Whoa - You Would Never Expect a Pair of Converses to Have This Cool Feature
Fans of Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars will be excited to know that the sneaker has received a major upgrade. During a Hack a Chuck competition, design agency Critical Mass created a pair of Chucks that has a built-in wah pedal. For those who are not in a band, a wah pedal is a type of guitar effect that delivers distinctive tones.
All you have to do is move your foot while wearing the shoe and it adds a wah to any plugged-in guitar. This is possible since there is a sensor in the sole of the shoe that registers movements similar to when you press on an actual wah pedal. The information is then sent via Bluetooth to a wah box.
Although there is no news on when this genius sneaker will be released to the public, you can check out how it all works in the video above. A lucky group of 13 guitarists got to test out the prototype shoe early, and they are rocking it.
