What This Garbage Man Said to a Little Girl on His Route Will Leave You in a Puddle of Mush

A little girl named Brooklyn had a very surprising request for her birthday - she wanted to finally meet a man she's been admiring from afar: her family's garbage collector, Delvar. Or as they've taken to calling him, "our favorite awesome smiley garbage man."

Each Thursday for the past year, Brooklyn, who lives in Bloomington, IL, has anxiously awaited the garbage truck's arrival at their house.

In a Facebook post, Brooklyn's mom wrote:

It started with waving from the window, then we had to try and be outside to wave, and when we missed the truck driving by the house, I'd drive around the neighborhood to find the garbage truck and wave on our way out the door in the mornings. Every Thursday, my heart is full when I see the joy that our amazing garbage man brings Brooklyn when he honks and waves at her with a BIG smile.

To make Brooklyn's birthday - which, as luck would have it, was on a Thursday - extraspecial, they decided it was time they finally met their garbage collector. Brooklyn wrapped up a cupcake and waited for his arrival. When he rounded the corner of their street, Brooklyn's mom thanked him for his upbeat demeanor and acknowledged how much it meant to her daughter.

To her surprise, Delvar admitted that he, too, looks forward to their weekly visits. What he revealed next will leave you in a puddle of mush . . .

He said that he has a meeting every Thursday morning and always tries to get out of there in a hurry so that he can make sure to see us every week.

We're so glad Brooklyn got her birthday wish, and when Thursday rolls around again, we can't help but get excited about her run-in, full of honking and waving, with her "favorite awesome smiley garbage man."

Not Sure If Last Year's SPF Has Expired? Read This First

Good news: you have a beach day planned. Bad news: the only sunscreen you can find is one sand-coated bottle that might be from last year . . . or the year before. While we absolutely condone product hoarding, sun protection is one beauty area you just have to take seriously. We talked to the experts to find out just how long you can stretch that SPF. Ask yourself these questions before using that sunscreen bottle from the back of the closet:

1. Is your SPF over three years old?

"All sunscreens are designed to remain at original strength for three years," says Dr. Paul Jarrod Frank of NYC Fifth Avenue Dermatology Surgery and Laser Center. If you had your sunscreen during Juan Pablo's season on The Bachelor, it's time for a new bottle. Pro tip: next time you bring home a fresh tube, write the purchase date on the lid with a permanent marker so you know exactly when to toss.

2. Is the texture no longer smooth?

Any lumps or bumps in creamy sunscreen could mean the active ingredients are beginning to break down and become less effective. "Micronized zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, the two main ingredients in sunscreen, can clump together over time," explains Dr. Hadley King, dermatologist at Skinney Medspa. If you want an SPF with a longer shelf life, check the label for dimethicone or silica, additives that will keep your lotion stable and smooth.

3. Has the consistency changed?

When a liquid separates out from your cream, it means the ingredients have broken down and it's time for a new bottle. "Keep an eye out for white cream turning into a yellow liquid," warns Dr. Marina Peredo of Skinfluence Medical NYC.

4. Have you been keeping it somewhere warm?

As convenient as it seems to leave your sunscreen on the patio or in the trunk of your car, heat and sun exposure will eventually cause the active ingredients in SPF to break down. Keep product fresh by leaving it in a cool, dry place.

5. Do you notice any redness on your skin after application?

Sunscreen will still be effective - albeit less so - after three years, clarifies Dr. Peredo. But using the formula with deteriorating chemicals means that "you could develop a contact allergy, even though it's not necessarily harmful." If you are pinching pennies and don't want to buy a new bottle, spot-test a small area of your skin to test your reaction first.

Whether you're using a new tube or a bottle that was in your stash when Taylor Swift had long hair, apply responsibly. Dr. Peredo notes that true sun care means we shouldn't have to worry about SPF expiring, because we're using it religiously. "When outdoors, apply one tablespoon of sun protection every two hours," she advises. "Then there's no way a bottle should last more than one season - maybe two."

1 Fitness Blogger Just Put All Food Babies to Shame

The dreaded food baby: while it's sometimes a product overindulgence, it might also result from other factors, as a fitness editor shared on Facebook. Along with her before and after shot, Tiffany Brien wrote, "We are not all what we seem on social media . . . nobody is perfect."

