Here's What Happens When You Quit Drinking

Our friends at YourTango gave up drinking, and this is what they learned.

It changed everything.

Since a young age, my mother has warned me of the dangers of alcohol. But, not in the same way that other parents might've, but in the weary way that you do when you know your child has been genetically cursed with the drinking gene on both her paternal and maternal side.

I've recently watched my father struggle with alcohol after decades of not drinking due to his father.

I spent my childhood watching my aunt battle her addiction with alcohol and drugs, and yet I went away to college and decided I could handle it. Although looking back, that was a lie. I went from being a sleepy drunk to a sloppy one. First, it was throwing up and then it was making an ass of myself while blacked out.

But, it wasn't until my past birthday that I decided to step back from inside the bottle after putting myself in one too many bad situations.

I've passed out in CVSes and Colombian clubs, woken up in a drunken stupor to find a $100 Uber bill and ran around hotel rooms ass naked.

But, the bottom line was when I couldn't remember having sex because I was so f*cked up. Despite being positive I was a willing participant, the only actual telling sight of sex was my achy vagina the next morning. After that, I decided it was time to put the bottle down for now before I was forced to do it later.

(The decision was further confirmed by a friend reminding me how I'd slipped into bed with her and her boyfriend, while still in the buck).

Truthfully, after nearly 100 days of consistent sobriety, I'm still trying to figure out if alcohol is something I could be able to enjoy leisurely since my problem was binge drinking as opposed to needing and wanting it every second of the day.

I knew how to have a glass of wine or just one beer when I was at home but when I turned up, it wasn't for play - it could actually be really scary.

The point is I'm still working out some of the details of this no-booze thing, but here's what I have discovered has happened since I stopped drinking.

1. I socialize less.

During the past couple of months, I've cut back on going out and not for the fear of being around booze but because I can't stand the pressure coming from so many directions. And, when I try to give a half-ass explanation simply stating it's to get healthy, I almost always end up just having to give an uncomfortable explanation of the previous actions that led to this decision (not in detail, of course).

2. But I socialize more.

Before you judge me for the contradiction, hear me out! Often times I would drink in social settings to get comfortable with a certain group of people or in a certain atmosphere. For instance, I only like dancing when I drink. So, I drink. But, without a boozy buffer, I've been forced to be social, strike up conversations, and bring the party on my own introverted merits. And while it's sometimes awkward at least I can recall the conversations now.

3. I lost weight.

It's no secret that alcohol isn't the best for your diet. You start to put on weight if you drink too much - and that was me. Mimosas (and screwdrivers) on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday - well - that's definitely not a recipe for weight loss. So, without it, I've fast-tracked the loss of my little pouch and said goodbye to my wine-induced FOPA.

4. I became more productive.

This one is really to the point. When you don't spend your days in bed mending your hangover just to prepare for another night of drinking, and thus another hangover you get sh*t done.

5. I saved money.

Drinks start to add up. I was drinking for brunch, joining monthly wine clubs, and still buying. I don't get paid enough for that madness.

6. I saved my life ... maybe.

With all the crazy stunts that I was pulling under the influence, it's really a lucky miracle that I wasn't kidnapped, assaulted, or worse.

My grandfather's life ended in a bottle and that's a fate I'm trying to spare myself from.

25 Times We Wanted The Rock to Babysit Our Kids

When we heard the news that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is expecting a baby, we were thrilled but not at all surprised. It's clear he's been prepping for his role as dad for awhile now. And his Instagram feed is proof. From too-cute videos of him secretly helping a little girl "pull an airplane" all by herself to sweet snaps of his pint-size fans, we'd long been wondering: what's his babysitting rate?

Seriously, this guy is a triple threat: he can wrestle and he can act, but he's a true natural when it comes to kids. From playing patty-cake between takes of an action scene to cleaning up after a lazy Santa Claus, he is the ultimate family man - one we hope won't mind us calling Papa Rock from here on out.

Although we've resigned ourselves to the fact that he won't likely start a career in babysitting (being a Hollywood heavyweight and a doting dad is a lot of work!), we hope he'll reconsider. Now, some adorably convincing reasons.

5 Reasons We're Freaking the Eff Out Over the Dragons Love Tacos Sequel

Hey, Mom! Did you know that dragons love tacos?

If you answered with an emphatic, "OBVIOUSLY," you are going to want to keep reading. (And if you don't know what on earth I'm talking about, YOU ARE MISSING OUT so keep reading, too.)

