Melissa McCarthy Had the Most Important Golden Globes Role - Secret Ham Sandwich Provider
Someone has to provide some much-needed extra fuel for celebrities at the Golden Globes, and that someone is Melissa McCarthy.
The Can You Ever Forgive Me? actress told Variety that she snuck 30 ham and cheese sandwiches into the awards venue to keep her fellow celebrity friends them going throughout the night. She said, "I've been handing them out to everyone", and even admitted that next year she's planning on bringing hot dogs for the night.
It was apparently these sandwiches that best actress in a musical or comedy winner Olivia Colman referenced when she said "thank you for the sandwiches, amazing!" during her acceptance speech. To those 30 Golden Globe attendees (and winners) lucky enough to bag a sandwich, we're sure they're thanking Melissa for her services. Keep reading for a closer look at Melissa at the awards.
