All the Drama That's Gone Down Since Mariah Carey's Disastrous New Year's Eve Performance
This post has been updated with new information.
Thanks to Mariah Carey's iconic Christmas hit, "All I Want For Christmas Is You," the music legend is practically synonymous with the holidays. It seemed like a no-brainer, then, that she was asked to perform a slew of her biggest singles during Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve in NYC on Saturday night. Unfortunately, all did not go according to plan thanks to a number of technical difficulties, which revealed Mariah was lip-syncing and led to her walking off the stage (you can watch the performance here). "Trying to be a good sport here," she told the crowd about the glitch, explaining, "We didn't have a check for this song . . . we're missing some of the vocals, but it is what it is. I'm just going to let the audience sing. We didn't have a sound check for this New Year's baby, it is what it is." Unsurprisingly, people on social media quickly went in on the singer.
It seemed like it would all blow over soon enough, but since the incident, Mariah's team and ABC have been in a savage back and forth about who is to blame for the bad vocals. It doesn't seem like the drama is going to die down anytime soon, so check out a timeline of everything that's happened below.
- Mariah laughs off the incident on social media. A few hours after the performance, she posted a GIF of herself shrugging on Instagram along with the caption, "Sh*t happens 😩 Have a happy and healthy new year everybody!🎉 Here's to making more headlines in 2017 😂."
- Her camp reportedly claims they were sabotaged. Despite her seeming to have a sense of humor about it all, TMZ reported on Jan. 1 that Mariah and her team felt she was purposefully sabotaged by execs at Dick Clark Productions to score higher ratings and that her earpieces weren't working.
- Mariah's manager releases a statement blaming ABC. "We told them [the stage managers] that the in-ears were not working 10 minutes before the performance," Mariah's manager, Stella Bulochnikov, told Billboard. "They then changed the battery pack, and they were still not working on the frequency four minutes before the show. We let them know again, and they just kept counting her down and reassuring her that they will work as soon as they go live, which never happened - at which point she pulled them out but could not hear the music over the crowd."
On top of accusations about the technical difficulties, Stella also decried ABC's choice to air the botched performance on the West Coast despite her request for them not to. "After the show, I called [Dick Clark Productions'] Mark Shimmel and I said, 'What the f*ck happened?' He said, 'Let me call you back,' then called me back and confirmed the in-ears were not working and asked if I would make a joint statement. I said, 'No way.' I asked him to cut the West Coast feed. He said he could not do that. I asked him why would they want to run a performance with mechanical glitches unless they just want eyeballs at any expense . . . It's not artist-friendly, especially when the artist cut her vacation short as a New Year's Eve gift to them."
- Dick Clark Productions denies any involvement in sabotaging the performance. "As the premier producer of live television events for nearly 50 years, we pride ourselves on our reputation and long-standing relationships with artists," they wrote on Jan. 1. "To suggest that DCP, as producer of music shows including the American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, New Year's Rockin' Eve and Academy of Country Music Awards, would ever intentionally compromise the success of any artist is defamatory, outrageous and frankly absurd. In very rare instances there are of course technical errors that can occur with live television, however, an initial investigation has indicated that DCP had no involvement in the challenges associated with Ms. Carey's New Year's Eve performance. We want to be clear that we have the utmost respect for Ms. Carey as an artist and acknowledge her tremendous accomplishments in the industry."
- Mariah thanks her fans. As accusations flew between both parties, Mariah took to Twitter to send a message to her "lambs": "I always always love seeing #Lambily members in the audience. Thank you for all your love and support. #LYM 😘❤️"
- DCP reportedly continues to pin the blame on Mariah. According to TMZ's sources, the singer "refused to personally do a sound check" and there was more than enough sound on stage for her to properly hear the music.
- Mariah's team apparently wants an apology from DCP. A source at E! News revealed on Jan. 2 that she "went through vocals and her team ran through sound" and that "all was well at rehearsal" but that "DCP knew her ear piece wasn't working and sent her on stage regardless." "It was sloppy and unprofessional on their part. Their statement says they didn't intentionally sabotage her, which [her team] agrees with. It doesn't apologize for failing to do a good job producing her performance, which is what happened. Her team knows that there are sometimes technical issues with live performances. All her manager asked DCP for was an apology for the poor job that they did producing and support of Mariah."
