Sandra Oh's Speech About Representation at the Golden Globes Will Have You Clapping So Hard

Sandra Oh made history at the Golden Globes! On Sunday, the Killing Eve star cohosted the star-studded ceremony with Andy Samberg, making her the first-ever Asian American actor to ever do so. In her opening monologue, Oh revealed the reason she "said yes to the fear of being on stage," and it'll move you to tears. "I wanted to be here to look out into this audience and witness this moment of change," Oh told the crowd. "Next year could be different. It probably will be. Right now, this moment is real."

This year, the Golden Globes also made history by shattering its record of diverse nominations. Four out of ten nominees in the two best picture categories have non-white directors; Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman, Ryan Coogler's Black Panther, and Barry Jenkins's If Beale Street Could Talk all received nods for best drama motion picture, while John M. Chu's Crazy Rich Asians was nominated for best musical or comedy motion picture. So, where do we sign the petition to have Oh and Samberg host the Globes next year?