After five long years, the smoking-hot picture book Dragons Love Tacos is getting a sequel. That's right: there's more to the New York Times bestselling story about how to plan the ultimate taco party for dragon friends . . . while avoiding the spicy salsa, of course.

Here's what you need to know about Dragons Love Tacos 2: The Sequel (penned by Adam Rubin and illustrated by Daniel Salmieri) in advance of its release on May 2:

1. The premise is even more disastrous than the original.

Breaking news, according to the publisher: "It has just been discovered that there are no more tacos left anywhere in the world. This is a huge problem because, as you know, dragons love tacos." Oh, we know.

2. There's time travel.

Apparently, these legendary beasts figure out a way to travel back in time to before tacos went extinct in the hopes of grabbing lots of tacos (pantloads of tacos, perhaps?) to bring back to present day.

3. Spicy salsa returns to give dragons the tummy troubles (and you know what happens when dragons get the tummy troubles).

We aren't sure as of yet how salsa made with spicy jalapeño peppers will affect our protagonists in this installment, but if it's anything like last time, when the party-hosting kid didn't read the fine print on his jar of "totally mild salsa," these dragons will puff smoke from their ears, snort sparks from their noses, and breathe fire on your house.

4. Dragons love . . . diapers?!

Advance readings of the book reveal a bit of a twist (spoiler alert) involving their time-machine device. Because it's difficult to calibrate, the do-gooding dragons venture to a host of alternate realities - including a universe in which dragons love diapers ("that's not right") and one in which tacos chow down on dragons ("weird, but closer!"). It even mistakenly sends them back to the scene of the fateful taco party we all know and love. Parents, keep your eyes peeled: on some of these journeys through space and time, some recognizable historical figures make appearances.

5. It'll read just like the comforting sound of a good friend's laughter.

The zany companion to Dragons Love Tacos promises to be as gut-bustlingly ridiculous and yes-I'll-gladly-read-it-again-and-again entertaining as the first. And full of tacos. Beef tacos and chicken tacos, and really big gigantic tacos and . . . you get the idea.

Taco drop.

Full House Star Lori Loughlin's $35M Home Will Take Your Breath Away

If Lori Loughlin's Holmby Hills, CA, home looks like it's straight out of the pages of a design magazine, that's because it is. Trulia reports that the Full House star just listed the breathtaking six-bedroom, nine-bath estate that was featured in Elle Decor last year for a whopping $35 million. But one look inside, and it's easy to see how the property can command such a high price.

Lori and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli (he founded and later sold the eponymous Target brand), have a penchant for flipping houses. They've been busy artfully renovating the mansion down to the last painstaking detail since purchasing it for a mere $14 million two years ago.

The sprawling, light-filled home is now equipped with every state-of-the-art update and luxury material imaginable. The master suite has dreamy his and her closets and bathrooms, while the outdoor space includes not just the usual pool and spa combo but also several patios for entertaining and an open-air bar with a massive, mirror-covered island - we've never seen anything like it! For staying in shape, there's a gym, and for staying pampered, there's a private staff room.

We love the Tanners' San Francisco Victorian, but it's hard to deny that this mansion is quite an upgrade. Check it out for yourself ahead.

Ed Sheeran's Musical Game of Thrones Cameo Is Already Our Most Anticipated Season 7 Moment

We have lots of information about Game of Thrones season seven, but perhaps the most exciting news of all came when we learned that Ed Sheeran would guest star on an upcoming episode. Yes, that Ed Sheeran; the Ed Sheeran who broke your heart with "Supermarket Flowers" and may or may not have hit Justin Bieber in the face. So . . . who will he play? That's complicated. Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss love tossing musicians into the show, but they usually only get bit parts. Members of Sigur Rós, Mastodon, and Coldplay have all popped up, but their appearances are less than memorable. This led us to believe that Sheeran will be little more than a background actor . . . until Sheeran mentioned during an interview that he sings to Arya in his scene. Seeing as Maisie Williams is a huge fan, we're already excited for her. He talks about his part in the video below.

Why Is Trump's Embrace of the Philippines President Problematic?

Trump's election was symptomatic of an international trend toward populism and antiestablishment leadership. Rodrigo Duterte, who was elected President of the Philippines a few months before Trump, is not exactly a benevolent dealmaker. When Trump invited Duterte to visit the White House on April 30, during a "very friendly conversation," both Republicans and Democrats expressed their concern - and for good reason.