- Mariah gives her first interview since the performance. While chatting with Entertainment Weekly, Mariah opened up about her awkward performance and also praised the late Dick Clark, saying, "All I can say is Dick Clark was an incredible person and I was lucky enough to work with him when I first started in the music business. I'm of the opinion that Dick Clark would not have let an artist go through that and he would have been as mortified as I was in real time." She also revealed that the incident wasn't going to stop her from doing any future live TV events, adding, "It's not going to stop me from doing a live event in the future, but it will make me less trusting of using anyone outside of my own team." As for her reaction, Mariah says, "My true fans have been so supportive and I am so appreciative of them and everybody in the media that came out to support me after the fact because it really was an incredible holiday season that turned into a horrible New Year's Eve."
- Mariah parts ways with her creative director. ET reported on Tuesday that Mariah is no longer working with her creative director and tour choreographer, Anthony Burrell. A source close to the star told the publication, "He's not being brought back [in 2017] for a number of reasons." The insider also claims that Anthony's departure is due to a decision he made about moving Mariah's backup singers off the stage during her performance to make room for the dancers, leaving Mariah "without any support," as backup singers help artists pick up cues if their earpieces fail or they can't hear the music.
- Mariah's manager speaks out. Mariah's manager, Stella Bulochnikov told E! News, "The country deserved better than that." "It's disgusting that they wouldn't edit a better performance for west coast and say, 'Hey, listen we're so sorry that we had a mechanical problem but we love you Mariah, we're grateful to you Mariah, we're going to do anything we can to give America the right performance.'" She then accused Dick Clark Productions of not cutting the west coast feed to score higher ratings, adding, "No one even ran out to say to us, 'Hey would you please reshoot? Can you hang back for a few minutes? And can we shoot something else?' And we would've stayed on that stage and shot it, but nobody ran out . . . There's not a human being on the planet that could change my mind that they didn't do this for a viral moment for ratings and that's my problem."
Fingers crossed they can come to an agreement and put this mess behind them ASAP.
This Student Managed to Turn His 5-Day Mumps Quarantine Into a Snapchat Masterpiece
When freshman Yale student Tarek Ziad found himself quarantined with mumps for five whole days he decided to do what any other millennial would: document his struggles on Snapchat. In the 6 minute clip he uploaded onto YouTube, the witty 18-year-old turned the boring duration of being locked in Yale Health's infirmary room by himself into an exciting one.
While lamenting over how he forgot to bring his phone charger, Tarek recorded a short mock commercial about how Yale Health provides patients with "the world's smallest phone charger." He also joked about how those infamous pink hospital jugs look eerily similar to mini-trash cans. "No, this isn't a trash can. It's a water bottle," he said.
Tarek also quipped about being disappointed when Yale Health nurses showed up without wearing nurse hats as shown on the nurse call button. "Frankly, I feel cheated and lied to." Watch the humorous Snapchat video in its entirety above and see for yourself why everyone can't stop laughing at it.
Award Season Just Started, but Nicole Kidman Already Showed Up in the Most Popular Dress
It's not uncommon for stars to start plucking dresses from the runway as soon as they're debuted. But there has been no collection so exciting to choose from as Dior's Spring 2017 line. Jennifer Lawrence and Bella Hadid have already selected more than one look from designer Maria Grazia Chiuri's first show for the fashion house. Perhaps it's because these stylish, sensible celebrities like what the clothes stand for: a marriage of feminist phrases on graphic tees with pretty tulle skirts. Every outfit proved that a lady can look girlie, but be strong as hell in her ways.
In 2016 alone, 17 of these Dior ensembles have been shown off twice - once on the catwalk, and later on the red carpet. Though some have seen minor tweaks in colorway, straps, or embroidery patterns, these designs are clearly causing a craze. We predict it will extend far into award season, so don't be surprised when the actors gather at the upcoming ceremonies, and Dior dresses are all over the place. Nicole Kidman just kicked off award season in one of the iconic gowns, after all. Scroll to see them all.
Chris Pratt Gets Real About Love Scenes (With His Wife!) and Being "Too Fat" For a Role
Chris Pratt has been on quite the hot streak since he left the world of TV - we'll always love you, Andy Dwyer - for the big screen. His recent blockbusters, like Zero Dark Thirty, Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World, and Passengers, have made him a household name, but that doesn't mean he's afraid to speak candidly about his past career flops and failures. Chris is the star of Vanity Fair's February issue, and in addition to letting his eyes pierce your soul from the cover, he also talks about being called "too fat" for a role and what it's been like to reunite with wife Anna Faris on set, specifically about how much fun the couple, who met on the set of the '80s comedy Take Me Home Tonight, had while filming love scenes during his cameo on Anna's CBS show Mom. Read his quotes below.
