Please Enjoy This Virtual Birthday Card I Made For My Queen, Fiona the Hippo
If you're a sentient being with access to the internet, 2017 was probably the year you fell in love with a buoyant and beautiful hippo named Fiona. Thanks to her adorable Instagram snaps and Rubenesque silhouette, the Cincinnati Zoo resident catapulted to (well-deserved) stardom after being born six weeks premature.
On Jan. 24, we arrived at a very special milestone for all members of #TeamFiona: her very first birthday. This internet-famous hippo has made it a long way from an underweight, fragile baby to the thriving, 655-pound diva we all know and love today - and that's a damn good reason to celebrate.
