I Live in a Tiny NYC Apartment, And This Trunk Is Helping Me Live Like Marie Kondo
In 2019, I've resolved to get my home organized. But, when you live in a very small apartment, keeping things neat and tidy becomes more of a necessity than a general goal. Closet and drawer space are scarce, and I needed someplace to put sweaters, books, and general odds and ends once shelf space was out of the question. In an attempt to Marie Kondo my life, I found this Beautify Storage 2 Piece Trunk Set ($106). And, wow, is it a game changer.
My apartment is basically all white, with shades of grey and tan thrown in on occasion, so I wanted something minimal to match my decor. This trunk is just that: pristine white, and the pop of rose gold accent hardware makes it feel luxurious and much more expensive than it actually is. The fact that it comes with two trunks is ideal, because I can separate them into different categories, and not get confused about which one I need to open. As an added bonus, next to my couch, it'll look like a really chic makeshift end table. These pretty trunks come in four colors, so it'll be easy to find one that looks beautiful in your space, and trust us, you won't know how you lived without the extra storage.
My Boyfriend Refuses to Consider My Favorite Baby Name of All Time For a Really Stupid Reason
For as long as I can remember - specifically, as far back as 6 years old - I've loved the name Jack. I played the 1996 movie Jack, starring Robin Williams, on VHS over and over throughout my childhood (it was the '90s, so no one cared that it was PG-13 and most certainly not yet for my eyes), and then in 1997, my parents took me to see Titanic (again, so not appropriate, guys), and my love for the classic, traditional name only grew. Fast forward 22 years, and Titanic is not only my favorite movie of all time, but Jack is 110 percent still the only name I've ever consistently cared about when it comes to naming my future son. I never thought there'd be any reason I couldn't use it (trust, all of my friends have been briefed on the fact that I'd end them should they steal the name from me) until I met my boyfriend, and his freakin' family cat named - you guessed it - Jack.
I knew very early on in my and Matt's relationship that we were the real deal, which is when I began to panic about the fact that his adorable 8-year-old cat had stolen my future baby's thunder (I've literally had dreams in which I'm holding a newborn baby boy and sobbing because I want to name him Jack so bad, but Jack the cat is glaring at me menacingly - yes, I'm serious. Help). It's also when we started to lightheartedly fight about using the name - fairly frequently, I might add.
His reaction is the same every time; he says, "Jack is a cat's name," and though he says it playfully, I do know that he's serious.
I can't remember exactly how I first told him that Jack is the only boys' name I have ever wanted to use for a son, but since then, because he insisted Jack is a "cat name," I've started pointing out humans named Jack every chance I've gotten. A player on our favorite hockey team named his son Jack, which I saw as an opportunity to shove my phone into Matt's face while informing him: "Casey Cizikas's wife had their baby. His name is a human name. It's Jack." When I got him hooked on This Is Us? Oh look, another human man with the name Jack. His reaction is the same every time; he says, "Jack is a cat's name," and though he says it playfully, I do know that he's serious.
I love baby names so much that I've carved out a pretty niche beat for myself here at POPSUGAR, and haven't met a baby name article opportunity I didn't like (barring this Fortnite baby names post, which I just could not write). Because of that, I've noted tons of names over the years that I'd love to give a baby girl, and have even written some down should I end up with more than one boy. But invariably, with every baby name post I write, new names push out the old ones on the list I've been keeping on my phone for nearly a decade. Every name but Jack.
Sure, I could end up never having a boy, rendering this ongoing argument about whether or not Jack is a human name completely moot. But for now, I'll keep teasing Matt every time a person named Jack comes into our life and reminding him that, though we will be having children together, I'll be the one pushing said children out of my hoo-ha. And should one of them be a boy, his name is going to be Jack, damn it.