- On what motivated him to lose weight: "[After auditioning to play Oakland A's first baseman and catcher Scott Hatteberg in 2011's Moneyball] That was the first time I heard someone say, 'We're not gonna cast you - you're too fat.' So I decided to drop the weight, like in wrestling. I couldn't afford a trainer, so it was all running and crash-dieting and cutting alcohol."
- On Zero Dark Thirty convincing him he could be an action hero: "That's the first time I bulked up, got into great shape because I was playing a navy SEAL. [After watching the movie] I was like, My God, I buy that guy. I'm SEAL Team Six in that movie, and I felt like it was real. I can do this. I can play those roles."
- On President-elect Donald Trump's controversial Access Hollywood comments: "'When you're a star, you could do anything' - the offensive thing to me about that was Trump calling himself a star. It's like 'Come on, dude.' It's not because I consider myself a star, but if I ever heard someone say that, one of my peers, I'd instantly lose respect for them."
- On what he looked like when he first came to Hollywood: "I looked exactly like Heath Ledger. I had long blond hair, still bleached out, Hawaiian . . . That's what people were always saying: 'Man, you look just like Heath Ledger.' Then I saw Heath Ledger on the cover of Vanity Fair and I thought, 'Hey, I do look just like that guy.'"
- On playing wife Anna Faris's love interest on Mom: "Normally, when you do a kissing scene, it's awkward, and when it's done you say, 'Are you OK?' But this was different. After they yelled 'Cut,' we laughed and just kept on kissing."

8 Reasons Eating Sweet Potatoes Is the Best Thing You Could Do For Your Health
Ever wondered why ancient South and Central American civilizations had a soft spot for sweet potatoes? Sure, the delicious taste of the root vegetable is almost irresistible, but we have a feeling those early inhabitants of what's now Latin America knew a thing or two about its many benefits.
Did you know, for example, that the spuds are a great source of vitamin A? Or that if half of your diet was purely made of the veggie, you would still be getting enough nutrients? Scroll ahead for these and even more fascinating reasons you should add more of the tuber to your meals.
- They're low-calorie and naturally sweet, so you can eat them more frequently without feeling guilty.
- Forget about oranges - one sweet potato contains 35 percent of your daily dose of vitamin C, which might help to cure a cold as well as skin wounds, bones, and teeth.
- Because they are high in fiber, sweet potatoes are filling and reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease.
- According to the USDA, a medium-size sweet potato contains more than a day's worth of vitamin A, which plays a role in immunity, cell growth, eye and skin health (beauty bonus!), and preventing heart, lung, and kidney problems.
- The low-to-moderate glycemic index number of boiled or steamed sweet potatoes means they don't significantly raise your blood sugar levels, and you know what that means: no sugary cravings in the middle of the day. Keeping this index balanced also prevents diabetes and weight gain.
- Sweet potatoes are rich in antioxidants, particularly polyphenols and vitamin C. These free-radical-fighting particles are basically little wonders with studies saying they could play a role in the hindering of cancer and aging.
- Ever heard that slicing sweet potatoes and putting them under your eyes can reduce the look of puffiness? There's some truth to that. A study showed that purple sweet potatoes have high anti-inflammatory powers.
- Believe it or not, sweet potatoes have more potassium than bananas, meaning they're better at fighting strokes, guaranteeing good digestion, and even helping you avoid muscle cramps.
Sound the Alarms: Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield Reunite at the AFI Awards
The annual AFI Awards luncheon rolled through LA on Friday, and while we expected Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling to stick together, we didn't see the reunion between exes Emma and Andrew Garfield coming. After posing for pictures on the red carpet with her La La Land costar, Emma made her way inside the venue and approached Andrew at his table. According to Us Weekly, the two chatted for a bit and were very happy to see each other. Andrew introduced her to everyone at his table and Emma was very friendly. Once the event was over, Andrew dropped by Emma's table and said goodbye before heading out. He even showed her a bracelet he was wearing and Emma seemed to approve.
Emma and Andrew officially ended their three-year relationship back in October 2015. Following their breakup, sources close to the pair said, "They still have a lot of love for one another and they are on good terms with each another and remain close. It just wasn't working." More recently, both stars attended the Critics' Choice Awards, and Andrew told The Hollywood Reporter that he would want to be stranded with Emma on a deserted island, adding, "I love Emma. She's all right. She can come." While the former couple's reunion could have been awkward, it appeared to be a good night for all involved.