Duterte ran his campaign promising to eradicate crime and target drug users as well as dealers. Since ascending to power, Duterte instigated what has come to be described as "death squads" or extrajudicial crime-fighters who have slaughtered more than 7,000 drug users and distributors across the country. Perhaps more troubling is Duterte's defense of the killings. In a September speech after he secured the presidency, Duterte expressed a troubling comparison between the Holocaust and his war on drugs.

"Hitler massacred 3 million Jews. Now there is 3 million, what is it, 3 million drug addicts (in the Philippines)," Duterte said. "I'd be happy to slaughter them. At least if Germany had Hitler, the Philippines would have (me)."

Duterte's praise of Hitler is sadly not the first time he has disturbed human rights activists. During his campaign, Duterte proudly admitted to killing addicts when he was mayor of Davao City. "(I'd) go around Davao with a motorcycle, with big bike around and I would just patrol the streets and looking for trouble also," said Duterte. "I was really looking for an encounter so I could kill."

If you haven't guessed it yet, Duterte is definitely not a leader the United States wants to align itself with. But that didn't seem to concern Trump who also, according to Duterte's spokesman, expressed understanding about the Philippines' drug problems.

Republicans, Democrats, and even members of Trump's own administration have criticized the president's embrace of Duterte. Though Trump's affinity for Duterte is unsurprising given their similar inflammatory dispositions, Trump's tacit approval of crimes against humanity is troubling.

John Sifton, who heads Human Rights Watch's East Asia division, told The New York Times that Trump should be ashamed. "By essentially endorsing Duterte's murderous war on drugs, Trump is now morally complicit in future killings," said Sifton.

It doesn't seem that Duterte will be visiting the White House anytime soon, however. The Philippines leader said he might be too busy to accept Trump's invitation. "I am tied up. I cannot make any definite promise," Duterte told reporters on May 1. "I am supposed to go to Russia, I am supposed to go to Israel."

23 Beloved Shows That Are Ending in 2017

While it would be lovely if all our favorite shows lasted until the end of time (just kidding, remember the last season of Lost?), all good things must come to an end. In this case, some of our favorite TV shows are already scheduled to finish up in 2017. Not quite canceled but not quite renewed, these shows were given a gift from the network gods: a forewarning of their inevitable demise. So that you can plan out your emotions accordingly, here's a list of the shows that we know are airing their final episode in 2017. This 13 Reasons Why Theory About Tony Is Total BS

Warning: spoilers below.

There's a certain theory that's been making the rounds since 13 Reasons Why debuted at the end of March - no, not the one about Tyler and Alex. This one involves Tony, your favorite greaser. While he's positioned to be Clay's metaphorical guardian angel in the series, some people think that his angel status is literal, claiming that he could be a ghost.

I get it; he drives a cool, old car, dresses like he's from the '50s, and generally seems like a character out of My So-Called Life's Halloween flashback episode, but that doesn't mean that he's a ghost. In fact, this theory occurred to me early on but then was immediately disproved by the fact that Tony interacts with a number of people besides Clay. He talks to Clay's parents, as well as Hannah's parents. He takes the physical action to hand Hannah's parents a copy of the tapes in the final episode. He has a number of scenes with his boyfriend, who is maybe, probably, definitely, not a ghost.

Tony is not a guardian angel. He's not dead, and he's not a figment of Clay's imagination. Can we just agree to toss out this theory now?

This Mom Got Everything She'd Dreamed of When Her Boy With Autism Met His New Dog

For nearly two years, Shanna Niehaus has waited for the day that her little boy with autism could meet his new service dog, Tornado. Although her 5-year-old son struggles with social interactions and making friends, he and Tornado instantly connected the moment they were finally together for the first time.

Shanna shared a photo of the incredible moment on the Love What Matters Facebook page with an explanation for why she is seen crying on the floor watching her boy and his dog together.

This picture captures the face of a mother who saw her child, who she can't hug, wash, dress, snuggle and touch freely lay on his new service dog of his own free will, with a purposeful, unspoken attachment. This is the face of a mom who has seen her son experience countless failed social interactions on the playground in an attempt to have a friend. Any friend. Any kind of connection. She has sat with her son while he has cried at night for months because he has no consistent connections outside of the family no matter how hard he tries and no matter what he works hard on in his Autism therapies. It doesn't transfer to the natural occurring world for him. And now she is sitting behind her son silently watching this moment, with the air sucked from her lungs, and no words to say.