23 Whole Foods Staples For Busy People
I may or may not have chosen my apartment based on its one-and-a-half-block proximity to a Whole Foods . . . What can I say? I'm a native Texan and have been a fan for life, having grown up going to the second-ever location in Houston. Admittedly, I sometimes do feel like I'm shopping at Whole Paycheck, but I know I'm investing in my health and in high-quality brands. This Mom's Cats Became Best Friends Forever With Her Newborn Daughter and I'm Squealing
Cassie Carter, a mom and cat-lover from Australia, wanted her three cats to get along with her baby girl Alina more than anything. But after giving birth and spending three days in the hospital, she wasn't exactly sure how her fur babies would react to her real one.
"Out of my three cats, only my black-and-white one Kanye was all right around Alina at first," Cassie told POPSUGAR. "[My black cat] Drake was wary of us for the first few days because we smelled like the hospital, but he started warming up to me again before Alina. He was obsessed with my pregnant belly so I thought it was strange that he took a while to start loving her."
"Every day he got more and more comfortable around her and now doesn't leave her side!"
Although Cassie was thrilled that Kanye took an instant shining to Alina, she was eager to see if Drake would get used to having a new roommate.
"Drake was a bit scared of her at first, but he got more and more curious as the days went on," she said. "The first time he sat with her was on the couch but he ran off as soon as she moved. Every day he got more and more comfortable around her and now doesn't leave her side!"
While Cassie and her husband are adamant about never leaving Alina alone with her kitties - after all, you can never be too safe! - she loves how close all of her babies have become.
"Drake has his own little blanket in her cot that he sleeps on to reduce the cat hair she comes into contact with," explained Cassie. "Even though I'm not worried about him hurting her, he's not allowed in her room overnight just to be safe."
Scroll through to get a peek at all of Alina's adorable adventures with her four-legged friends - and try not to squeal in the process!
Peeps Cereal Has Arrived at Target, and Yep, It Makes Your Milk Taste Like Marshmallows!
Peeps are invading breakfast time - again! Just a few weeks after International Delight's Peeps coffee creamer made its debut, Kellogg's quietly dropped a brand-new cereal inspired by the fluffy Easter candies. The limited-edition breakfast treat combines white marshmallows with pink, blue, and yellow cereal pieces covered in sugary dots reminiscent of those found on Apple Jacks or Oreo O's. So yeah, your milk is gonna taste pretty sugary once you devour a bowlful.
So far, it looks like the family-size boxes of Kellogg's Peeps cereal have only been spotted on shelves at Target, and shoppers who've gotten their hands on a box are pretty into the flavor. "It's strange but it works!" one Instagram user admitted. "The sweetness is a nice balance; not too sweet but not bland." Another happy customer quipped that you get a "huge [whiff] of vanilla" when you open the box and that "the milk is super sugary and sweet at the end." Um, we're sold! Now, who's down for a trip to Targé?

Move That Bus! Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Is Getting a Reboot
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is on its way back to the small screen, and it has a new home to boot. The Ty Pennington-hosted home improvement series is getting a reboot that's set to air on HGTV, after the previous nine seasons aired on ABC for nearly a decade. HGTV has plans to produce 10 brand-new episodes that are expected to debut in early 2020, though the network hasn't made clear who, if anyone, from the original series will return to the show.
In the event that you're someone who never had the chance to properly stan Extreme Makeover: Home Edition's original iteration - or if you just need to pump yourself up before the 2020 premiere - HGTV has also secured the rights to air 100 episodes of the show in the US and the Caribbean. That means you have a full year to marathon though all of the episodes before the reboot makes its debut. Guess I know what I'll be doing until then.
Oreo Is Selling New Valentine's Day Cookies With the Cutest Messages on Them
Following the lead of Lava Cake Hershey's Kisses and Heart-Shaped Starburst Jellybeans, a new Oreo flavor is the latest addition to the list of cutesy Valentine's Day snacks. The new Oreos - called Love, Oreo - are made with classic chocolate cookies and a "sweet and tangy" berry-flavored creme filling, and each one comes with a cute message printed on both sides à la conversation hearts. The sayings include phrases like "Let's Twist," "Dunk in Love," and "Xoxo Oreo."
