After causing quite the frenzy in a tall white hat while welcoming French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, to the White House, Melania Trump got prepared for a lavish meal in Chanel. She was swathed in silver sequins for the state dinner, a moment that will go down in history for sure. It's appropriate that Melania chose a creation from the French fashion house to salute the couple joining the Trumps for a two-day visit.
If, for a moment, you had eyes on Brigitte's sophisticated ivory Louis Vuitton sheath with its crisscross chain embroidery, Melania's sparkly spaghetti straps and the red soles of her Christian Louboutin heels (which peeked out from under her dress's sheer hem) would have distracted you.