Nicole Kidman's Dress Is Basically Defying Gravity Right Before Your Eyes, or So It Seems
If you were hiring Nicole Kidman based on her red carpet resume, the chameleon would probably throw you for a loop entirely. Who is she? A goddess? A rockstar? A a movie star? A sex kitten? She can pull practically anything off with her modelesque stature, and so she does. She wears a range of designers, looks that are ethereal and whimsical, then slick and body-hugging. But after all that, we were starting to get the hang of it, expecting her award season style to stick to favorites like Gucci and Dior.
That's when she threw us a curve ball: a tulle creation from Rochas at the AACTA Awards, a preamble for Sunday's Globes. It gets a hint of sweetness from a hint of pink and its fit-and-flare shape, but also a hefty dose of sexy thanks to a bra-like top that looks as if it's almost a separate piece entirely, with a strapless dress hitting right beneath it, and seemingly hanging within an inch of its life. So, if upon first glance, you thought Nicole was dangerously close to a wardrobe malfunction, you weren't alone. Read on to see the look in full, and breathe a sigh of relief knowing it's all just an illusion.
We Gave 2 Dogs a Cognition Test, and This Is What Happened
When we heard about a cognition test for dogs, we really had no idea what to expect. But Dr. Brian Hare, cofounder of Dognition and director of the Duke Canine Cognition Center, assured us that he had created this entire cognition test to learn more about your dog than you ever thought possible.
Dognition is an online tool with several tests to analyze all your dog's behaviors. They're fun little science-based games that, beyond telling you about your dog, allow for a bonding experience between the two of you. Because the test is fairly lengthy, it allows for that initial bonding experience, but then once you get the results, you'll be able to understand your dog so much better. "Sometimes dogs don't listen to a command and we don't know why," Hare said when he walked me through the process. "But not all dogs learn things the same way, so maybe that dog isn't understanding your command how you're giving it."
We had two dog owners in our office try this set of tests on their dogs to see what it was really like, and both of them said that above everything else, they enjoyed the time they spent with their dogs. Keep reading to see how the tests went for them, and then try Dognition for yourself for free, courtesy of Purina Pro Plan Bright Mind.

Here's How to Relieve Period-Related Back Pain
As if pimples, emotional outbursts, cramps, exhaustion, and feeling bloated aren't enough, the PMS demons have to throw uncomfortable back pain your way too.
Lower back pain during your period, or primary dysmenorrhea, is caused by contractions in the uterus. Every month your body builds up a thick uterine lining (called endometrium) in preparation for a fertilized egg. If you don't become pregnant, estrogen and progesterone levels drop and cue your body to break down and detach the lining, and it does that by contracting. If your uterus contracts too strongly, it can press on nearby blood vessels, cutting off the supply of oxygen to the nearby muscles, which is the reason pain occurs in the abdomen and radiates to the lower back and even to the thighs.
Chances are, if you've always had similar menstrual discomfort, it's nothing to worry about. But see a doctor if you're incapacitated for more than a few days a month or if you've noticed a sudden change in your symptoms. Meanwhile, you can ease the back pain with over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen, or try a warm bath or a heating pad. Avoiding foods that contain caffeine and salt can also help. And even though you have about as much energy as it takes to plop onto the couch, women who exercise regularly often experience less menstrual pain, so keep up with your routine by doing some light cardio or these cramp-relieving yoga poses.

You Won't Have to Look at Shay Mitchell's Swimsuit Long to Notice This Detail
Once the temperature dips below a certain degree, we get the urge to travel - preferably to a warm, sunny location, where we can rock a swimsuit instead of a puffed-up parka. Shay Mitchell is likely feeling the same, as the star 'grammed a throwback pic of herself in a Positino, Italy, shower, showing off white shades and a stylish green one-piece. The photo made us feel a tad emotional - oh, how we miss those beach-ready days! - but we still "oohed" and "ahhed" over Shay's sexy swimwear, which included fun cutout details on the back and side.
Yet while the weather (especially on the East Coast) isn't exactly appropriate for this type of get-up, the color choice couldn't be more perfect. Considering the recent holiday season, green pieces are a definite must, and Shay's little snap is a great reminder to start scooping 'em up. Scroll through to see Shay's suit once more, then shop something inspired by it - both for vacation and not - ahead.