Love, Oreos are currently available at select retailers for around $3 a pack - but fair warning that they've received some pretty mixed reviews so far, with blogger Dad Bod Snacks comparing the flavor to that of cherry limeade. "Which I'm not a fan of, sadly," he wrote. Still, for anyone who's interested in stocking up on Valentine's Day snacks early, the cookies are available at Target and Walmart.
Diet Coke Just Released 2 Fruity Flavors, and They're Unlike Anything You've Tried Before
Diet Coke will never go out of style, but that doesn't mean it can't switch up its flavors sometimes. That's exactly what the brand is doing at the start of 2019, so get ready to introduce your palate to two new varieties that are pretty unexpected. Blueberry Acai and Strawberry Guava Diet Coke are officially on shelves as of this month! These refreshing new options still taste like the Diet Coke you know and love, but with an extrasweet twist.
I got my hands on a few cans ahead of the launch, and I conducted a blind taste test for fellow POPSUGAR editors. Here are a few of their flavor guesses - some are more spot on than others.
Strawberry Guava
- Strawberry
- Bubblegum
- '90s candy
- Gum
Blueberry Acai
- Raspberry
- Black cherry
- Lip Smackers
- Watermelon
- Melted candy
It's clear that you definitely get a berry vibe from each of the new flavors, and each sip is more delicious than the last. Whether you have a sweet tooth or just want to change up your afternoon caffeine break, look for one of the sleek, 12-ounce cans individually or in eight-packs. These fun new flavors join the lineup of other Diet Coke flavors, including Ginger Lime, Twisted Mango, Zesty Blood Orange, and Feisty Cherry.
Nothing Can Top the Look on This Groom's Face When He First Sees His Christmas Bride
Christmastime is a wonderful time. With the heavenly white snow, beautifully decorated trees, and glimmering lights, it's hard not to fall in love with the whole season. Aside from the beauty of the season, this bride wanted to incorporate some fun into her big day, and that wasn't complete without a Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer mask. Trust us, you will want to see this!
Besides the hysterical first look from the groom, the wedding dazzled with holiday cheer. The venue was decorated with at least five Christmas trees, about a hundred strands of twinkling lights, and it even featured a choir made up of bridesmaids. The photographer, Rachel Whitehurst, had this to say about the happy couple:
"When I think of a Christmas wedding, this is what I dream of. Liz and Pat are two of the most fun humans I have ever met, and their wedding was one I will never forget. Deep red curtains, sparkling gold lights, the smell of pine, and a warm wooden ceiling made the venue feel both cozy and otherworldly. It was full of goofiness (literally . . . their recessional song was 'Eye to Eye' from A Goofy Movie), but also felt magical - like that feeling I remember from childhood laying beneath the ornamented tree on Christmas Eve."
Take a look at their beautiful day ahead, and try not to laugh when you see the bride's big Rudolph reveal!
This Spinning Ice Disk in Maine Looks Like Something You'd See in Space
In what seems like some form of meteorological wizardry, an almost perfectly circular ice disk was seen rotating along the Presumpscot River in Westbrook, ME, on Jan. 16. Though the disk reportedly began to melt as temperatures warmed up, it stayed spinning long enough to catch the attention of local news stations, and eventually the entire internet after a drone video by Bulldog Aerials made its rounds.
Ice disks form when a river's accelerating water causes larger mounds of ice or slush to break apart. Because of the consistently moving flow of water, the smaller pieces of ice gravitate toward one another, and as they rotate, surrounding mounds and rocks "shave" the ice into a smooth, more uniform circle.
