Saoirse Ronan Just Wore the Black-Red Valentine's Day Makeup of Your Goth Dreams
When it comes to red carpet appearances, Saoirse Ronan usually opts for the "less is more" school of thought. In fact, just a few days before the Critics' Choice Awards, Saoirse showed up at the Golden Globes in minimalist coral lipstick and a simple, slicked-back bun. But on Jan. 11, Saoirse lit up the blue carpet with bold hair and makeup we've truly never seen her wear before. The Lady Bird star and best actress nominee showed up looking like a '90s goth princess in black-red lipstick.
Saoirse played her pinot lipstick off of a cranberry smoky eye that was so faint, you might have to zoom in to see it. But we do urge you to take the time, because we promise the subtle monochromatic look is one you'll want to re-create for Valentine's Day. We love how Saoirse contrasted her moody makeup with platinum hair styled in a soft, romantic blowout. She's clearly got this whole sugar-and-spice thing down.
