John Legend Started to Tear Up While Talking About Chrissy Teigen, and Now I'M Sobbing
I've said it once and I'll say it again: find me a love like Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's. The powerhouse couple stepped out on Nov. 12 as Chrissy was honored at Glamour's Women of the Year Awards, and their night together was truly lovely. John, or "Chrissy Teigen's trophy husband" as he calls himself, gave an emotional speech as he presented "the star of the family" with her award.
The 39-year-old singer praised Chrissy for her honesty, talents, passion, sense of adventure, and her "big, beautiful heart." In this age of social media, John believes she shines without a filter thanks to her unapologetic presence. "I am amazed by the woman that you've become," John tenderly told his wife. "And I'm truly glad that the rest of the world has finally found out about it, too."
Chrissy accepted the award from John, calling him "the most incredible husband on the planet. She said, "You are our everything. You completely made me a woman. We've grown together. Our family's grown together. Our careers have grown together . . . This is so sappy, I'm sorry. I hate you, John. I really do."