While a moderately rare occurrence in general, ice disks of this size are especially so. According to California Institute of Technology Physics Professor Kenneth G. Libbrecht, most ice disks have a 20- to 30-foot range - this one looks about 300 feet across. "It might be a world-record size, if anybody were keeping track," he told The New York Times. "To put it simply, I eat a lot of food when I train," Lauren shared. She eats about 3,000 calories a day and weighs around 135 pounds. "Food is my fuel and I wouldn't be able to perform the way I do if I didn't eat that much." The UCLA Gymnast Whose Floor Routine Went Viral Was Once Shamed For Her Curves
Before UCLA gymnast Katelyn Ohashi moonwalked into our collective hearts with a Michael Jackson-inspired floor routine - and stunned again on Jan. 12, earning a perfect 10 during her team's season opener against Cal - she was an Olympic hopeful, competing with the likes of Simone Biles, whom she defeated at the 2013 American Cup.
But the sport wasn't always kind to Katelyn, who, after a series of injuries, chose to step down from the elite level and enroll in college. "No one ever fully knew what I was going through," Katelyn said in a Players' Tribune video last year, recounting her decision to leave that scene behind. "I was told that it was embarrassing how big I had become. I was compared to a bird that couldn't fly." She credits her coach Valorie Kondos Field and UCLA teammates for helping her find her joy and love for gymnastics again.
As a Bruin, Katelyn has scored six career perfect 10s and helped to elevate her team to both a Pac-12 and NCAA championship in 2018. Watch her inspiring journey above.
How Many Grams of Sugar Should You Eat Each Day to Lose Weight? These Experts Explain
You've no doubt heard that sugar has been the number one culprit behind weight gain. In fact, over the last few years, sugar has all but been demonized as the terrible-for-you ingredient that is as addictive as cocaine and will lead to heart disease and diabetes. And while that's all a bit of an exaggeration, there's no denying that sugar, especially added sugar found in packaged food and sweets, isn't great for your health.
The American Heart Association recommends no more than six teaspoons (25 grams) of added sugar a day for women and nine teaspoons (36) grams for men. "Added sugars contribute zero nutrients but many added calories that can lead to extra pounds or even obesity, thereby reducing heart health," the AHA wrote on its website. And the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends only 10 percent of your diet come from added sugar, noting that "a further reduction to below five percent or roughly 25 grams (6 teaspoons) per day would provide additional health benefits."
OK, got it: keep the sugar down for overall health. But what's the sugar threshold for weight loss? Turns out, there's not a one-size-fits-all number. "There isn't a specific value for how many grams of sugar you should eat for weight loss," Ysabel Montemayor, RD, lead dietitian at Fresh n' Lean, told POPSUGAR "Many foods contain sugar, such as breads, grains, beverages, sweets, dairy products, fruits, and even vegetables." She added that the Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend, like the WHO, no more than 10 percent of calories come from added sugar. So for a 2,000-calorie-a-day diet, this would be around 50 grams of added sugar. Plus carbs, which contain sugar, should constitute 45-65 percent of your diet, according to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans (about 225-325 grams of total carbs).
To make matters more confusing, Ana Reisdorf, MS, RD, said there is no recommendation for sugar grams separate from total carb grams; while there is a recommendation for added sugar, total sugar gets a lot more confusing since foods like fruit and whole-grain carbs also contain sugar. And while the FDA revealed that new food packaging will distinguish between grams of total sugar and added sugar on the nutrition label, that feature is currently not on the market.
Instead of focusing on a specific gram amount, Ysabel recommends choosing sugar-containing foods that are fiber-rich, such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, which can help you lose weight because "they are absorbed more slowly into the body and can keep you fuller longer." Refined sugar and sweets, on the other hand, are digested quickly and cause a spike in blood sugar, leading to an inevitable crash, which can mess with your insulin levels and cause weight gain. While Ysabel recommended to limit added sugars and refined carbs, Ana said she tells her clients to choose packaged foods that have less than 10 grams of sugar on the label.