Tiffany goes on to explain how she's struggled with bloat due to food intolerance, stress, and other factors. This particular photo was taken on a "bad day" and in her detailed explanation, she points to stress, lack of sleep, and hormones as possible sources. Though Tiffany can't identify the exact cause, she does offer advice on fighting back: keep a food diary and record when you bloat, don't overexercise to compensate, explore probiotics and multivitamins, drink peppermint tea, and most importantly, relax. We'll take her word for it since the food baby disappeared in 12 hours.

A Simple But Powerful Trick to Stop Emotional Eating

I cry-eat more often than I want to admit. Stressful day at work? Chinese takeout it is! Fight with the boyfriend? Yes, I'll have a second maragarita! I'm not alone in this. Many nutritionists say weight issues and food cravings are less about physical happenings in the body and are closely tied to our emotional state. But life isn't pretty all of the time, so the challenge becomes how to not turn to food when things get out of whack. Beyond practicing mindful eating as much as possible, Nikki Sharp, wellness coach and author of the 5-Day Real Food Detox, recommends that her clients give themselves a detox - of the emotional kind.

By pinpointing the reasons you're upset, Nikki says that you can find a better way to deal with the anger that doesn't have to involve turning to food. One of her go-to methods is a cleansing ritiual of sorts. Focus on what's bothering you and find a symbolic way to release it. "Write a letter and tear it up, throw a stone into the water, or visualize its dissipation into the air." The point of the exercise is to allow you time to reflect on the feeling and then let go of it. While it might sound a little on the new-agey side of things, Nikki says this simple act can be a "powerful way to free yourself emotionally," advice that can be used well beyond the dinner table.

Angela Bassett Is Launching a Skin Care Line For Darker Skin Tones

Beauty products specifically designed for ladies with darker skin tones can be difficult to find. American Horror Story star Angela Bassett, however, has plans to change that. The actress has teamed up with Dr. Barbara Sturm to launch a skin care line called Darker Skin Tones by Barbara Sturm.

Inspired by her own skin flare-ups, Angela revealed that she wants the line to help people with deeper complexions who struggle with problems like inflammation and hyperpigmentation.

"Since African-American, or skin of color, problems [revolve] mainly [around] inflammation that is why I especially took care in this range," she said to Women's Wear Daily. "It has real ingredients, which are scientifically shown to address inflammation."

The main ingredient in the five-item line is purslane, an herb that has powerful properties that both works as an antiaging agent and evens out the complexion. Angela added that she wants people to be more aware of their skin care routines and for them "to see what is good for it and ingredients that are helpful."

The exclusive line, which includes products like a foam cleanser and face cream, will launch at Harrods and be available online in July. Mark this down on your calendars!

This Hair Color Faux-Pas Could Make You Look Older

Broken hearts are the worst. Broken hair cuticles may be just as bad, though - at least that's how LA-based colorist Johnny Ramirez approaches things.

Johnny is known by most of you beauty junkies as one-half of Ramirez-Tran Salon (his partner is Anh Co Tran). Just follow his Instagram account and you'll find yourself down a rabbit hole of dye inspiration. Johnny and Anh have perfected the beachy, lived-in look that so many women covet IRL and on social media.

Talk to anyone who has gone to see Johnny and they'll tell you: it's a process. This isn't your pop-in, pop-out hair color appointment. When I visited him with my shoulder-grazing bob, I spent five hours in his chair. But the finished look is what keeps us coming back . . . every six months, that is.

After my appointment, I picked his brain on how hair can age you, what products every woman should own, and why you should avoid platinum blonde at all costs. Plus, keep reading for some serious color inspiration!

11 Things You May Not Have Known About Kate Moss

Let me first say that yes, I've been a fan of Kate Moss ever since I can remember, and no, I never once thought I'd get the chance to meet her. That unthinkable moment happened this week when I traveled across the pond on behalf of Rimmel London, which hosted an event to celebrate the 15th anniversary of its partnership with Kate and launch her limited-edition collection of shades for its Lasting Finish lipstick. I was also lucky enough to have something of a cheering squad in my friends and co-workers, as well as my dad, who was mostly just proud of himself for knowing who Kate Moss is.

There were about 12 of us in the room, sitting across from each other on benches draped in vintage scarves, surrounded by clothing from Kate's very own closet. Of course I recognized the pieces instantly - the red sheer gown she wore to Mario Testino's 60th birthday party, her beloved Balmain leather pants - but they all but disappeared from view once she walked in. She definitely seemed a bit nervous at first, but once she sat down with host Scott Wimsett and her fashion stylist, the amazing Zoe Bedeaux, it wasn't long before the tension subsided.

