If you're looking for a tasty bottle of bubbly at a price you can afford to stock up on, you'll want in on this tip. Trader Joe's is selling La Burgondie Brut Reserve for $10, and it's worth every single penny! Rated 90 points by Wine Enthusiast, the "best buy" sparkler also came highly recommended from the staff at my local Trader Joe's, which is how I discovered this yummy $5 Rosé.
Imported from Burgundy, France, it's technically a Cremant (aka French for sparkling wine). La Burgondie Brut Reserve's notes of citrus, pear, and apple have just a hint of crusty bread, making it the perfect sparkler to sip while devouring a baguette slathered with gooey cheese. It's brut, which means it's dry instead of sweet. If you prefer a sweeter taste, you can always go the mimosa route. Or, for an easy New Year's Eve-worthy cocktail, add a splash of St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur and a lemon peel.
With the countdown to 2017 approaching, I wouldn't be surprised if this bubbly sells out, so get it while you can!