Overall, the amount of total sugar you should eat in a day should be determined by your doctor or registered dietitian, especially if you're looking to lose weight. Ysabel added that certain people, such as those with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, may have more specific needs, which should be determined by their healthcare provider.
In general, it's best to stick to the AHA guidelines, which is not only good for weight loss but also for overall health: 25 grams or less of added sugar a day. If you need help cutting back, check out these handy steps.

An Expert Explains Why Too Much Cardio Is "Counterproductive" to Losing Fat and Building Muscle
When it comes to exercise, there isn't one best way to lose fat. In general, to reduce body fat, most experts recommend a balance of cardio and strength training along with proper nutrition. To find out the benefits of cardio for fat loss and whether or not it actually burns body fat, POPSUGAR spoke with Rondel King, MS, CSCS, an exercise physiologist at NYU Langone's Sports Performance Center.
The Pros and Cons of Cardio For Fat Loss
A 2016 study published in the Journal of Internal Medicine reported that cardiovascular forms of exercise like walking, swimming, cycling, and stair climbing reduced type 2 diabetes, some cancers, falls, osteoporotic fractures, and depression. They also found that there was an improvement in physical function, weight management, cognitive function, and enhancement of the quality of life. Overall, cardio is good for your health; however, when it comes to fat loss, it may not be your best option.
"If you're continuously doing long, drawn-out cardio and you're trying to lose weight, than that could be counterproductive because that may be catabolic to your overall system," Rondel told POPSUGAR. Catabolic is the process of muscle tissue breaking down. He explained that too much of this type of cardio will cause an increase in stress hormones, such as cortisol, which are "very catabolic in nature" and do not promote tissue growth to an extent. "It can help you lose weight but also cause you to lose muscle mass," he said.
Better Ways to Burn Fat
Cardio can help you burn fat, but as Rondel stated, you'll more than likely lose muscle mass. To prevent that from occurring, Rondel recommended high-intensity interval training (HIIT) because, "It gives you a hormonal response that's conducive to muscle growth, and it's more anabolic - where you're developing tissue, muscles, collagen, cartilage, things of that nature," he said. HIIT also "produces precursors to things like testosterone and growth hormone and things that will potentially help you increase your lean muscle mass," he explained.
Strength training is also imperative in order to lose body fat and build muscle. According to Rondel, your strength sessions should incorporate compound exercises because they require more energy to perform and burn more calories and fat. Your workouts should also focus on muscle hypertrophy (maximal muscle growth) where you perform three to five sets of 12 to 15 reps per exercise. On average, Rondel said you should strength train a minimum of two to three times a week. If you aren't sure where to begin when it comes to strength training, start with this four-week program.
Some people may notice a change in their physique from steady-state cardio and some will not. At the end of the day, Rondel said, "There's a lot of variability, we're all different, and our bodies will respond differently to these hormonal responses."
This 1 Thing Eased My Anxiety Almost Immediately, and I Never Would Have Guessed
I've been suffering from a mysterious illness that causes fatigue, dizziness, inflammation, and severe anxiety for several years. When I began taking a more holistic approach to treating my symptoms, I never thought acupuncture would be on my list of things to try. For one thing, I think my illness partially stems from my anxiety, and needles terrify me. I faint when I get my flu shot, so I couldn't imagine that being treated like a human pincushion would help me relax.
I changed my mind when a friend told me how acupuncture had changed her life. The frequency and severity of her migraines decreased significantly just from her first few treatments. I told her I was afraid that it wouldn't be worth the money (acupuncture can be expensive), but she assured me that if I was going to invest in anything, it should be self-care. I took the chance and made an appointment, and I'm so glad I did.
The acupuncturist actually listened. She let me cry. She sympathized. She offered advice. And she didn't make me feel crazy or overdramatic or try to blame my physical symptoms on anxiety and depression alone. Rather than getting impatient or frustrated by the things I described, she assured me that she could help. She acknowledged that I'm a very sick person, just not in a way Western medicine traditionally recognizes. That alone healed a part of me that I didn't know was so damaged.