This Is How Oprah Transforms Scrambled Eggs Into a "Sexy Breakfast"
Oprah Winfrey stopped by The Dr. Oz Show to share recipes from her new cookbook Food, Health, and Happiness, including what she calls her "sexy breakfast." "I don't even know if you want to call this a recipe," Oprah said of the breakfast, which is scrambled eggs with salsa. But the real secret is in the heat of the homemade salsa - "lots of jalapeños in there," Oprah said, explaining that the recipe comes from Eduardo, "one of the guys that helps me at my house." The other key to perfect scrambled eggs, according to Oprah? Temperature - always serve them hot. "The thing about anyone who is a real cook . . . don't you want people to come to the table when the food is hot?" she asked Dr. Oz.
In addition to her cookbook, published on Jan. 3, Oprah is celebrating her 42-pound weight loss since joining Weight Watchers in the Summer of 2015. Get a sneak peek of Oprah's appearance on The Dr. Oz Show, and allow her breakfast to inspire your next scrambled eggs recipe.

Katie Has Lost 220 Pounds So Far Without Calorie Counting or a Gym
After a weight-related medical scare, Katie Patterson's mother told her enough was enough and recommended a program called Take Shape For Life. At 409 pounds, she knew she had to do something to change her life, and her weight-loss journey began.
Katie: Before
POPSUGAR: What made you decide to start your weight-loss journey?
Katie Patterson: I had a wake-up call two years ago! I was visiting my parents' house with my husband and kids for Thanksgiving. That morning I was sleeping in a chair, sitting up, and stopped breathing from having sleep apnea. My parents woke me up and said, "that's enough, you have to change your life and you need to lose weight!" As the unplanned intervention unfolded, my mom then began to tell me about Take Shape For Life and how she had already lost 30 pounds since July. She told me how she felt so much better, so I agreed to do it, but I didn't know how I could afford to start the program when we were in the middle of a financial crisis. My mom wouldn't let it go, and I couldn't either, because she kept losing weight and feeling even better. Thank goodness, I eventually was able to start.
PS: What drew you to Take Shape For Life specifically?
KP: My mom inspired me with her story. Even though I had never heard of TSFL before, my mom insisted I do it.
"I would knock off items at the store with my stomach and people would stand there and look at me."
PS: What's your favorite way to work out?
KP: I don't work out at a gym, but I get 10,000 steps though my busy daily routine. My exercise of walking is always different and exciting with my kids, husband, and job.
Katie: After
PS: How much weight have you lost?
KP: As of today, I have lost 220 pounds and over 12 feet of fat all over my body! I'm still going! I want to be in the healthy range of the BMI chart.
Katie: Before
PS: What was the first big difference, other than the number on the scale, that really made you feel proud and excited?
KP: Wow! Where do I start? I went from dependent on my husband to take a shower, dress, cook dinner, and much of the care of our children, because my body was in so much pain all the time, I wasn't able to walk a half a mile to the bus stop to get my kids without being out of breath and sweating like crazy. I would knock off items at the store with my stomach and people would stand there and look at me as I attempted to bend over and pick up the items, or I would kick them under something to hide it so I wouldn't have the embarrassment of having to pick it up. I not only couldn't fit in my seat belt, I couldn't fit in our car! I had to always drive our large SUV. Even then, my stomach was tight against the steering wheel, causing rub burns. I fell asleep throughout my day from exhaustion, even while helping my kids with their homework.
So you ask what was the first big difference? Where do I start? I couldn't possibly limit it to one. But it started with the pain going away and the confidence growing.
"All you have to do is say yes to health and do your best."I am a mom again! I am a wife again! I am a friend again! I am so many things again that have been hidden for eight years. I am alive again, and I want to be the best me I can be as a healthy mom, wife, and friend.
PS: How do you track your weight loss?
KP: I track my weight loss by measuring myself every month and weighing myself daily. I write my measurements and weight in my food journal every month. For accountability, I talk with my health coach, Pam Carter, regularly and share with our support community.
PS: What's a typical day of meals and snacks?
KP: I am currently on the Take Shape For Life Optimal Weight 5 and 1 Plan TM. It consists of eating five healthy fuelings throughout the day ["fuelings" are snacks from the Optavia brand that Take Shape For Life offers as part of the program], along with one healthy meal of lean protein and low-carb vegetables that I make on my own. This has taught me how to prepare healthy meals with healthy portion sizes. I love that I don't need to count calories.
