GLOW: Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling Was Real, and It Was Spectacular
Netflix dropped the first season of a new dramedy in 2017 called GLOW, which stands for the "gorgeous ladies of wrestling." Both season one and this year's second installment tells the story of struggling actress Ruth (Alison Brie) auditioning for a mid-1980s all-female answer to Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Federation shows, and hoping for wrestling stardom - but was it a real TV program?
The answer is yes, it was. The original Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling ran in syndication from 1986 to 1990, notching 104 episodes in the original run. There was also an attempt to revive the show in 2001, but it ultimately failed to get off the ground.
With the Netflix series, all the characters being portrayed are fictional, though a few do bear some resemblance to the original cast. There's a wrestler named Emily Dole who went by the moniker "Mt. Fiji" who bears a passing resemblance to Machu Picchu (Britney Young); there was a wrestler/trainer named Cynthia Peretti, who wrestled under the names Princess Jasmine and Pepper, whose likely counterpart on the show is Cherry (Sydelle Noel); and there was a wrestler named Lori Palmer who competed as Colonel Ninotchka, which is similar to Ruth's (Brie) in-ring Russian persona.
In addition to the mostly unknown women who were cast as the wrestlers, there were a few famous faces involved in Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. Sylvester Stallone's mom, Jackie, played the owner of GLOW and manager of the Good Girls team. She brought her grandson, Sly's son Sage, to a few tapings, where he made a guest appearance on the show.
Mariska Hargitay's half-brother Tony Cimber also appeared on the show as Nature Boy, led around the ring by a female wrestler called Jungle Woman. Cimber is the son of actress Jayne Mansfield (who is also Hargitay's mother) and GLOW director Matt Cimber, who may be the inspiration for director Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron) in the Netflix series.
Prior to being cast in Netflix's GLOW, Brie says she had never really watched wrestling before, but she familiarized herself with it after signing on to the show. "It's wild to go back and watch wrestling from the '80s and watch what an American sport it was, and how all the villains are foreign and all the heroes are American," she told A.V. Club. "And there are some really dark wrestling matches that happened even in the '70s and the early '80s that are almost kind of scary to watch."
She's definitely aware of Colonel Ninotchka, her original GLOW counterpart.
"I enjoyed watching Colonel Ninotchka's videos to get a handle on her accent, which is much more Boris and Natasha than it is Eastern Promises," said Brie. "As we were getting toward shooting our finale, I would go back and watch some of her matches just to look for inspiration in terms of moves. It was like, what moves can I steal?"
"Then when we first started shooting the show, I took a step away from it because all of our characters are fictional and I didn't want to read into who these women were. Because we're not playing them. Ruth has a storyline unto herself, and I wanted to create the character from within. Towards the end of the season I was like, 'Ooh, I've got to go back and watch.'"
Writers Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch add that they actually got hooked on old episodes of GLOW after seeing a documentary about the series and that's where the idea of the Netflix show started.
"We had never heard of GLOW, we had never watched it in the '80s, we had never watched wrestling," Flahive told Variety in 2017. "We were so moved by the way that these women were talking about how this crazy experience transformed them and changed their lives, how it took them down these paths they would have never have walked down if not for this totally weird opportunity that they all came together."
"There was something about seeing how they used their bodies in this way that was really exciting to us," added Mensch, "and I think we both have a history of writing for strong but flawed, weird women."
GLOW is definitely full of flawed, weird women - in the best way. The entire first season is available now on Netflix, and season two drops on June 29.

Bella Hadid Denies That Drake's "Finesse" Is About Her: "That's Disrespectful"
Regardless of whether or not Drake and Bella Hadid ever actually dated, the 21-year-old supermodel is setting the record straight about one thing: Drake's new song is not about her.
On Friday, the Canadian rapper dropped a two-sided album, Scorpion, that boasts 25 songs and lasts an hour and 29 minutes, but it was the track "Finesse," in particular, that captured the attention of fans. In the song, Drake alludes to a relationship with a woman who has a lot in common with Hadid, from her career ("Fashion Week is more your thing than mine") to her sister and fellow model, Gigi ("You and your sister / Too hot to handle").
Despite the similarities, Hadid hopped on Twitter to make it clear that the woman Drake raps about is not her, with the help of a few angry emoji. "Not me!!!" she wrote after someone insinuated Drake had "banged" her. "That's disrespectful. WHY CANT PPL BE FRIENDS W/o all the insinuation."