Related: An Open Letter to My Friends About My Anxiety
An acupuncturist treats mind, body, and soul as one entity. Essentially, the fine needles help redirect energy (or qi) in the body, stimulating the nervous system. Depending on the pressure points triggered, acupuncture can help ease a number of conditions. Research has shown it to be effective for treating anxiety, though more studies are needed.
Still, I was skeptical and nervous. Fortunately, the acupuncturist reassured me throughout the appointment, always telling me what she was doing so I wouldn't be surprised and providing a distraction when I needed one. She talked to me the whole time because I was anxious, but she explained that some people like to meditate or sleep during that time.
The acupuncturist hugged me when I left, and I fought the urge to cry tears of relief.
For the most part, I didn't feel the needles at all, not even a prick. And when they were in, I swear I could actually feel the energy moving. It was so strange, like a buzzing, tingling sensation. My arms and body just melted; I felt like I was sinking into the table. The acupuncturist hugged me when I left, and I fought the urge to cry tears of relief.
I could have fallen asleep at my desk prior to that appointment, but afterward, I felt like I'd had about five shots of espresso, minus the shakes, jitters, or anxiety. My mind seemed clear. I felt awake and alert and yet somehow less reactive. I was calm and thoughtful in my responses, instead of feeling panicked, acting on impulse, or snapping unnecessarily.
Before I left my appointment that day, we laid out a treatment plan that includes six weeks of acupuncture treatments, followed by appointments on a case-by-case basis. I'm also making changes to my diet, practicing meditation for five to 10 minutes each morning, and focusing more on the things that bring me joy. While I'm not sure this will solve my problem, it feels good to treat the physical and emotional symptoms together, rather than dismissing them as separate issues. She seems so certain that there's a light at the end of this painful, exhausting tunnel, and now I am, too.

13 Exercises to Strengthen Your Legs - and None of Them Are Lunges!
There isn't one perfect way to tone and strengthen your legs. If you're trying to increase your lower-body strength, you've probably read and heard that you should be doing exercises like squats, sprints, deadlifts, and lunges.
As a trainer, I've found that people either love lunges or absolutely despise them. If you relate to the latter and need lunge-free exercises to strengthen your legs without cringing, continue reading. Don't do all 13 exercises as a workout; you will regret it. Instead, select three to five moves and begin to incorporate them into your leg workouts.
Melatonin Is a Natural Sleep Aid, but Here's Why You Should Stop Taking It
More than a third of US adults report insufficient sleep - defined as fewer than seven hours per day - according to the Centers For Disease Control, and while it's tempting to wear your exhaustion like a badge of honor, getting to the bottom of your sleep troubles is essential. "Sleep is important for health, just like nutrition and exercise, and it should be protected," neurologist Heidi Roth, MD, codirector of the sleep clinic at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, told POPSUGAR.
There are a number of reasons you might be running short on sleep, and an equal number of over-the-counter remedies promising relief. One of the most common is melatonin, a hormone that's known to regulate the sleep-wake cycle. When taken six hours before bed - when your body would naturally kick into melatonin-producing mode - the supplement may help you drift off to sleep more easily, Dr. Roth noted. But is it safe, especially if taken every night? Not necessarily.
Melatonin appears to be safe when used in the short-term, according to the National Institutes of Health, but the government agency warns that a lack of long-term studies means we don't know if it could be harmful when taken for longer periods. Even so, the Mayo Clinic reports that people are unlikely to become dependent on the supplement, which is a known risk with other sleep aids.
Still, continued use isn't recommended, especially since sleep issues are often caused by an underlying condition, such as sleep apnea. "Medical evaluation for sleep problems should always come first," Dr. Roth said. If melatonin is recommended, your doctor can help you determine the right dosage. The standard offering of three to 10 mg is higher than most patients need.
