There's a "Clown Motel" For Sale in Nevada - and It Looks Creepy AF
Actually being able to fall asleep in your hotel room is, like, so overrated, right? That must've been the idea behind the iconic Clown Motel in Tonopah, NV (aka our worst nightmare come true). No, this place isn't the set of a horror film; it's an actual motel you can stay in overnight, and it looks pretty darn terrifying, if you ask us.
The Clown Motel has been a Tonopah staple for more than 20 years, drawing tons of courageous tourists who are brave enough to lay their heads down while surrounded by creepy, permanently smiling clowns. To top it all off, the motel is conveniently situated right next to Tonopah's first cemetery, which is sure to send shivers down your spine. Although the nightly rates are pretty dirt-cheap (they range from $43-52, depending on how many people are in your party), we can't say that'd be enough to sway us to make a reservation.
Now that the Clown Motel is up for sale, it's garnering quite a bit of buzz among clown-lovers and haters alike. Let's take a gander at this eerie yet intriguing motel, shall we?