It's worth every fight for services for my son, every diagnosis, every new provider, every dollar spent, every paper filled out, every school meeting, every shed tear, every step forward, every step back, and every wonder of the unknown future. Somehow because of this - because of Tornado - I know everything will be okay. As a mother, I have seen countless challenging and painful moments my son has encountered and cried countless more. Yesterday however, I cried for a different reason. It is a feeling that is indescribable.

Don't Let Rihanna's Dress Distract You From Her Insanely Magical Highlight

Our first thought when Rihanna stepped out at the 2017 Met Gala: wow, that woman knows how to dress for a Comme des Garcons theme. But once we zoomed in a little closer, our thoughts escalated to: holy sh*t, forget about her dress, Rihanna's makeup absolutely won the red carpet. At one of the most famous fashion events of the year, Rihanna managed to turn us into the heart-eye emoji from the second we saw her glowing eye-shadow-turned-highlight look.

She proved that eye shadow absolutely does not have to stop at your eyes and that there's no such thing as too much highlighter. If you find us with metallic pink highlighter all over our faces tomorrow, just know that it was Rihanna-inspired and she's as magical as it gets. Keep reading to see photos of RiRi's glowing red carpet look.

From "Skinny-Fat to Fit," This Before-and-After Proves Weight Is Just a Number

Wanted to Celebrate. Skinny-fat to Fit.

Everyone's path to being "healthy" is different. Some choose to slash calories and hit the treadmill every day with the ultimate goal of losing weight, but one girl is sharing her definition of the term, and we couldn't agree more with it.

Now-viral Imgur user TheLaughingFool recently shared the above post on the platform to celebrate how far she's come on her fitness journey from "skinny-fat to fit." In the before-and-after photo's caption, she described how although "it's not a huge difference," she's still proud of her progress. "I went from simple calorie restriction to doing both cardio and strength-training. This body took a lot of purposeful work and it is so much stronger and more capable than my previous one," she wrote.

We love how her post has nothing to do with the numbers on a scale or extreme dieting and everything to do with being healthy and fit on her own terms. Keep it up, girl!

No Mom Would Be Mad About the Tattoo This Girl Gets in Touching New Ad

If you found out your daughter was at a tattoo parlor, there's a good chance you'd be upset. Well, leave it to card maker American Greetings to turn that idea on its head in a touching new commercial for Mother's Day.

In the minute-long ad, a girl gets her very first tattoo, smack dab on her wrist, and when we finally see what it is, it's "Keep Shining" written in handwriting. The girl pulls out a greeting card, signed by her mom, that includes that exact phrase in that exact style.

"I think she would have liked it," the girl says.

And in that moment, it's clear that this wasn't a stereotypical act of teenage rebellion but a touching tribute - proof that one everyday card from a mother to her daughter can leave an impression that lasts forever.

Lupita Nyong'o Proves the More Color the Better With Her Rainbow Eye Shadow

Lupita Nyong'o may have opted for an off-the-shoulder orange gown at the 2017 Met Gala, but no color was off limits for her eye shadow. The stunning actress got ready with Lancome and makeup artist Nick Barose, where he turned her eyes into an actual watercolor painting. Nick told POPSUGAR he used Lancome Color Design Eye Shadows in Miss Sweetheart D, A Touch of Coral, All That Shimmers, and Exhibition. He said that he "smudged a variety of shades and textures to create a dramatic look in touches of bold fuchsia, purple, blue, peach, and yellow."

With Lupita in such a bright, floral-colored gown, Nick said that he "wanted to play on the dress's embellishments without making the makeup too delicate or ladylike. There's a certain roughness and spontaneity to the bold color strokes, so I created smudges on the eyes using many different colors, while keeping the rest of the face polished to balance out the look."

Keep reading to see stunning photos of Lupita's magical rainbow eye shadow.

Jeffree Star on Too Faced Controversy: "Get Ready For a Blood Bath"

Beauty fans are feeling compelled to choose sides after Jeffree Star went on a major rant against Too Faced cofounder Jerrod Blandino earlier this Spring. Star called out Blandino for allegedly shading Tarte with a now-deleted Instagram post that was captioned #ThereArentUnicornsInTheAmazon, a supposed dig against the brand's Amazonian clay collection and unicorn-inspired range of products. (You can catch up on all that controversy here.)

