious one in the supermodel sister duo. She told the magazine, "People say that I don't smile, or that I don't have a personality." While she insists that's not the case, she certainly embraced that collective assumption in the edgy editorial featuring bleached brows, chilling platinum hair, and, yes, nipple piercings.
While we're accustomed to Bella's rich brunette hair, the 20-year-old model is actually a natural blonde - evident in the many childhood pictures frequently shared by her mom. Her platinum hair here, however, is a definite departure from any shade she's rocked in the past, ultimately proving that she can pull anything off.
Look ahead for NSFW pictures from her unexpected (and electrifying!) look.
Amazon Revolutionized Grocery Shopping - and No, It's Not a Delivery Service
Amazon is eliminating checkout lines and making grocery shopping faster than ever with its newest business venture, Amazon Go. It's an actual grocery store that you walk into, browse and pick up items from shelves, and then . . . walk straight out without paying at a register. "Four years ago, we started to wonder, 'what would shopping look like if you could walk into a store, grab what you want, and just go?'" the narrator of the Amazon Go tutorial video explained.
How does it work? To enter the store, you just have to scan your Amazon Go app at the entrance. Amazon detects and records items automatically every time you pick something up or put it back down - you don't even have to scan the grocery items on your app. Once you walk out of the store, your Amazon account is charged and you'll receive a receipt on your app. "We used senior fusion, much like you'd find in self-driving cars," the video noted. Kind of like being charged for Uber or Lyft without swiping your card, the Amazon Go process allows you to leave the store as soon as you're done shopping, avoiding the checkout process altogether.
For now, the sole Amazon Go is located in Seattle and is only open to Amazon employees, but according to the company, the store will be open to the public in early 2017. If you (like me) delight in the idea of going grocery shopping without making small talk or waiting in long lines, let's hope this idea catches on fast.

To the Parents I Judged Before I Was a Parent: I'm Sorry
There I was, a 30-year-old woman who taught preschool and was a private tutor, walking down the aisles at Target when I saw her.
She was a woman with a toddler - no older than 3 - and in the middle of Winter her toddler was gasp - Not. Wearing. Shoes! He just hung out in the shopping cart with his dangling freezing tootsies.
It's Winter, I thought. What is she thinking? I made my silent smug judgment, picked up my one item I went into Target for, although I left with 50 other things, and walked away knowing I would never do that!
Not me, I said.
It was a lovely Summer night, and I was out to dinner at a romantic location with my ex who was my husband at the time. Sitting at a table next to us was a family of three: a wife, husband, and a 4-year-old girl. She was adorable but utterly loud. No amount of preschool experience could help me tune out this kid. Waiters thought she was cute, but me? Nope. She was my nemesis. All I wanted was to enjoy a glass of wine and some penne pasta, but this kid with her yammering was ruining the "mood" I was trying to set with the hubby. Eye roll.
I started to daydream of how I could entice this kid out of the restaurant. Maybe dangle Mickey Mouse on a fishing pole out the door? Tell her Santa Claus was in the parking lot.
Why do people have to bring their kids to regular adult restaurants? I told the husband. Why can't they go to Friendly's or Pizza Hut? Don't they know better?
I'd never do that. Not me.
Oh, the smugness! The ignorance!
Let's not forget the spectacular backseat parenting I did when you know, I had barely parented a Chia pet.
As I watched a mom shove a lollipop into her whiny kid's mouth while at the doctor's, I broke out my Rules on How to Parent.
"I'd never do that with my kid. Tell him to be quiet and redirect him. She's just trying to shut him up, but instead, she's spoiling him," I thought to myself.
That was said and done with an - eek - shake of my head.
I'd never do that. Not me.
Then there was the time one of the parents of my students told me, "Oh junior likes to sleep with us from time to time. Actually, pretty much every night. He's having a hard time getting out of our bed."
He's in kindergarten, I thought. It's time to cut the cord already. If I were MOM OF THE YEAR, I would give him the boot already. How do his parents have sex?
I'm never doing that, I thought.
In fact, just keep inserting ways I, the person who had never changed a diaper, silently judged (or sometimes not so silently) parents - whether it was about eating habits or clothing choices. Apparently, I had forgotten to tell the world that I knew everything about parenting.
Well, to the woman at Target, the wife and husband dining with their kid, the lollipop mom, cosleeping parents, and pretty much everyone I advised on what to do when I knew zilch about zilch:
I'm sorry!
