There's Nothing "Little" About the Big Little Lies Cast's Excitement Over Meryl Streep
The following contains spoilers for the Big Little Lies season one finale.
When the world heard the big news that Hollywood legend Meryl Streep is joining Big Little Lies for season two, the internet collectively freaked out more than Renata Klein does when she thinks somebody has wronged Amabella. But fans aren't the only ones! Some members of the BLL cast couldn't contain their excitement over the casting, posting their heartfelt congratulations to Streep on social media.
The Oscar winner will play a pretty major role in the second installment of the HBO show: abusive husband Perry's mom, who comes to town looking for answers about her son's untimely death. We're sure Streep's acting chops will add a level of intensity to the role that we'd expect from a grieving mother - even if her son is a monster. The cast is excited to flex their dramatic muscles with an icon like Streep on set, as you can tell by their responses to the news!