Not me!!!🤷🏻♀️that's disrespectful. WHY CANT PPL BE FRIENDS W/o all the insinuation 🤭🧐😩🤬
- Bella Hadid (@bellahadid) June 29, 2018
The 31-year-old rapper has rarely been photographed with Hadid, but he sparked dating rumors in October 2017 after paying for and hosting her 21st birthday. Most recently, Hadid has been spotted getting cozy with her ex-boyfriend, The Weeknd, so it doesn't seem a relationship with Drake - who just confirmed he's a father - is on the table.

Meghan Markle Looks Positively Radiant While Supporting Prince Harry at a Polo Match
Prince William and Prince Harry took advantage of a sunny day at Coworth Park Polo Club in Ascot, England, on Saturday for an Audi-sponsored charity polo match. The exciting event ended up being a star-studded affair, attracting the likes of Tom Holland, Serena Williams and husband Alexis Ohanian, and, of course, Duchess Meghan Markle herself.
While Harry and William - the latter of whom just returned from a history-making trip to Jerusalem - hit the pitch, Meghan walked around talking with attendees, and was seen kneeling down to chat with an adorable little girl. For the Berkshire event, the newlywed chose to wear a 3/4-length gingham sundress, Sarah Flint Grear Sandals, sunglasses, and a Panama hat, confirming that she's got that whole royal style thing (and etiquette!) down pat.

Somebody Realized This Game of Thrones Connection to Kit Harington's Wedding and Now I'm Crying
The following contains spoilers for Game of Thrones.
We already had plenty of feelings about Game of Thrones star Kit Harington's June 23 wedding to Rose Leslie and an even stronger reaction to former costar Richard Madden's kilt-clad appearance at the nuptials. Aside from the fact that they both looked incredible and seemed beamingly happy at the wedding, it was heartwarming to know that the former onscreen brothers remain close. But then, somebody took the joy we felt and turned it into a bittersweet feeling - and yes, we cried a little bit.
In a tweet on the wedding day, one fan pointed out an emotional connection between the men's Game of Thrones goodbye and their reunion at the wedding.
When bidding Jon Snow farewell as he departs for the Night's Watch, Robb Stark tells him, "Next time I see you, you'll be all in black." Jon cheekily replies, "It's always been my color," and the brothers share an embrace before parting ways.
As GOT fans are painfully aware, Robb Stark and Jon Snow never get to have a reunion, wearing black or otherwise - the eldest Stark child is brutally massacred during season three's infamous Red Wedding alongside his mom, new wife, and unborn child.
"Next time I see you, you'll be all in black."
But at the wedding, where Harington wore a black morning suit to say "I do" to his now-wife, their parting words almost came true! Unlike his Night's Watch blacks, Harington's wedding suit also featured a forest green tie, cream vest, and gray striped slacks . . . but then again, Jon Snow's watch has ended.
While Robb and Jon may never reunite in the show or discover that they're not actually brothers at all, it's at least a bit heartwarming to know that Harington and Madden will have a "next time" to see one another. So let's rewrite their parting words, shall we? "Next time I see you, you'll be wearing a wedding band."
Awww! The sound of that is MUCH better.

After Amazon Studios released the first two teasers from the upcoming film Beautiful Boy, we finally have the first official trailer. In the two-minute video, we get a brief glimpse of Chalamet's transformation from a lighthearted, suburban big brother enjoying Wednesday night family dinners, to a young adult battling a gruesome methamphetamine addiction. The movie, which is set to release Oct. 12, is based on David Sheff's gut-wrenching memoir about his son Nic's spiraling addiction and the heartbreaking impact it had on every person around him (Steve Carell will be playing Nic's father). Beautiful Boy is a far cry from Chalamet's sweeping Italian romance in last year's hit Call Me by Your Name, and it will shake you to your core.

John Legend Debuts Gorgeous New Song at Families Belong Together Rally - Watch the Video
For many, paying attention to the news cycle is a brutal, stressful, but wholly unavoidable part of living under an administration dedicated to ripping away the rights - and the families - of people in America. How do you balance feeling overwhelmed by the constant horrific news with wanting to help? While performing at LA's Families Belong Together rally on Saturday, John Legend debuted a gorgeous new song about exactly that.