However, that one Instagram has spawned a great deal of trouble, resurrecting drama from late 2016. Star had hinted at some shady business between his former friend and fellow influencer Nikkie Tutorials and Too Faced but had stopped himself before saying too much. Now, more details about the Nikkie Tutorials and Too Faced collab have surfaced.

Some may recall that many were disappointed by the quality of the shadow palette in her collection with Too Faced, but Nikkie never addressed this issue, which may have been due to nondisclosure agreements. YouTuber Sanders Kennedy revealed that Nikkie was allegedly paid $50,000 for the partnership - and restricted from teaming up with any other brands or sponsors during this time - but her products yielded almost $9 million in sales. Star pointed this out in tweets.

Another interesting layer of this controversy is that Nikkie and Star aren't friends anymore. In an exclusive comment to Here For the Tea, Star said, "Her and I are no longer friends. You can confirm that. But I still respect her hustle and I watched first hand how they abused her and know how much she got paid. It's embarrassing. I think anyone else BUT me would be afraid to mention the contract. I did it to make a statement and so the audience has a taste as to WHY the palette was so sh*tty. She approved something and what was produced was not the same quality."

It is not confirmed as to why the two no longer speak. But Star's decisions to stand up for her means he may be facing legal action for his remarks. He alludes to this in his tweets, below.

It's hard to infer from these cryptic tweets, but remember: Too Faced was acquired by Estée Lauder in November 2016. Could Estée Lauder be the huge corporation Star is referring to? Star will not be stopped, though, as he went on to share that a Too Faced employee leaked the Nikkie Tutorials contract to him.

The Too Faced/Jeffree Star drama got even more complicated when Blandino's sister Lisa got involved. Star exposed this in a series of tweets, sharing that she bashed his customers.

While Blandino has not remarked on his sister's actions, a quick visit to his Instagram reveals that comments have been disabled for many of his posts. Other posts are filled with commenters sharing their displeasure with the Too Faced cofounder, swearing off the brand and leaving snake emoji in their wake. POPSUGAR has reached out to Jeffree Star, Jerrod Blandino, and Nikkie Tutorials for comment. Stay tuned for more updates on this controversy as they become available.

Celebs Reveal Their Favorite Outfits Growing Up on the Met Gala Red Carpet

Proof that Mindy Kaling and Sofia Richie have always been stylish.

You Haven't Seen Sexy Until These Met Gala Stars Turn Around

The Met Gala red carpet didn't have a 360-degree mirror, but that didn't stop celebrities from showing off their outfits from all angles. In fact, stars such as Gisele Bündchen and Kendall Jenner turned their backs to the cameras to give a better view of their gowns. We're thankful photographers were on hand to capture these ephemeral moments, because nothing beats seeing the long train of a dress on the Met Gala steps or admiring the crisscross details on a Ralph Lauren gown. Ahead, we rounded up the best snaps from behind you might have missed.

Kendall Jenner Shows Off Her Buns of Steel at the Met Gala

Kendall Jenner left very little to the imagination when she hit the red carpet at the Met Gala in NYC on Monday. The stunning supermodel rocked a barely there gown on the red carpet that showed off her amazing body, including her entire butt. The internet was quick to respond to her outfit and rightfully came through with a handful of hilarious tweets.

While Kendall didn't pose with sisters Kylie or Kim on the red carpet, we have a feeling her night was still pretty epic. Not only did she have her family to mingle with once inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art, but her best friends Bella and Gigi Hadid were also in attendance.

Selena Gomez, Gisele Bündchen, and J Lo - See What Your Favorite Celebs Wore at the Met Gala

5 Weight-Loss Tips From BBG Success Stories

The Bikini Body Guide by Kayla Itsines has yielded some of the most incredible total-body weight loss transformations we've ever seen. We've had the chance to talk with many of the women who've inspired us with said transformations, and pick up on some of the best weight-loss tips they've taken away from BBG - these are their top five.

Have a Support System

"I definitely think the BBG community had to do a lot with my success in my weight-loss journey," said Julie Ana Kim, who has gone from a size 26 to a size 14 with the BBG program. "The community has always been so supportive and encouraging when I feel scared to try something new. I only tried SoulCycle because another member of the BBG community encouraged me to try it. Every time I wanted to give up or felt bad about eating unhealthy, the community would have my back and encourage me to keep going."

