Jamie Otis Reveals She Had Another Miscarriage, 4 Months After Her Chemical Pregnancy
Jamie Otis is opening up about the heartbreaking news of her second miscarriage in four months. On Jan. 11, the Married at First Sight star revealed to Instagram followers that she lost a baby after 10 weeks gestation.
Jamie has been honest on social media about her pregnancy struggles ever since she lost her son Jonathan Edward when she was 17 weeks pregnant in 2016. She is known for chronicling her continued path toward parenthood through sincere posts, especially after she and her husband Doug Hehner excitedly welcomed their daughter Henley Grace in 2017. In September 2018 Jamie revealed she had a "chemical pregnancy", and on Friday she shared a photo of herself in bed with Henley Grace and gave an account of how she's coping with another upsetting loss.
"So thankful for this little one and her daddy. Our doc appointment didn't go well today," she wrote. "I'm devastated. We've had a 'failed miscarriage.' Our baby formed and there was an amniotic sac, but while the amniotic sac continued to grow the baby stopped at some point . . . Spending the rest of the day in bed thanking God from the bottom.of.my.heart for our rainbow baby, @henleygracehehner. Feeling so blessed to have her to hold while my heart aches!"
Our hearts are with Jamie, Doug, Henley, and the rest of their family.