There I was, in the middle of Target approximately four years after I witnessed the horrifying sight of a toddler's bare toes in the middle of the Winter, with my very own toddler dressed in a dress in the middle of last year's polar vortex. She had a coat on, but no hat. As I pulled up to pay for my items, an elderly lady touched my daughter's head (oh lady, don't you go there! Parenting pet peeve!) and said to me, "She needs a hat."
I'd like to tell you that I graciously smiled, but really I dreamed of choking that woman and telling her to go wear her own hat. Instead, I nodded and said, "Uh-huh," while paying for my goods.
You see, like many kids, my kid hates to be bundled up, which is something I didn't know when I was "Laura Know-It-All," and we had a major war over the hat and dress. I tried getting her to wear flannel-lined jeans and a hat. I actually prayed to the god (goddess) of Cinderella I was so desperate. After a screaming match and battle of the wills, I gave up.
Karma was a b*tch, indeed.
Not me? Oh, yes! Yes, me!
And four years after I saw that couple eating out at a romantic restaurant with their kid, there I was at an Italian restaurant, desperately hungry and dying to do something with other adult people. Of course, I didn't have anyone to watch my kid like so many other parents, so I did what I had to in order to converse with someone over 2 years of age: I brought my child. And what did she do?
She got up and danced and sang at high-decibel levels. No one seemed to mind that (I guess they weren't all a bunch of judgmental jerks like I was), but of course, my daughter mooned everyone at the end of "her song" to add more of a burlesque element to her show.
To the keeper of the universe: Ha ha - you really got me, didn't you?
Let's not forget the many times during my daughter's first year and a half of life in which I decided to not leave her in her bed, but instead, pop a boob in her mouth and bring her to sleep with me. Why? I was tired and lazy. Teething was a b*tch, and I was its slave.
There I was on my phone, telling my sister why I didn't think it was such a big deal to cosleep sometimes as she was telling me "Tisk-tisk, she'll want to stay in your bed forever."
Now at almost 4 years old, I still invite my little one to sleep with me as a special treat on the weekends from time to time, or when she wakes up early and this single divorced mommy is too tired to parent. Instead, I let Mickey Mouse take my job, and we hang in bed while I sleep and she watches.
To the parent who I shook my head at and judged: who's the one with the full bed now? Hmm.
Let's not forget the time I brought my daughter into Victoria's Secret to pick up a bra because heaven forbid a mother shop with her child, and she ran around trying the bras on her head. Or when I brought her to the register and a young couple swooped down to say how cute she was, and as I told her to tell them hello, she yelled, "No!" and gave them a face only a mother could love.
(And trust me with that grimace it takes a lot of work to feel love for that mug!)
Or the time she decided to do a toddler-version exercise routine that only Richard Simmons could love in the middle of a busy Manhattan restaurant. To add insult to injury, it was a freezing-cold day out, and she didn't want to wear her coat. As I took her out of the restaurant coat-less, I saw the hostess' face wince.
And there I saw myself, just five years before. I wanted to grab her by the arm and whisper, "Your time is coming honey. Just you wait. One day, your kid will be flashing her 'boobies' at age 2 in the middle of Starbucks."
Of course, this time, I won't judge.

28 Fashion Facts About Victoria Beckham That Just Might Blow Your Mind
My first and fondest memory of Victoria Beckham is from Spice World. The then-pop star, who went by the name of Posh, stood in front of the mirror on the Spice Girls tour bus, admiring herself in "the little Gucci dress," as Emma, Mel B., Mel C., and Geri looked on in amusement. Posh was trying to figure out what to wear, which always culminated in her go-to uniform. Not much has changed.
While Beckham has recently defined her style as rather relaxed with a pair of sneakers, there's no denying her taste for sophistication. She prefers structured silhouettes that still flatter the body from all angles and she designs her collections to reflect that aesthetic season after season. While she's made the tricky transition from celebrity to well-respected, award-winning fashion leader, her love for the industry has remained steadfast along the way. Read on to track Victoria's fashion timeline and learn plenty of facts you've never read before.
There Is Nothing More Precious Than David Beckham's Bond With His Daughter, Harper
We always enjoy seeing the Beckham family together, but we especially love seeing David and Harper out and about. Whether they're hiking up a mountain, taking in a hockey match, or sitting front row at Victoria's fashion shows, there's no denying David and Harper's one-of-a-kind bond. The proud father even got Harper's name tattooed on his neck. Now if that isn't love, then we don't know what is.
