Timothée Chalamet Battles a Devastating Meth Addiction in the Trailer For Beautiful Boy
Get your tissues ready, because we're about to see Timothée Chalamet in an entirely new light. After Amazon Studios released the first two teasers from the upcoming film Beautiful Boy, we finally have the first official trailer. In the two-minute video, we get a brief glimpse of Chalamet's transformation from a lighthearted, suburban big brother enjoying Wednesday night family dinners, to a young adult battling a gruesome methamphetamine addiction. The movie, which is set to release Oct. 12, is based on David Sheff's gut-wrenching memoir about his son Nic's spiraling addiction and the heartbreaking impact it had on every person around him (Steve Carell will be playing Nic's father). Beautiful Boy is a far cry from Chalamet's sweeping Italian romance in last year's hit Call Me by Your Name, and it will shake you to your core.