I didn't blame Kate for feeling anxious. She came up in the '90s, an era of models "being seen and not heard," when she didn't have to give interviews, pose for selfies, or even meet with press. I can't imagine how it must feel now, to be in a new world where models have to be brands and are expected to talk about themselves all the time. I've always loved Kate for being such an enigma, and I respect her a lot for evolving with the times and essentially "playing the game."

What I didn't expect was for Kate to be so open. I imagined that the cheeky one-liners, dry sense of humor, and loud, ringing laugh I'd read about were reserved for close friends and famous colleagues, but I was wrong - and so happy to be. Kate lived up to my every idea of her; she was every bit of the charismatic, funny, and witty person I've seen in photos and rare interviews over the years. She revealed things that I wasn't expecting to hear - like that her 13-year-old daughter, Lila Grace Hack, tells her what to do with her makeup and that Kate "chews" her lipstick off but is getting better at breaking the habit. Here are a handful of things I learned during my brief meeting with the other queen, Kate Moss.

  1. The first lipstick she ever bought was by Rimmel . . . and it was gold. The shade was called Heather Shimmer. "I was 8 or something," Kate said, adding that she bought it "in Boots" and wore it "to the school disco. It's not like I was going anywhere else."
  2. She wears more makeup now than she ever has. Kate admitted, "I didn't use to wear really that much and I didn't know how to do makeup, but now I know how to do it a bit more. I can do an eye [laughs]. Eyes, I mean. Both eyes!" She added that she has "paid more attention in the last few years than I used to."
  3. Red carpets make her nervous, but she has a cure. "I'm happier on the runway," she told us. [On the red carpet] I am not being myself. It's a weird like, 'Who am I? Am I me? Am I them?'" Kate also revealed who helps her get red carpet ready: "A friend, [makeup artist] Charlotte Tilbury, does [my makeup]. We just laugh and then I don't feel nervous. It is more like hanging out with my friend. We just gossip."
  4. Her daughter, Lila Grace, has already caught the beauty bug. "Lila is obsessed with makeup now," Kate told us. "She knows how to curl her lashes now and she does her brow. She tells me off for not doing it: 'It's about the shape of the brow,' and I'm like, 'Really?' She tells me what to do instead of the other way round. She does my makeup sometimes, which is hilarious. And we do a lot of nails."
  5. She got her favorite vintage dress from a very thoughtful neighbor. Kate called the dress "a really weird find" and explained just how it came to be: "My neighbor put a note on my door that said 'I've got a Thea Porter - do you want it?' I was like 'Uh, yes!' and it fits me perfect because it has that kind of bohemian chic, like going to lunch in the Summer, easy and floaty."
  6. She has a habit of chewing her lipstick off. "If I can wear lipstick, anyone can," Kate joked. "I literally chew it off; I don't know why I do. It's like I eat it or something."
  7. She prefers to wear nude lipstick when she goes to concerts. Instead of a "strong red lip," Kate goes nude for gigs. Why? "It's better for kissing loads of people backstage," she quipped, before miming the way she approaches a band after their show: flinging her arms out, tossing her head back, and shouting "You're amaaaaazing!"

The Most Fabulous Woman in Beauty Is Launching the Chicest Lipsticks

Before face oils became such a hot category that even drugstore brands started creating them, Linda Rodin launched the OG Rodin Olio Lusso version in 2007. The line has since expanded to include body oil, hand cream, and even a nourishing lip balm. This month, in addition to new lavender-scented face and body oils, Linda is adding five lipsticks to her offering. And in my opinion, these may just be the best-smelling, most luxurious lipsticks out there.

"My mother always wore lipstick so I was inspired by her," Linda told me via email on why she decided to branch into this makeup category.

After testing them, I noticed they were extremely longwear. My hot-pink pout lasted well into a balmy Summer dinner. The color is matte, but can be sheered out into a stain or layered on for a pigmented pop. And as I mentioned, they smell heavenly! Thanks to a mix of the iconic jasmine and neroli olio lusso blend, they are reminiscent of the hero oil product. They also contain rose flower, lavender wax, and vitamins C and E, as well as apricot, argan, and meadowfoam seed oils. So they are making your lips more nourished while you wear them.

When it came to shade choices, the beauty icon chose five hues influenced by her own style. "I picked what for me are the classics," she said. "I only wear these colors." And unlike other brands that constantly add new iterations, she plans to keep it to this minimal yet comprehensive lipstick wardrobe for now.