Learn the Basics and Build Muscle With This 5-Move Total-Body Dumbbell Workout
If your goal is to dominate your weightlifting workouts, you've got to first master the basics. Doing so will ensure you've nailed down the proper technique (which is more important than how heavy you lift) and, at the end of the day, put you in the best position to build muscle.
This five-move total-body workout is simple - you aren't grabbing a bunch of equipment, and it contains movements you do every day - but let me be clear: simple is not synonymous with easy. I guarantee your muscles will be sore for a few days after you finish this workout.
The Beginner Dumbbell Workout
Before getting started, it's imperative you make sure you complete a dynamic warmup to get your muscles warm and prevent injury. Here's one of our favorites. Grab a pair of 10-pound dumbbells; if this is too light or too heavy for any of the exercises, adjust the weight. Here's a thorough guide to selecting the right weight. Complete the listed sets and reps for each exercise before proceeding to the next exercise. Take no more than one minute of rest in between each exercise. Don't forget to cool down and stretch after the workout.
- Dumbbell squat: three sets of 15 reps
- Dumbbell deadlift: three sets of 10 reps
- Dumbbell walking lunges: two sets of 10 reps
- Single-arm row: three sets of 12 reps (each arm)
- Dumbbell bench press: three sets of 10 reps

Rihanna Is Coming Out With Fenty Sunglasses Because CLEARLY She Wants Every Dime of Mine
When we first saw Rihanna's outfit from a club appearance in NYC, our eyes instantly zoomed into her amazing Balenciaga boot pants, but we should've been paying attention to her futuristic sunglasses. Thanks to her fans on Twitter who apparently miss nothing (as one of our editors said, "Thankfully, the Navy is laser-focused"), we realized that queen RiRi is expanding her ever-growing empire by releasing a Fenty accessories collection.
Needless to say, our office went wild, and the hilarity ensued in our group chat:
- "I wonder if there's a way to funnel Rihanna my money through like a direct deposit or something? Just take it out of my paycheck like child support."
- "She wants every dime of mine."
- "Waits for my Fenty shoes and my Fenty couch."
- "I want Fenty cutlery and cookware!"
While we're waiting on the rest of Rihanna's lifestyle brand, she apparently wore two different styles of her upcoming collection without anyone even noticing. First, she rocked an oversize visor style that featured studded embellishment, and later she styled her boot pants with a pair of black and silver frames that had Fenty written on the side in bold letters. Read on to get a closer look, along with Twitter's reactions.

When Kate Middleton Goes Gardening, Even Her Earrings Have to Fit the Theme
The Duchess of Cambridge knows a thing or two about dressing appropriately for the occasion, so it's no surprise that when she took a trip to Islington, London, to visit the King Henry's Walk Garden, an award-winning community green space, she wore an outfit that was perfect for getting stuck into a spot of gardening. But this is the wife of the future king we're talking about, so this was a gardening outfit with a twist. After all, how many of us put on our best diamond earrings when we're planting bulbs?
For her trip back to nature (and a spot of al fresco pizza-making), Kate didn't skimp on details. As well as those Kiki McDonough earrings (which are leaf-shaped, in keeping with the occasion), she opted for a fitted funnel neck tweed coat by Dubarry, a burgundy knit sweater, army green skinny jeans, and a pair of lace-up suede ankle boots. On previous engagements that required this kind of "country chic" look, Kate's almost always whipped out her beloved Penelope Chivers knee-high boots. But perhaps that decade-old design is finally ready to be replaced? These new See By Chloe boots, which the duchess wore with the laces tied low on the ankle, were a much more modern update and had a little something in common with a pair of suede Stuart Weitzman boots that her sister-in-law sported toward the end of last year. Keep reading for a closer look and to shop Kate's look for yourself.

