A Frida Kahlo Festival Is Trying to Set an Impressive World Record

The Dallas Museum of Art is throwing the ultimate Frida Fest in hopes of setting a Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed as Frida Kahlo in one place. The museum is celebrating what would have been Frida's 110th birthday on July 6 with the giant event. The record-setting gathering will also celebrate the end of the museum's "Mexico 1900-1950: Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, José Clemente Orozco, and the Avant-Garde" exhibition.

"Grab you flower crowns, connect your eyebrows, throw on a shawl . . . to be part of a record-setting event," the museum's event page states. In order to participate in the record attempt, people have to provide their own costume and fit this criteria set by Guinness: Each person has to have a drawn unibrow, a minimum of three artificial flowers worn in the hair, a red or pink shawl, and a flower-printed dress that extends to below the knees on all sides.

Latina-owned brand Reina Rebelde will be at the festival to "help you embrace the unibrow with complimentary Frida Kahlo-inspired looks," according to the Dallas Star Telegram. We can't wait to see the photos!
