This Woman Complied With Her Work's Infuriating Dress Code by Cosplaying
Some bosses are total sticklers when it comes to dress code in the workplace, but one employee just couldn't get a break from hers. June J. Rivas was continuously called out by her superior for her "unprofessional" appearance at work. Wearing her hair in a ponytail, in a scarf, and in pigtails was deemed inappropriate, even though the workplace's loose dress code is defined as "clean and pressed" - so she fought back with some cosplay.
In response to June's harassment complaint to HR, her boss implemented new standards that prohibit strapless clothing, hats, sandals, cleavage, exposed back, lace, and even "cultural head wraps," Rivas shared in a Facebook rant. Rivas reported her boss to the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and found the best loophole in the new dress code: cosplay. "I have come to work each day in an outfit that fits the guidelines she laid out . . . just . . . not QUITE the way she expected," Rivas wrote.
While she waits for a response from the EEOC, June's come to work in a number of geeky outfits that we can't get over. Check out all her awesome looks ahead.