The packaging cannot be overlooked either. The bold shades - hot pink and deep berry are two of my favorites - are showcased in a clear container. "My lip balm is also in a lucite package," she explained of this design decision. "So I want to continue my lip care with lucite. And it's easy to see the colors, of course."

Though she doesn't plan to add new shades soon, she did hint that lip liners are coming. She noted, "I always apply a lip pencil first, and then apply the lipstick on top. My lip pencils in colors matching my lipsticks will be available soon."

Keep reading to see each gorgeous color and learn an exclusive tidbit from Linda about what influenced the color and name choice!

These Anime Makeup Transformations Take Makeup to a Whole Other Level

NYX Cosmetics is a particularly special brand. It's incredibly affordable (the widely celebrated Soft Matte Lip Creams are only $6!), and yet the formulas truly compete with many prestigious products - which are often five times the price. The company also celebrates the artists in its community, spotlighting them with the now-legendary NYX Face Awards.

The NYX Face Awards has become a staple in the beauty community, with its inaugural competition five years ago, and has helped catapult many talented makeup artists into the spotlight. During these competitions, it's primarily been up-and-coming makeup artists to debut some insane talent. Now mainstream vloggers are joining in on the fun, but it's still often underground artists that produce the most mesmerizing work. In fact, some of the the best tutorials for this year's Anime Top #20 challenge are from indie makeup artists that barely have 10,000 subscribers to their channels.

The 2016 competition started on April 4 and will end on August 20, culminating with a live awards show with a celebrity host and judges. Six finalists will be flown to Los Angeles to present their final - and most intense - video of the competition, and the winner will receive the coveted title of NYX's 2016 Beauty Vlogger of the Year and $50,000 - a pretty legit prize if you're an aspiring beauty vlogger. In fact, the awards have gotten so popular that there are different awards for countries around the world.

Scroll through the gallery to see our favorites of the submissions, and be sure to vote for yours. Voting for the Top 12 ends at the end of today, June 24, and the next group will be announced on June 27. And don't forget to register for next year's competition if you're hoping to hit it big in the beauty vlogging arena - it could end up making your career.

This Woman's "Power Contouring" Tutorial Will Move You to Tears

Contouring remains one of the biggest trends in makeup due to its transformative powers. The popularity of the sculpting technique has inspired more unusual takes on the method, such as clown contouring and henna contouring. However, the newest alternative version of the technique, "power contouring," is definitely one we can get behind. The idea behind this involves shaping your face with the experiences (both good and bad) that have made you who who you are today - literally. To power contour, you utilize shades of light and dark makeup to paint on words signifying the positive (highlight) and negative (contour).

In this brave and inspirational video, makeup artist Christa from the YouTube channel The Erin and Christa Show uses power contouring to share meaningful characteristics of her life that have shaped who she is.

"People don't like to talk about sad things, because why would you? . . . But it makes you who you are," Christa explains. "Sometimes, when you talk about it, it humanizes you." She goes on to highlight her face by using a lighter foundation color to paint on words that represent positive influences in her life. This includes makeup, her wife, and the LGBTQ community. She tears up when as she explains her forehead highlight, Dan, her older brother with special needs.

"He just has this purity to him that you can't find in anybody [else]," Christa says. She goes on to contour her cheekbones and the sides of her forehead with words in a darker hue, representing the more difficult characteristics of her life. The first word she uses is "fat."

"It's a hard word," she admits. "But I think if you start to love yourself more, the power of that word gets taken away." When she's done "contouring," Christa uses a blending brush, mixing the light and dark experiences together and announces, "all of these things together makes one human."

Christa goes on to assure us that we do not need to be defined by our negative experiences, but they will contribute to who we are. We can grieve and move on, and ultimately, we are shaped by them. This video is a powerful reminder that we should embrace all of the life experiences that are thrown at us but, above all, that they can be turned into art. Remember, makeup is an influential art form! Channel your feelings and use them to create. Watch this empowering video and be moved to tears by Christa's honesty, bravery, and vulnerability, then get inspired to whip out your contouring kit.

This Is the Cutest, Easiest Fourth of July Manicure We've Seen All Summer

Coming up with a chic Fourth of July nail art idea can be daunting. If you like to show your Americana spirit on your fingertips, then you'll find an overwhelming number of options out there. You can go with the obvious - stars and stripes - or pick a more unexpected motif: dots.

We're a fan of polka dots since they're preppy, dainty, and eye-catching. Essie celebrity manicurist Michelle Saunders interpreted this idea with a nail design she calls Snap Crackle Pop (featured here) by changing the size of the dots in a gradual way. But she actually turned to fashion as her source of manicure inspiration!

