Helen Mirren Completely Shocked Stephen Colbert When She Greeted Him With a Kiss
Helen Mirren gave Stephen Colbert one hell of a greeting when she appeared on The Late Show on Tuesday. When she walked on stage, Stephen approached her to shake her hand - but she oh so smoothly put one hand on his face as she went in for a kiss that left him quite literally speechless. As Helen shrugged, Stephen just stood there, wondering what had just happened as the crowd cheered. Later, while Stephen wiped sweat from his forehead, Helen explained, "If I didn't do it then, I'd never get to do it, so, you know . . . I've been dreaming about doing that for about 15 years. I just grabbed my chance, I'm so sorry." It's official: when you're Helen Mirren, you can do whatever you want and easily get away with it.