"This is a song I wrote called 'Preach,'" he told the crowd, who was also treated to a passionate, fiery speech from Legend's wife, Chrissy Teigen, earlier in the day. In "Preach," the Oscar award-winner sings about wanting to "turn off the phone just to get out of bed" but also acknowledging that he "can't just preach, baby, preach."
Watch his moving performance of the new track above, and then check out all the ways you can help hold our lawmakers accountable, donate money to organizations that support migrant families, and raise your voice against the Trump administration's rampant human rights abuse.

Greta Gerwig's Little Women Remake Is Already Shaping Up to Have the Best Cast
Greta Gerwig is picking up steam on her next project, which will see her dusting off a true classic: the Oscar nominee has signed on to direct a new adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women.
If you missed it in high school English, Little Women follows four sisters - Amy, Jo, Beth, and Meg - who live with their mother in Massachusetts during the Civil War era. Their father is away, working as a chaplain in the war, and the family learns to lean on one another while spending their first holiday without him. The novel has been adapted for film six times, as well as having inspired TV musicals, plays, and even operas.
Gerwig was originally on board to write the movie but has since taken over as director, with a pretty impressive cast reportedly in talks (*cough* MERYL! *cough*). Keep reading to see who might be playing the beloved characters in Gerwig's Little Women.
Sparks Fly Between Rose Byrne and Ethan Hawke in the Juliet, Naked Trailer
At long last, it seems Hollywood has finally taken the notion that the world wants more romantic comedies to heart. The latest film entering the fray is Juliet, Naked, the adaptation of Nick Hornby's 2009 novel, and the first trailer looks just as sweet as expected. It stars Rose Byrne as a woman who is fed up with her longtime boyfriend (Chris O'Dowd) and happens to be obsessed with mysterious American rock star Tucker Crowe (Ethan Hawke). When she ends up having a chance online encounter with the musician, their ensuing pen pal relationship leads to . . . well, I won't spoil it for you. Check out the trailer above before it hits theaters this August.
This 39-Year-Old Mom Sounded JUST Like Whitney Houston on America's Got Talent
When it comes to covering a Whitney Houston song, any performer has pretty big shoes to fill, but America's Got Talent contestant Glennis Grace certainly rose to the occasion. The 39-year-old mother put her nerves on the back-burner and belted out a stunning rendition of Houston's "Run to You" that had the entire studio audience (and all four judges!) on their feet. Her angelic voice even garnered a rare smile from Simon Cowell - bonus points!
"I'm just sitting here thinking you look amazing, you sound amazing," Cowell said after her performance, according to USA Today. "I feel like I'm looking at a star already." Mel B chimed in, "It's almost like you sounded exactly like Whitney Houston. I want you to take Whitney Houston, embody her, but then I want to see more of you." Watch Grace's entire standing-ovation-worthy performance above to see her doing Houston some serious justice.
Benedict Cumberbatch (and His Cape) Will Reportedly Return For a Doctor Strange Sequel
It's been a little under two years since Doctor Strange premiered back in 2016, and since then, the space- and time-bending wizard has been up to quite a lot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Following his epic fight with Dormammu in the Dark Dimension at the end of his film, Dr. Stephen Strange joins up with the Avengers to help stop Thanos in Infinity War, and . . . well , we all know how that worked out. With so many other high-profile titles swirling around the MCU, is a Doctor Strange sequel in our future?
According to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, absolutely yes.
The exec recently sat down with CinemaBlend at a press junket for Ant-Man and the Wasp, where he revealed the studio is already working on plans to bring Strange, as therefore actor Benedict Cumberbatch, back for a sequel.
"Sometimes it's where do those characters pop up? [Doctor] Strange, you know, whenever we do another Strange [movie], which we will do, it will be a number of years from the first Strange, and yet he's a very big part of Infinity War," Feige explained. "So it is just a good problem to have when you have too many beloved characters that people want to see more of, whilst keeping to our core belief that we need to keep exploring nuance and keep doing different types of things."
For fans of the first film, Feige's confirmation is definitely exciting. That being said, we're probably still going to have to wait until 2020 or later to see Strange - and the Cloak of Levitation - back in action.

POPSUGAR News and Culture Director Lindsay Miller was there to capture it all on video, which you can see above.