Jennifer Lawrence Shines Brighter Than the Lights in Altuzarra Spring '17
It's only been a few months since these looks ahead hit the catwalk, but that won't stop stars from wearing them, simultaneously proving that clothes are becoming seasonless, ready to wear at a moment's notice. While Diane Kruger was the first one to debut Spring 2017 right off the runway, ladies like Emma Stone have had the honor multiple times, and Queen Rania just walked the red carpet in a fresh Valentino gown.
Plenty of ladies have already done their Spring shopping - or rather, wearing - opting for fresh pieces from Rodarte, Gucci, Jason Wu, Reem Acra, and more. Read on to see the latest and buzziest looks, then check back to see which star gets the honorable fashion nod next.
Relive the Moment Adele Rapped to Nicki Minaj During Her Hilarious Carpool Karaoke Session
James Corden's Carpool Karaoke sessions are basically a staple at this point, and in January 2016, he kicked off the year with the one and only Adele. While driving around their native London, James calls the legendary singer from outside and recites some of her own lyrics to her. "Hello, it's me," he said. "I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet. Hello from the outside." After the two get going, they belt out some of her greatest hits, including "Hello" and "Rolling in the Deep," before Adele launches into a jaw-dropping performance of Nicki Minaj's "Monster." Relive the epic session above, then check out all of James's Carpool Karaoke sessions.

This Hot, Successful Dude Picked Out 10 Grooming Gifts For the Men in Your Life
This holiday season, POPSUGAR Beauty tapped some of our favorite influencers, including popular brand owners, bloggers, pros, and celebrities, to share the gifts they would like to receive or give. Find more gifting inspiration here.
Michael Dubin changed the shaving game. When he launched his company, Dollar Shave Club, in 2011, it quickly became a hit with men (and even some female POPSUGAR staffers) looking for inexpensive razors. The subscription service supplies its customers with shaving goods at nice prices (starting at $1 per blade), and recently, the brand expanded to include more grooming items. (He also starred in this viral video.) Since Dubin seems to know what people want, we had to get his advice on gift giving.
"While shopping for the holidays, I'm very practical," he told us via email. "My general gifting approach is to find gifts that are personal and useful. I think it's a nice gesture to find a present that adds value and convenience, whether I'm shopping for my mom or a colleague. And if you still can't find anything last minute, a thoughtful card goes a long way."

Become a Healthy Baker With These Surprising Butter Substitutes
Baking calms the mind and feeds the soul, but all that buttery goodness can pack on the pounds. If you're looking to make healthier baked goods, omitting some or all of the butter from your favorite recipes can greatly reduce the calories, fat, and cholesterol. There are countless ways to replace eggs in recipes, and here are healthier alternatives to using butter (great for vegan bakers, too).
- Applesauce: Often used to replace oil in recipes, applesauce can also be used as a butter alternative, and it works best in cake-like recipes (like this vegan banana apple chunk bread). Replace half the amount of butter in your recipe with applesauce; if the recipe calls for one cup of butter, use half a cup of butter and half a cup of applesauce. If you don't mind a denser, more moist bread, replace all the butter with applesauce to cut even more calories and fat.
- Avocado: Substitute half the amount of butter in a baking recipe with mashed avocado (it works well with cookies and quick breads like these pumpkin apple muffins); use the same method as you would when using applesauce. Using avocado not only lowers the calorie content, but also creates a softer, moister baked good, and is perfect if you want to omit the dairy. You can also use avocado in place of butter to make vegan "buttercream" frosting.
- Earth Balance: Replace all the butter with Earth Balance to reduce saturated fat and cholesterol. Using Smart Balance rather than Earth Balance will also save some calories, and note that Original Smart Balance is now dairy-free!
- Canola oil: In certain recipes, replacing butter with oil works well, especially if the recipe calls for melted butter. Fiddle with your favorite recipes to figure out when canola works instead of butter; when baking chocolate chip cookies, I've had success substituting half a cup of canola oil for half a cup of unsalted butter. Although slightly higher in calories, canola is much lower in saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium.
- Greek yogurt: Replace half the amount of butter in your cookie recipes with half the amount of full-fat plain Greek yogurt. For example, if the recipe calls for one cup of butter, use half a cup of butter and one quarter cup of yogurt. You'll reduce the calories and the saturated fat. Play around with using more yogurt and less butter to see if you still like the taste and consistency. Here are more ways to use Greek yogurt in baking recipes. If you're avoiding dairy, use soy yogurt instead, like this recipe for protein banana bread.
