John Heard, best known for his role as the dad in Home Alone, has died at age 72. John was found dead at a hotel in Palo Alto, CA on Friday night, according to sources close to the family. His cause of death is still unclear. The actor had a "minor back surgery" at Stanford Medical Center on Wednesday, TMZ reports. John is survived by his two sons John Matthew "Jack" Heard and Max, and his daughter, Annika.