"This is his first rally," Chrissy told the crowd of Miles, to applause. "I'm really proud to be here, obviously. You guys are so incredible and give me so much hope. . . . I'm incredibly proud to be a daughter of an immigrant. My mother grew up in a very small village in Thailand . . . we love that the American story is filled with people who come from all over the world to have a better life here. We need to remind ourselves, that despite the things we've been through, it's OK to feel pain, it's OK to talk about it. The biggest obstacle to preventing suicide is silence. We as a community can start the conversation about mental health, we are in this together. Prevention starts with a conversation, and the conversation starts here.
Sip of Hope's proceeds go toward Hope For the Day, an organization focused on suicide prevention outreach and erasing the stigma surrounding mental health conversations. When you step into Sip of Hope, you'll see a large "It's OK not to be OK" on one wall, along with other inspirational art and mental health resources available for anybody to use. Plus, according to visitors, the coffee and tea are delicious!
Ahead, check out photos from the inspiring coffee bar and you'll find yourself hoping that more businesses adopt a similar model. After all, we're all in this together!

The 1 Nut Dietitians Say to Avoid If You're Trying to Lose Weight
If you're trying to lose weight, you've probably heard that nuts are a healthy snack that can help you achieve your weight-loss goals. And it's true; nuts are full of healthy fats and protein that will keep you feeling satisfied.
But there are some nuts that are healthier than others. Pistachios, for example, are about 160 calories per ounce (about 50 kernels), and one ounce of almonds is about 160 calories for approximately 23 kernels. On the flip side, macadamia nuts are about 200 calories and 20 grams of fat for just 10 nuts.
"If you are trying to lose weight, I would avoid macadamia nuts because of their caloric density," registered dietitian Michelle Routhenstein, MS, CDE, owner of Entirely Nourished, told POPSUGAR. She added that it's possible to overdo it on any nut, especially if you're not measuring out a serving size. If you just grab handfuls of nuts throughout the day and aren't careful, you could be eating hundreds of extra calories a day, which will impede your weight-loss efforts. Michelle recommends sticking to a one-ounce serving size.
Registered dietitian and personal trainer Jim White, RD, ACSM, owner of Jim White Fitness and Nutrition Studios, agreed that portion size is the biggest problem when it comes to eating nuts. Although he said all nuts can fit into a healthy lifestyle if you portion them out correctly, he agreed that macadamia nuts can be the trickiest since they have the most calories and only two grams of protein per nut.
That doesn't mean you should give up macadamia nuts entirely; they can totally fit into your weight-loss plan as long as you are careful with the serving size and allot for their calories - that is, don't just grab handfuls throughout the day. In general, you should always measure out your food, especially if you're eating something particularly calorie-dense, such as nuts, oils, or avocados.
I Gave Up Coffee For Matcha 2 Months Ago, and Here's What Happened
Dear coffee, I love you. I love your taste, your aroma - but I can't see you as often anymore. After two months of giving up my regular cup of joe, I can say that I feel better than ever. I still have the occasional coffee here and there, but only because I crave the flavor and smell, not because I think I need it. So why did I stop in the first place? I noticed that when I had coffee, I only felt more tired afterward. I felt faint, even if I was making sure to drink enough water. My jitters took hours to subside, and when it came time to sleep, I was restless. Once I did fall asleep, my rest was broken and all over the place. My solution? Part ways with coffee and try out matcha.
Why make the switch?
Coffee is a natural diuretic, which means it's dehydrating - and anything dehydrating can age you. That doesn't mean a cup of coffee will accelerate your wrinkles, but a continuous poor diet definitely will. Matcha, on the other hand, is loaded with antioxidants, which might be the key to fighting all sorts of diseases, from cancer to type 2 diabetes. And on the less scientific front, Jennifer Lopez avoids coffee to keep her energy up and her skin glowing - for me, that's reason enough.
The benefits were immediate
Once I dropped my daily coffee, I experienced benefits within just a week, and I knew I couldn't go back. My skin started to clear up, and I started to notice a glow from the boost of antioxidants. I also noticed my energy didn't dip throughout the day, so I was less likely to reach for another coffee in the afternoon. Surprisingly, I found myself more able to control sugar cravings - an effect I was not expecting at all.
So is coffee all bad?