- Prune purée: Often used to help little ones stay regular, prune purée also makes a low-calorie and low-fat alternative to butter. Whatever amount of butter the recipe calls for, replace it completely with store-bought baby food prune purée (unless you have time to make your own; just purée prunes in the food processor). This option works well in recipes that involve chocolate and cinnamon.

This Is Why 2016 Was a Great Year For Selena Quintanilla Fans
No one can deny that since the untimely passing of Selena Quintanilla 21 years ago in Corpus Christi, TX, her memory and music have remained present. But unlike other years past, 2016 felt defining. This was the year with the most beautiful and remarkable tributes to the late tejano singer.
In the past 12 months, the Latino music community and Selena's old and new fans have been vocal, petitioning big brands to honor their idol and celebrating every win and tribute loudly. Thanks to them, Selena was not only recognized as the top Latino artist of the year at the Latin Billboard Music Awards, but was also included in the list of icons receiving a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2017. And, of course, it goes without mentioning that the singer's MAC Cosmetics collection was a sensation, selling out in mere minutes and causing a frenzy of internet reactions. And that wasn't even all. Keep reading to see 17 moments that made 2016 a great year for Selena's fans.
Whoa! Charlie Hunnam, Where the Hell Have You Been?
Charlie Hunnam popped up in LA for a hike on Friday morning, and we have to admit that we did a double take. It's been nearly four months since we last saw the former Sons of Anarchy star out and about, and if it wasn't for Google Images, we might have forgotten what he looked like. Luckily, Charlie is just as handsome as he's always been - even in rolled sweatpants, a long-sleeved Nike jacket, and knit cap. Where work is concerned, it was recently announced that Charlie's latest project, the Guy Ritchie-directed King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, would be pushed back from March to May 2017. The 36-year-old's other film, Zoe, is in pre-production and also stars Léa Seydoux. Hopefully we'll see more of Charlie in the coming months.

Keep Bread Fresh (Practically) Forever With This Trick
Few things are sadder than tossing out a stale half-loaf of beautiful artisanal (or homemade) bread. The problem: said beautiful bread lacks the stabilizers present in commercial presliced loaves, and so it goes from rocking your world to rock-hard ridiculously fast. The solution: eat more bread a simple trick involving your freezer.
Here's what you should do:
- Within 24 hours (maximum) of cutting into a loaf, slice up the remaining bread. (Don't wait until it's already turned the corner; at that point, your best bet is giving leftovers a second life as croutons, breadcrumbs, or bread pudding.) Don't just stick the bread in the freezer unsliced. Unless your kitchen is equipped with a buzz saw, there's no chance you're going to be able to slice it without thawing the entire loaf first (trust us, we've tried).
- Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment or wax paper, arrange the slices in one layer on top of that, and put it in the freezer, uncovered, until frozen solid. (The parchment will prevent the gorgeous, moist crumb of the bread from sticking to the pan, and the single layer will prevent the slices from freezing stuck to each other.)
- Once the bread slices are frozen, transfer them to a resealable freezer bag, removing as much air from the bag as possible.
- When a bread craving hits, take out just as many slices of bread as you'll eat then, and either let them thaw at room temperature, or put them directly in the toaster (they'll take about one extra minute to toast). The texture of the bread will be about 95 percent as good as fresh bread and far better than second-day, already-starting-to-go-stale bread. Stored frozen (in a resealable freezer bag), sliced bread will stay fresh and delicious for at least six months, if not longer.

Rita Ora Warns That the New Season of America's Next Top Model "Isn't a Fairy Tale"
When America's Next Top Model first premiered in the early days of reality TV in 2003, few could have known that Tyra Banks would later turn the series into a pop cultural juggernaut that would last 12 years and 22 seasons before finally getting the ax from The CW in 2015. Thankfully, VH1 swooped in to give the fashion franchise a facelift, tapping singer and up-and-coming actress Rita Ora to slip into Banks's very, very high heels as host. For anyone worried that cycle 23 of the show will be completely different, don't be; the first episode is full of the requisite sob stories and catfights, as well as one contestant's seriously questionable impression of Ora's British accent.
