The Crown has managed to captivate us all, taking the inherent allure of British royalty and transforming it into a magical, history-rich cinematic experience. For those unacquainted (umm . . . you should head to Netflix ASAP), The Crown tells the story of a young Queen Elizabeth II, following her through the trials and tribulations of her greenest and more settled years as a monarch.
The drama series boasts a plethora of award nominations and wins, including a 2017 Golden Globe and 2017 SAG Award for best actress for Claire Foy, who plays the queen. In addition to more award season accolades in 2018, The Crown was nominated by the Hollywood Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist Guild Awards for best period/character makeup. We're not surprised!