Am I saying that coffee has no health benefits? Of course not. Two recent studies published in the Annals of Internal Medicine confirmed coffee's most important health benefit: it can help you live longer. But every body is different. The only way to know if you'll feel better with or without coffee is to try going off it yourself. If you experience similar symptoms with drinking coffee and want to stop, start small. Bring yourself down to one cup a day if you currently drink more, then slowly start to skip days. See how you feel and make changes as you go. There is no one way to be healthy, youthful, and energetic.
How to Naturally (and Easily) Clean Your Grill
If you're like me, you might love a great BBQ, but the clean-up? Not so much. That was until I found a natural and easy method that worked like a charm every single time. Disneyland Visitors Are Waiting in Really Long Lines For This Tiki Cup . . . Worth It
It's always a party at Disneyland. To celebrate the 55th anniversary of Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room on June 23, the park released a line of festive merchandise including a commemorative button, T-shirts, figurines, and a souvenir sipper. For a limited time only, guests can pick up the cute tiki cup - and, of course, a Dole Whip, while you're at it - for $13 at the Tiki Juice Bar right outside of the attraction. Plus, Disney will also throw in the button. Word of advice: guests are reporting really long lines, so you might want to set aside a good amount of time if you're set on taking this souvenir home with you.

The Best Way to Grill Asparagus
Before I learned this method, my grilled asparagus always ended up stringy, charred, and shriveled. I had all but given up hope that it could ever taste good, unless wrapped in bacon. However, while at a dinner party, I learned a new way of cooking it that is foolproof.
- Buy thick, hearty stalks of asparagus. These are less likely to fall through grill grates. Prep the asparagus by snapping off the woody ends and then peeling the stalk skin.
- Lightly coat the asparagus in a neutral-tasting, high-heat oil, using your hands to evenly coat each stalk.
- In a medium-high grill, place the asparagus stalks perpendicular to the grill grates. Close the top and allow the asparagus to cook/steam for approximately 30 seconds. Open the grill top, use tongs to flip toss the asparagus around, close the top, and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Remove from the grill and salt and pepper to taste.
That's it! You can try leaving the asparagus on longer, if you prefer grill marks, but you will find this quick method cooks the asparagus through while maintaining a slight crunch.
The Right Way to Grill Hot Dogs and Sausages
Grilling hot dogs and sausages might seem like a culinary task so simple that instructions aren't necessary. In many ways it is (easy, that is), but to do it right requires a pinch of know-how. The key thing to know is that both of these Summer cookout staples are temperature-sensitive and prone to splitting and drying out. Instead of throwing them straight on a smoking-hot grill, follow one of these two methods:
- Simmer then grill: Parcook the sausages prior to grilling by simmering them in water (or beer!) until heated through, about five minutes. Once hot, grill each side for a couple minutes over medium-high heat, until golden brown.
- Grill very carefully: Build a two-level fire in your grill (meaning medium-high heat on one side, no flame on the other). Cook the sausages on the cool side, flipping occasionally, until warm. Once warmed through, grill each side for a couple minutes over medium-high heat, until golden brown.

5 Steps to Pizza-Grilling Success
Of the less-than-conventional foods to throw on the grill, my favorite is probably pizza. I love a luscious, melted pie in any form, but there's something about the crunch and char of the crust from the grill that makes barbecued pizza irresistible. Thinking of throwing a pizza on your grates for the first time? Here are a few tips for grilled pizza pizzazz.
1. Make sure your grill is hot!
When it comes to pizza crust, the higher the temperature of your grill, the more blistery, chewy, and crispy your pizza will be. If you don't have a thermometer on your grill, then check the heat using the "Mississippi" test: hold your hand three inches over the grill grates, and start counting, "One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi," and so on. If you can only count to two or three before the force of the heat makes you pull back your hands, then you know you've got your grill at 600ºF or higher.
2. Know the basics.
Brush your dough with oil. Then, once you've hand-stretched it or rolled it out, gently drape the dough over the hot grates. Cook until the dough puffs and grill marks begin to appear underneath, about one to two minutes. Using tongs, flip the dough over, then cook until the other side is slightly charred, another couple minutes. Then add your cheese and cooked toppings, close the cover, and allow everything to meld and the cheese to become oozy (this will take several minutes).
3. Take advantage of the grill-oven hybrid method.
If you're adding toppings that require cooking time, or if you've got limited grill space and time, then try starting the dough on the grill, add your toppings, and then finish the whole thing in a preheated oven. This works especially well with toppings such as raw sausage in a hot sausage, pepper, and onion pizza.