RIP to the Tennis Court, Because Serena Williams Just Slayed It in This Green Bodysuit
We can always count on Serena Williams to make a damn-good fashion statement while dominating the tennis court, and her first outfit at the Australian Open certainly didn't disappoint. The 37-year-old athlete showed up to her match against Germany's Tatjana Maria - a match she crushed in just 49 minutes, might I add - wearing an emerald bodysuit she designed with Nike.
Her outfit featured white and black stripes and a triangular cutout in the back, and Serena wore it with compression stockings and black Nike sneakers. When asked if her one-piece outfit was a onesie or leotard, the mother of one dubbed it a "Serena-tard" while speaking to journalists during a postmatch press conference. So much yes!
Last year, the backhand-smashing queen was famously banned from wearing a catsuit at the French Open. A few days after the dress code restriction was announced, Serena boldly debuted an outfit featuring a tulle tutu-like skirt at the US Open, causing quite the flurry of passionate responses from fans. Needless to say, Serena's latest French Open look has incited similarly supportive reactions, which you can read ahead after admiring her outfit from all angles.

Rihanna's Clubbing Outfit Means Business, but Her Boots Say She's Ready to Party!
If you've ever wondered what Rihanna would wear to a club, let's just say it's definitely not what you'd expect. While most celebrities opt for minidresses or sparkly ensembles, Rihanna proved she's a badass babe by rocking a black blazer. For a pop of color, she styled her sophisticated blazer with a slime green shirt and a pair of futuristic sunglasses from her upcoming Fenty accessories line. Instead of finishing off her outfit with a pair of jeans, Rihanna upped the ante and wore a pair of black boot pants (because why the heck not?!). Keep reading to get a closer look at her sexy shoes and shop similar versions, if you're feeling adventurous.
Every Royal Owns This 1 Pair of Shoes - Did They All Go Shopping Together?
Due to the nature of their role and the many unspoken royal style rules they're required to follow, there are plenty of occasions when members of the royal family dress similarly. Keep reading to see all the pairs that the British royals have worn in recent years, then shop some of their favorites for yourself, plus a few affordable alternatives.
Jimmy Fallon and Lin-Manuel Miranda Blew Us All Away With Their Hamilton Performance
Raise a glass to Lin-Manuel Miranda and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon! On Jan. 15, the late-night host released videos from his visit to Puerto Rico, which included a full-costume performance with Miranda and the Hamilton cast. In a clever twist, Fallon sang "The Story of Tonight" with updated lyrics, giving a nod to his own show.
"There are friends who say 'good luck,' and there are friends who say, 'Hold on, I'm coming with you,'" Miranda tweeted, in regards to Fallon's support.
While it's been over three years since Hamilton premiered on Broadway in 2015, the fandom still goes strong. Former president Barack Obama's cover of "One Last Time" even made the Billboard charts earlier this month. Miranda brought the production to Puerto Rico in an effort to raise money for artists impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Maria in 2017. Watch the full video above to get a glimpse of the fun these two had together, and relive one of our favorite Hamilton songs.
Kate Middleton Is Adorably Chatty While Making Pizza and Crafts With Some Cute Kids
Kate Middleton is getting back into the swing of things after the royal holiday celebrations with her first official royal engagement of the year, and as you'd expect, it's a cute one!
On Jan. 15, the Duchess of Cambridge spent the morning at King Henry's Walk Community Garden in Islington, London, where she spoke to volunteers about the impact of gardening and homegrown food. The duchess, who was dressed in a very appropriate army-green outfit, excitedly chatted with children from St. Jude and St. Paul's Primary School about pizza, birdwatching, and learning outdoors. Kate might also have been getting some gardening tips during her visit, as Kensington Palace announced she will be codesigning the RHS Garden for the Chelsea Flower Show later this year.
In a press release, the palace said, "The garden will build on Her Royal Highness's passion for the outdoors and the proven benefits that nature has on physical and mental health - The Duchess is a strong advocate for the positive impact that nature and the environment can have on childhood development." Ahead, get a closer look at all of Kate's cute moments from the visit.
