Shawn Mendes kicked things off at Monday night's MTV VMAs in NYC! The singer, who was among those slated to take the stage , opened the show by belting out a rousing rendition of his song "In My Blood." Mendes amped up his performance with a crowd sing-along, but the crowning moment was the finale, which featured pouring rain and a very wet white t-shirt. Listen, we prefer him while he's shirtless , but we'll take what we can get. Watch his performance above!
