Jimmy Kimmel Slams Trump and the FCC on "Absolutely Despicable" Net Neutrality Repeal

Jimmy Kimmel is just one of the millions of people who are furious about the FCC's Dec. 14 decision to repeal net neutrality. But as he has the platform to do so, Kimmel took a moment during last night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live to make his voice heard and to completely slam the actions of Ajit Pai, the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission. "The FCC did something absolutely despicable today. They voted to put an end to net neutrality. This is the rule that says everyone gets equal access to the internet - a big company or somebody selling crocheted owls from their house in the Midwest," he said.

Naturally, he didn't stop there - he also made sure to "thank" Donald Trump, who designated Pai as chairman of the FCC in January. "Thank you, President Trump. Thanks to you and this jackhole you appointed to run the FCC, big corporations are about to take full control of the internet." Despite the fact that 83 percent of Americans support net neutrality, the vote to repeal it won with a 3-2 majority. And while Kimmel is one of the first public figures to voice his thoughts on the decision, it's likely we'll hear a whole lot more about this issue in the weeks and months to come.
