These Cryptic James Bond Tweets Prove Idris Elba's Just Toying With Our Emotions Now
"My name's Elba, Idris Elba." These words will likely go down in fan history, after Idris Elba added fuel to the already blazing fire of speculation surrounding his role in the James Bond franchise. The 45-year-old actor (and now, handsome internet troll) shared a photo of himself on Twitter with the above caption and, of course, fans went into overdrive trying to figure out what his comments mean.
The idea of casting Elba as Bond isn't a new one. Rumors of Elba's involvement have been floating around since 2014, but they've recently picked up again with producers and directors hinting at a non-white Bond after Daniel Craig's final installment.
Elba's cheeky tweet doesn't confirm or deny anything, and he followed it up with a second cryptic message: "Don't believe the HYPE." Now he's just toying with us. Either way, these tweets sure got fans excited as they try to decipher the true intentions behind them.
