10 Things to Know About Famous in Love's Georgie Flores - Straight From the Actress
Georgie Flores plays the sweet but stern Cassandra on Freeform's highly anticipated Famous in Love, from the creator of Pretty Little Liars. Cassandra is Bella Thorne's character Paige's best friend. She's an aspiring actress and theater major who is trying to get her next big break, but when she goes to an audition with Paige, both of their lives change.
Just like Georgie in real life, Cassandra is Latina, and that was something that was very important to Georgie. "It's so nice because I've had so many auditions where I have to have an accent or play a stereotypical Latina when that's not even a thing anymore. I was born in the United States. I have a Mexican mom and dad. And I speak Spanish fluently, but I also speak English fluently. I learned both languages at the exact same time. So I don't have an accent for either," she said. "It's amazing to get to play a Latina but not have to force myself to have a Spanish accent or anything stereotypical. I love it and I think it's the perfect role for me."