"For Snap Crackle Pop, I was inspired by a sheer white blouse with colorful round beads designed in a unique pattern," she told us. "I thought it would be perfect for nail art." We agree!

Keep reading to learn how to DIY it. Note: Ballet Slippers is used, so you may not even have to buy all new colors.

Why You Need to Be Washing Your Yoga Pants After EVERY Workout

Activewear technology is a beautiful thing. Sweat-wicking fabrics keep us feeling fresher than ever, so we don't have to sit in our own sweat; moisture is drawn out to the surface of the fabric, where it can evaporate, leaving us feeling cool and dry sometimes mere minutes after a sweaty hot yoga or cycling session. But the operative word here is moisture, not bacteria. You might feel dry, but it doesn't mean you're clean. Even if the fabric in your pants or activewear is antimicrobial, you need to make sure you're washing your clothes after every single workout.

Here's what happens: you work out in your favorite yoga pants. The pants dry quickly, and you forget about the sweatiness as you head to brunch or lunch, and then go on with the rest of your day. These pants are slimming and athleisure is trendy and acceptable outside of the gym, so you keep 'em on. After all, you feel fine! You strip down at the end of the day, and fold the pants back up, because they feel dry and you're just going to sweat in them again anyway . . . right?

The next time you wear them, though, your neighbors are in for a surprise. You might not notice, but the heat and sweat will reactivate the dormant bacteria, causing a particularly foul stench that may be undetectable to you as the wearer. There's a reason gyms and boutique studios (SoulCycle, for instance) have rules about laundry and fresh clothes - people don't realize that their clothes are smelling, and it can create an entirely unpleasant experience for nearby classmates.

Then there's another factor: you are washing your clothes, but the smell won't budge. What's up with that? Did you leave them unwashed for too long? Is your detergent working? In some unfortunate cases, there can be a rebloom of odors that don't come out in the wash. Delightful.

So what can you do? HOW CAN WE SMELL CLEAN AGAIN!? There are simple ways to effectively prevent and combat odor, stay clean, and feel fresh for every workout. Here's what we'd suggest (heads-up: get used to doing more laundry!).

  1. Strip down immediately. Especially if they're really sweaty! This is also important for your skin, as trapping that sweat and bacteria against your skin can cause breakouts, or worse: yeast infections. As alluring as it can be to wear your supercute yoga pants to grab avocado toast with your best friends, we'd suggest packing a fresh pair to change into. It's totally OK if it's another pair of yoga pants. We won't tell. We've even heard of some gym-goers and trainers wearing their clothes into the shower and rinsing them out immediately before changing into fresh clothes.
  2. Don't leave them in plastic bags for too long. Trapping the moisture is the definition of a bad idea in this case. Don't forget about your damp, sweaty clothes trapped in a plastic laundry bag; if you do, you're in for a really smelly wake up - sometimes even mold.
  3. Wash ASAP, wash often. We're not going to run a load of laundry every single day, but try to wash your clothes as soon as possible to get all the icky stuff out. You definitely don't want to wait weeks before doing laundry, even if you still have clothes to wear! Personally, I run one to two activewear laundry loads each week. If you don't want to run a full load, but have a few things you need to wash, try hand washing in your sink or bathtub and hang to dry.
  4. If you have to wait to wash, air dry. Extra sweaty clothes? Don't just throw them in the hamper - your laundry basket will become a bacteria breeding ground (and will smell terrible . . . noticing a theme here?). Air dry before tossing them in with the rest of the laundry.
  5. Use a sports detergent. Certain detergents specifically fight odors from sweat; you can find sports-specific detergents at your local Target or grocery store, or opt for a specialty brand online, like Hex. Although the goal is not to mask the odor, you can still add a touch of freshness to your laundry with fragrance pellets like Downy Unstoppables.
  6. Freeze 'em! I first heard of this concept for cleaning jeans, and it's been applied to activewear, too. Put your clothes in a plastic bag in the freezer to kill the bacteria (typically overnight), then thaw and wash immediately. This can help fight odor quickly before you add detergent into the mix.

The Post-Workout Ritual That Messes With Weight Loss

Whenever I finish a dance or yoga class, my friends begin talking about what they're going to eat as soon as they leave the studio. For years, this was certainly part of my post-workout ritual, and I thought this was what was supposed to happen to help the body recover from the hard work it just went through. You sweat it out during a cardio session, you eat something right after, and you see big results, right? Not necessarily.