A woman named Brooke, who lost over 100 pounds with the help of BBG, agreed that the community was what helped carry her through this journey. "It's empowering to be vulnerable about our flaws, share our goals, and cheer each other on."

Kayla herself credits the community as an excellent way to stay on top of your weight-loss goals, and told POPSUGAR that if anyone is feeling stalled, they should join the community for motivation, support, and advice.

Remember Small Changes Add Up . . . Quickly

Celebrate little victories. Even baby steps can be major feats in a weight-loss journey! And keep in mind that positive additions to your lifestyle will help push away any habits you've deemed negative or unhealthy.

"It's much easier to create a new positive habit than to break a negative habit," said Brooke. "One positive choice can have a snowball or ripple effect, leading to healthier, better choices overall."

Julie Ana mentioned how over time, the effects of the workouts added up, and she would blow people away in group fitness classes with her ability to do burpees and sit-ups. Keep it up with the small changes - over time, they will yield unbelievable results. You'll surprise yourself!

Hold Yourself Accountable

While the community will be there for you, it's still important to hold yourself accountable during the BBG program; the way that most women in the BBG community do this is with BBG Instagram accounts and constant posts and logging (think of it like a digital diary). We love seeing these updates on accounts - check out Marisa, Amina, and Sam to get inspired on ways to keep yourself accountable throughout your own weight-loss journey.

Find a Workout You Can Do Anywhere, Anytime

One of everyone's favorite parts of BBG workouts is that they're only 28 minutes, and many of them are equipment-free. Blogger Amber Fillerup Clark uses these workouts while traveling, and blogger Kelsey Wells says that despite being a busy mom, she saw her amazing results from no other workout or workout program than BBG.

Women who love BBG love that it eliminates excuses. If the gym is too hard to get to, BBG can be done at home. Not enough time? BBG is only 28 minutes. Traveling? You can use your BBG app (Sweat) or PDF from your phone.

Accept Your Slip-Ups and Recover Quickly

BBG girl Whitnee mentioned to POPSUGAR that she appreciated how Kayla is "human" and vocal about her struggles with PMS, fatigue, and failure just like anyone else. What can hinder a successful weight-loss journey is the idea that you need to be achieving perfection, or setting the bar too high. Everyone has off days, misses workouts, and eats pizza now and then - the key is to not be hard on yourself. This is another reason why Kayla shies away from damaging language like "cheat day."

The speed at which you bounce back is the important part. Give yourself the grace and kindness you'd give to a friend you were supporting, but immediately get back on track. Accept it, don't berate yourself, and move on with a clean slate. The more you dwell, the more you'll get - and stay - off track.

The Obamas Traded the White House For This $5.3M Mansion

When their presidential term comes to end, most first families are eager to return to a life of anonymity far away from Washington DC - but the Obamas aren't most first families. Their younger daughter, Sasha, has a couple years of school left. With this in mind, Politico has revealed that the Obamas are staying put in DC, at least until Sasha graduates.

They've traded the White House for a luxurious brick mansion in the upscale DC neighborhood of Kalorama, just two miles away. This makes President Obama the first president to stay in DC after his term since Woodrow Wilson in 1921. Kalorama is home to many embassies and ambassadors' residences, so it already has the security its new residents need.

The Obamas are reportedly renting the nine-bedroom, eight-and-a-half-bathroom estate from former Clinton administration Press Secretary Joe Lockart and wife Giovanna Gray, who paid $5.3 million for it in 2014. The sprawling 8,200-square-foot home was built in 1928, and its traditional bones have been tastefully updated with modern fixtures and decor.

Look through the pictures below to see the luxurious amenities the former first family is enjoying now that they've left office.

100-Calorie Sweet Treats to Satisfy PMS Cravings

If you crave decadent desserts whenever you're on your period, here are some sweet, low-calorie options made for indulging.

Bella Hadid Slipped Into a Sexy Little Nothing of a Dress For the Met Gala Afterparty

When you show up to the Met Gala in a see-through, backless jumpsuit, is there the option of choosing a sexier outfit for the afterparty? You'd think no, but Bella Hadid proved there are tinier swathes of fabric to step out in. She joined the Alexander Wang squad, including Zoë Kravitz and Behati Prinsloo, on the party bus post-ball, dressed in a glittering mesh mini.