Overall, though, it seems like ANTM is heading in a positive new direction. During a brief cameo in the premiere, Banks tells eager young contestants - who hail all the way from Texas to Seattle to West Africa - that she's "not looking for a traditional model, and I'm not looking for a social media model." Instead, she tells them, she's "looking for both." With the rise of social-media-made talent like Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, the show is hoping to find a boss with a marketable brand, rather than just a pretty face. We recently sat down with Ora to discuss what it takes to win, the crazy photo shoots that are in store, and how the show plans on addressing body positivity despite zero plus-size contestants in the line-up.
POPSUGAR: Part of why this franchise has become so iconic is thanks to the strong presence of Tyra Banks. Was it daunting to take over for her?
Rita Ora: Well, I never wanted to fill Tyra's shoes. I just wanted to create new ones. I say that because you can't fill her shoes - it's been 22 cycles and it's like . . . there's no point in trying. I sat down with Tyra and her team, and we just sort of said, if I was to do this show, how are we going to make it brand new so that it doesn't look like "Rita against Tyra," you know what I'm saying? That's when the rebranding happened. Instead of us finding a beautiful girl who takes a beautiful photo, it's about finding a beautiful girl who can take a great photo and become a brand, have a following, and leave the competition being a threat to the Gigis and the Bellas. That, for me, is what we are trying to find.
PS: The emphasis on the new contestants creating a brand for themselves and essentially becoming entrepreneurs as well as models is really interesting - do you have any advice on how women who want to try out for the show's next cycle should prepare?
RO: Start now. If you're looking to come in next year, start now. As in, get your look together, get your ideas together, get your online presence somewhat happening in some sort of way. Have at least 100, 200, maybe 1,000 followers. Just show me your initiative. I want to see where your brain wants to go, that's really important to me. You don't have to be a success already!
PS: One of the most beloved parts of ANTM has to be its insane fashion shoots. Do you have a personal favorite from the upcoming season, or can you tell us a little bit about them?
RO: This is a fashion show, so we still want to keep things top fashion. Of course we're finding a business brand and a boss, but we're also making sure the fashion and the images are right. Yes, they have to go through it. They have to be cold outside, they have to create some form of attention, they need to make an online video . . . there's actually this scene which is so interesting because obviously DJ Khaled is a great friend of mine, and we share the same birthday. Did you know that?
PS: I didn't!
RO: [laughs] Well for me, he's the King of Snapchat. Who better to give advice for online presence than DJ Khaled? There's a competition that involves them having the certain amount of time that Snapchat gives to do something interesting. I won't tell you what they do, but that for me was fun. We cast a winner off that, and the prize is great. The prizes are phenomenal.
PS: I know Ashley Graham is one of the judges this season, but there aren't any plus-size models in this cycle. You mentioned that you want the show to be rooted in high fashion, but given the backlash the fashion and beauty industries have been receiving over the last few years in regards to promoting poor body image, does the show have any plans to address it?
RO: First of all, when we thought about the panel, I really wanted to create a 360-degree factory for the girls. Drew [Elliott] does the magazines and has the capability to give you a cover, and Law [Roach] turns you into a star, dressing and styling you up so you believe in yourself. Ashley, her story is so interesting and I don't think a lot of people know that about Ashley as much as they should. When Ashley started there was no Instagram . . . I mean when I started I don't think there was Instagram? No, there wasn't. What that means is that we're still here, tackling technology, and that's important. Ashley gives the girls advice to be proud of their bodies. There aren't any plus-size contestants, but there doesn't have to be. That's not what we're trying to do - what we're trying to do is find a superstar in whatever size. It's more about the confidence value. Of course they can audition, because we welcome all sizes. It's more about timing and her story, and the inspiration behind it.
PS: Speaking of the judges, the dynamic between Tyra, Miss J, and Nigel Barker in the previous seasons was always so fun. What's the dynamic like between you guys? It looks like you all got along pretty well in the first episode.
RO: Not all the time!
PS: No?
RO: We get along! But we don't always agree. There are some times when we're like "what are you talking about?" And sometimes I'm like, "you guys are crazy!" And I'm the only one who disagrees with all three of them. But that's how it is! It's not a fairy tale. This is real life, and I want people to understand that. The show is real, the events are real, and the girls' emotional roller coasters are real. It's also fun, you've got to remember that. It's a fun show. It's lighthearted to the point where we make the girls have fun with it, as well.
PS: If you had to sum up the new season in just three words, what would it be?
RO: Crazy, dramatic, and just . . . inspiring.