Katie: After
PS: What are the healthy staples that are always in your fridge?
KP: I don't go shopping for a full month of food anymore. I shop weekly, so I don't have a lot of food in my fridge. A majority of my food is provided through TSFL, while I'm doing the weight-loss phase of the program. Jalapeños, mushrooms, broccoli, and other salad fixings are my favorite vegetables. Chicken and occasional steak are my favorite lean proteins.
PS: How do you strategize for meals out?
KP: I connect with my health coach and my community of friends that might know what is a great healthy idea when I plan a meal out at a new place. I usually stick with salads with dressing on the side; it's usually the safest meal to choose when dining out.
"I am ALIVE again, and I want to be the best me I can be as a healthy mom, wife, and friend."
PS: Do you use a fitness tracker?
KP: I sometimes use an iPod fitness tracker, but now I am on a routine and know what my usual day-to-day steps are.
PS: What role did TSFL play in your success?
KP: Take Shape For Life, my health coach, Habits of Health home study, the healthy fuelings, and the TSFL community continue to provide me with the tools and support needed for long-term success. Before TSFL, I was so fearful, angry, scared, alone, in denial, and sick, yet longing for something more. Now I have a wonderful community of like-minded, fun, loving, supportive friendships, who are happy and uplifting, as we fellowship together on our shared health journeys. They are always there for me when I need support, when I struggle, and when I share and celebrate my scale and "NSV" (nonscale victories). TSFL will always hold a special place in my heart and a big, huge part in my health journey. I wouldn't be where I am today if I didn't have these new habits of health and the tools I use every day to get healthier and healthier as I get to my optimal well-being! Matter of fact, I decided to "pay it forward" and become a health coach because I want to make difference in other people's lives, like my coach has done in life.
PS: What advice do you have for anyone starting out on a weight-loss journey?
KP: This is the hardest journey I have ever been on, but the most rewarding! If you are thinking about starting your own health journey, stick to it. I tell myself every week, even every day, do your best today; it will pay off tomorrow. All you have to do is say yes to health and do your best. I've learned so much about healthy habits and about myself. My health coach reminds me regularly, when I am struggling, "You haven't come this far just to come this far. You can do it." She continues to have me ask myself, "What do you want to accomplish most and why?" and "What will your life look like when you get to your healthy BMI goal and beyond?"

Are You a Prada Lady or a Miu Miu Girl? The Answer's Right Here
When asked about the difference between her two lines, Prada and Miu Miu, Miuccia Prada once said:
"Designing for me is a very complex process. There are many ideas that I want to express in one object, very often contradictory. The creative process in Miu Miu is completely different from that of Prada. Rather than being young, Miu Miu is immediate. Prada is very sophisticated and considered; Miu Miu is much more naïve. The solution, when I am working on Miu Miu, has to come immediately, instinctively, spontaneously with whatever is available at the moment. If I think three times, I stop."
The designer was quoted in System Magazine two years ago, and when I read her explanation, I understood it immediately. But that's not the only reason I appreciate the distinction between the two labels. Aside from the fact that Miuccia Prada explains her art so clearly, she also executes, maintaining very specific aesthetics for each brand season after season. It's not only noticeable on the runway, where the Prada model is mature and equipped with all the essentials, and the Miu Miu girl is playful, her outfit a bit more carefree and thrown together as if to say, "why not?"
You can notice the difference between Miu Miu and Prada when it comes to ad campaigns, the It bags or shoes, and the front-row celebrity staples at Fashion Week. Read on to learn more about each label, and by the time you're studied up, you'll have arrived at the line that's truly right for you - are you a Prada lady or a Miu Miu girl at heart?

Who Will Take the Throne After Queen Elizabeth II?
Queen Elizabeth II is the United Kingdom's longest-reigning British monarch, but we can't help but wonder who will take on the crown after her. If she were to abdicate (give up the royal throne), retire, or pass away, her eldest son Prince Charles would become king - making him the oldest heir to accede to the British throne. Of course, he also has the option to immediately pass the crown on to his oldest son, Prince William, who is second in line to the throne, followed by William's two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Even though Elizabeth II recently celebrated her 90th birthday, it appears she isn't ready to give up her royal title quite yet. Sarah Bradford, the author of Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Our Times, revealed that she's never even contemplated abdication, adding, "The queen simply feels she must do her duty."
