The New Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Glow Highlighter Will Make Your Entire Body Gleam
Anastasia Beverly Hills is about to give you a shiny new toy to make your skin beam. The brand is expanding its innovative highlighter family to include four strobing creams. This is the first time ABH has created a liquid highlighter - as you know, the line is famous for its creative and viral powder Glow Kits.
"I felt that the need was there to complete the Glow category for Anastasia Beverly Hills," Claudia Soare, aka Norvina and the president of Anastasia Beverly Hills, told POPSUGAR. "Powder is more commonly used and very popular with the ABH customer, but there is the customer who doesn't wear a full face of makeup everyday and wants that 'second-skin' finish. Also, summertime is the perfect time to use a product like this as we naturally wear less on our face due to the heat."
"There is the customer who doesn't wear a full face of makeup everyday and wants that 'second-skin' finish."
The ABH Liquid Glow lineup includes four shades featuring a dewy, pearly finish. "I wanted to start simple with popular glow shades that compliment a wide skin tone range," Soare explained why she picked these hues. "The formula is unique in that it's creamy and very luminescent without a waxy or sticky residue, and the finish is not glittery." We tested the product firsthand and can attest that this is true! The formula melts into skin.
Finding your perfect shade is easy, since most are versatile. Perla is a champagne platinum meant for fair and light skin tones. Oyster is a sparkling rose gold. "This one is fantastic as it looks great from fair to medium tan," Soare said. "It has a broad range." She also noted that Peach Fizz, a golden copper, works well with medium-tan, olive, and deep skin tones. Those with darker complexions will love Bronzed, a metallic amber.
As you've probably seen in YouTube and Instagram tutorials, many bloggers and makeup artists layer highlighter to get a multidimensional sheen. Liquid Glow can be your first step (usually the application goes: liquid, cream, powder). "You can wear Liquid Glow like any other highlighter," Soare added. "It can be layered underneath powder highlighter, and a unique selling point is that it looks great on the body."
You can see it worn from head-to-toe on influencers like Amra Olević and Jayden Robison, who posed in the gorgeous poolside campaign for this launch. And we have exclusive behind-the-scenes images ahead.
Working with Amra is a big deal as she has 5.5 million Instagram followers. Soare described the campaign as "very Amra."
"After my first shoot at the water studio, I called her up knowing she is the glow queen and asked her if she would be into the idea of me making her the official queen of glow by having her seated on a throne in the middle of a water oasis," Soare said of the inspiration behind the campaign. "She loved it and agreed. The product is really fun, so it inspired me to create a wide variety of marketing assets."
And if you're hoping for more Liquid Glow colors, then make sure to buy the ones available on anastasiabeverlyhills.com on July 25 for $25 each. When asked if more shades - like a unicorn-inspired one - could be in the works, Soare responded: "Not sure, we will see how it does!"