4. Make sure your pizza's thin - but don't worry if it isn't the prettiest.
A superthick crust will mean the possibility of an undercooked, doughy pizza. Roll or stretch your pizza dough out to no thicker than 1/8 of an inch. That said, don't worry if your pizza's not a perfectly rectangular or round shape. The more uneven and rustic, the better.
5. Close the lid when your pizza's on the grill - always.
It's the only way to trap in the smoky flavors of the grill, and it's also the surest way to make sure your cheese melts.
This New Smoking Green Drink From Disney Is a Dream to Look at - but OMG, Those "Cherry Pearls"
If Buzz Lightyear were a drink, he'd be the new Infinity Fizz beverage from Disney California Adventure. With the arrival of Pixar Pier comes a whole slew of delicious new menu items, and we just can't stop staring at the smoking green drink from the Lamplight Lounge. The Infinity Fizz is made with Powerade Mountain Berry Blast, apple juice, and "cherry pearls," which are essentially cherry juice-filled balls that resemble boba tea balls. But the best part about the drink is that it's made with dry ice, so it appears to smoke. (Pro tip: one Instagram user said the smoking dry ice only lasts about five minutes, "so be quick to get that photo!")
While the $7 Infinity Fizz doesn't contain alcohol, there are plenty of cocktails on the menu at the Lamplight Lounge for you to get your fix, and if you really want to get your buzz on, we recommend the "fizzy cocktail" known as the Server Room Chill. "It tasted like a greyhound. Vodka and grapefruit," one lucky taster told POPSUGAR. "It wouldn't be what I normally order, but I wanted the experience. One thing I will tell you . . . IT WAS POTENT! I got my booze bang for the buck!"
Read on to see the photos of the Infinity Fizz drink, because although it may taste like apple juice, it looks pretty damn cool in photos.
5 Methods For Grilling Fish That Will Earn You the Title "Grill Master of Summer"
From hot dogs to halloumi and wild leeks to watermelon, just about every provision can be made more delicious on the grill. My recent obsession is fish; a short trip to the grill takes its delicate flavor profile for a wild ride, imparting a char and an intoxicatingly smoky aroma that can't be replicated. Another reason to love fish on the 'cue: the versatile protein also works well in an extensive range of preparations. Here are five of my favorite methods:
- Grill it whole. If you're new to grilling seafood, it doesn't get much easier than grilling a whole fish. Anoint it with oil, sprinkle it with salt, and toss it on the grill. Once cooked, all it needs is a sprinkling (if that) of herbs and a squeeze of lemon.
- Grill a bunch of smaller, sustainable fish. Yes, that'd be heads, tails, and all. Serve it simply with flaky Maldon sea salt and lemon juice. Here's a step-by-step for how to do it the Spanish way.
- Shape patties for burgers. Pulse a firm-fleshed, meaty fish (such as salmon or tuna) in a food processor, then season it with salt and pepper. Pack the ground fish into a mold, then grill it until it's cooked through and serve it between burger buns.
- Grill the fish in a packet. This method will yield similar effects to the healthy French en papillote preparation, except you'll want to wrap the fish in foil rather than parchment packets to prevent burning.
- Use a cedar plank. Cooking on a cedar plank will impart even more dimension to the flavor of grilled fish. Purchase inexpensive, aromatic cedar planks, presoak them to avoid smoking, then cook the fish over a closed grill for extra earthiness.
Avocado-Lovers Will Want to Fly All the Way to Korea For This New Starbucks Drink
If your avocado obsession knows no bounds, then you need to meet Starbucks Korea's newest seasonal menu item: the Avocado Blended. The frozen drink pays homage to avocados in every way, from its ingredients to its vivid green design . . . which includes a chocolate "pit" to mirror a real avocado!
The creamy, avocado-flavored beverage has actually graced Korean Starbucks locations before, when it was first introduced three years ago - and as of June 26 it's back by popular demand. But while the flavor will be familiar to the hardcore avocado fans who fell head-over-heels for the Avocado Blended back in 2015, the dark green "peel" design and chocolate topper are new, Instagram-friendly additions to the beverage.
Once you get an eyeful of the creative look from the photos ahead, you won't be surprised that there are already thousands of snaps flooding Instagram and even fan art of the drink bubbling up online. Now, who's ready to go to Korea for an Avocado Blended of their own?