Bella ditched a bra and opted for two strips of boob tape, putting her high-waisted briefs on display down below. And just when you thought the end to her sheer was near, Bella finished her look with lucite heels - almost invisible, if it weren't for Wang's signature studs at the base. Scroll to see Bella's stunning, sexy-as-hell transformation throughout the night.

Put Your Best Foot Forward This Summer With These 7 Shoe Trends

Every Summer, I find myself looking for a new pair of shoes that feel both fresh and on trend. I've learned that flip-flops are solely reserved for the beach, and as much as I'd like to be one of those girls who can wear heels every day, they are impractical and almost always leave me with painful blisters.

We've already covered the most comfortable Summer sandals of the year, and now, we're listing the best shoes of the season. From tie-up ballet flats (we see you, Miu Miu) to mules (don't worry, there's more than just the Gucci Princetowns), here are the best shoes of the Summer.

We Couldn't Help But Wonder: Why the Hell Wasn't Sarah Jessica Parker at the Met Gala?

A lot of fashion-forward celebrities showed up to the Met Gala in NYC on Monday night, but one very important figure was missing from the fun: Sarah Jessica Parker. This is a huge deal. We've grown accustomed to seeing SJP at the big event every year, because let's be real: she is New York City fashion. There isn't an art exhibit, Broadway play opening, or ballet fundraiser where she doesn't at least pop up inside, so we - and many other Met Gala followers - are pretty bummed that she didn't attend.

Why wasn't she there? Is she sick? Tired? Busy filming Sex and the City 3? Is it because that woman tried to come for her Hamilton-inspired look last year?! The only clue we had about her whereabouts is a cryptic Instagram video she shared on Monday morning while making coffee, and it wasn't much to go on. And before you ask, YES, we also checked her BFF Andy Cohen's Twitter feed, and there was nothing there either. People did report on Tuesday that SJP decided to skip the Met Gala to "stay and work on her HBO series Divorce" instead. We understand having work commitments, but it doesn't make us any less upset.

There's a War Raging on Twitter Right Now Over Dear White People

While a large portion of critics and audiences are praising Dear White People as a work of genius (it currently has 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes), some Twitter users are not as pleased. Season one of the show, a continuation of the 2014 film of the same name, has been up on Netflix since April 28. Starring Logan Browning, the series takes place on the fictional Winchester University's campus and tackles a number of social and political issues. Here's a quick rundown of the Twitter controversy that's been kicked up recently.

These Photos From a "Mexican-Themed" Frat Party Will Make Your Blood Boil

A party scene from the film Project X

When it comes to themed parties, there is a fine line between dressing up and appropriating a certain culture - but one fraternity at Baylor University unquestionably crossed that line, and several others, when they threw a "Mexican-themed" party. Members of the Kappa Sigma frat threw a party where attendees not only dressed in sombreros and ponchos, but dressed as construction workers and maids, and some even showed up wearing brown face paint.

Following this horrifying "Cinco de Drinko" party, students at the Texas school responded by protesting on campus and expressing their outrage on social media at the racist display, seen below.

Dr. Kevin Jackson, the vice president for student life at Baylor University, issued a statement about the party. "The reported behavior is deeply concerning and does not in any way reflect Baylor's institutional values. University officials are presently investigating the incident and gathering additional information . . . We do not tolerate racism of any kind on our campus," he wrote.

The school has followed up explaining that the Kappa Sigma chapter has been suspended "pending the completion of a formal inquiry involving the organization and a culturally insensitive event that took place off-campus." The University's representative explained that the fraternity's national organization supported these actions.

This is not the first time a fraternity has been under fire for promoting culturally insensitive themed parties, and it's something that needs to stop. In 2014, University of California at Davis students dressed as Mexican border agents to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. With so many stories about offensive themed parties, why do students continue to do this?

Alex Rodriguez Proves He's Jennifer Lopez's Biggest Fan With This Met Gala Moment

In case you needed further proof that Alex Rodriguez is totally smitten with new girlfriend Jennifer Lopez, here it is. Photographers caught ARod taking photos of his leading lady on the red carpet at the Met Gala. We don't blame him, because Jennifer looked gorgeous in a duck-egg-blue Valentino dress.

On his Instagram, Alex said: "Admiring Jennifer doing her thing on the carpet at the #MetGala2017." Smitten, we tell you!

The couple made their official red carpet debut at the prestigious event and took everyone's breath away. Keep scrolling to see Alex take it all in while snapping some sneaky shots of J Lo.
