Aside from the incredible charity work the British royals are busy with all year round, our attention is often drawn to their fashion, hair, and makeup choices. This year, with more members of the royal household and ever-elegant events to attend than ever, there were plenty of memorable beauty moments.

Meghan Markle pushed some of the strict royal beauty boundaries at the beginning of her relationship with Prince Harry, particularly with her hair. (Who could forget her messy bun that made the headlines?) However, since becoming the Duchess of Sussex, she's transitioned her hair into slightly more polished styles for formal events. And can we take a minute to talk about Markle's savvy lip liner trick and forever-glowing skin?

Kate Middleton also didn't disappoint with her beauty looks this year. She kept her signature smoky eye and blushed skin but also took tips from Markle by adding more bronzer and highlighter than normal. There was no lack of standout hair moments to choose from, either; Middleton stepped out in numerous updos, a ponytail with a bow, and more bouncy blowouts than we can keep up with. But it's not only the women the public turned to for inspiration when it comes to grooming - Prince Harry's beard inspired an increase in sales of items such as beard oil and razors by 226 percent.