In comparison to a strength-training workout where the muscles are broken down and depleted of the carbohydrate glycogen, cardio burns calories by raising the heart rate. You might feel strong and energized after your indoor-cycling class or treadmill run, but if you only completed a 30- or 45-minute workout, there's no rush to eat, since relatively speaking, the fuel you burned is low. According to LA-based dietician Shira Lenchewski, MS, RD, "There's no hard-and-fast rule that says you need to refuel after a short cardio session with anything other than water."

Keep in mind that the above rule doesn't apply when it comes to a longer or more intense cardio session - the more intensely you move, the more energy you use, and as a result, it becomes more important to refuel. When you're training for a race and logging a lot of miles, do your best to eat 200 to 300 calories within 30 minutes of your workout. If you're into kicking your butt with HIIT, intense sprints at the track, or kickboxing, nutritionists agree: you need to refuel and recover with a combination of protein and carbs. Clinical and holistic dietitian Esther Blum recommends a protein smoothie that includes a highly absorbable carb like banana or mango because it "shuts down your cortisol levels and stress hormones and raises your growth hormone levels to help you build muscle mass."

Of course, if you're hungry after your workout, listen to your body, but be smart about what you eat: a protein smoothie is very different from face-planting into a pizza. To help combat post-workout hunger after moderate workouts, women's strength-training expert and author of Lift to Get Lean Holly Perkins recommends making sure you have a nutritious meal two to three hours prior to your workout or enjoy a light pre-workout snack 30 to 60 minutes beforehand. When you fuel your body appropriately, you'll be less tempted to grab the first thing staring you in the face when you walk out of the studio door!

We're still recovering from the "Battle of the Bastards" on Game of Thrones, mostly because it was one of the show's most epic episodes to date. There's a lot to process in that thrilling hour of TV - including the epic death of Ramsay and an impactful union between Daenerys Targaryen and the Greyjoys - but one of our favorite parts has to be the sheer brilliance of Sansa Stark. Orange Is the New Black: The Heartbreaking Reason Crazy Eyes Is in Prison

Season four is the most important and devastating season of Orange Is the New Black so far. Once you get past the episodes where Piper tries to assert herself as a "gangsta with an a," the show moves onto more meaningful subject matter - politics, race, and brutality. One of the most heart-breaking moments is the revelation of Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren's crime.

In her pre-Litchfield life, Suzanne was a greeter at a big super store. She was a star employee who had great rapport with customers - in particular, a mom and her three sons. Suzanne lived with her sister and it's implied that her sister took care of her. Suzanne's sister decided to go away with her boyfriend for the weekend and left Suzanne alone for the first time since they started living together.

Suzanne was anxious at first but decided to make the best of it. She went to the park and "greeted" people there. While at the park, Suzanne recognized one of the young sons, Dylan, from the family she knew from her work. Dylan went back to Suzanne's apartment to eat snacks and play video games. It was all very innocent until Dylan decided he wanted to leave. That was when it went all Of Mice And Men. Suzanne became upset and forbid Dylan from leaving. He panicked and tried to escape. She panicked and tried to keep him in the apartment. Dylan made his way out of the window and onto the fire escape. Suzanne tried to get him inside. There was a struggle, then Dylan fell over the fire escape. Though you don't see a body, it's assumed that Dylan died after the fall.

Daenerys Targaryen Is Easily the Fiercest Badass in the Seven Kingdoms

When it really comes down to it, though, you have to admit that the character who gives us all the most life is Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of Meereen, Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, Mother of Dragons, and 2015 Emmy nominee. Keep reading to see why she's just so effing fierce.

Game of Thrones Basically Just Confirmed How Jon Snow Will Discover the Truth About His Parents

Update: After the gruesome "Battle of the Bastards," Jon Snow announces his plans to lay Rickon to rest in the Winterfell crypt beside his father - which means that Jon will be visiting the graves below his family's house. As the season finale draws closer, it seems all the more likely that Jon will discover his true parentage during this visit to the Stark family crypt. What a season clincher that would be, eh? Read the original post for our full theory about why the crypts are so important for the future of Westeros and what it could mean for our favorite bastard.

Original: Game of Thrones has a way of letting viewers get the tiniest bit comfortable before completely ripping the rug out from underneath them - and because we've grown so confident in our assumptions about Jon Snow's origins, it's high time for the show to completely shatter our expectations.

Since the series has been grooming Bran's storyline to reveal the big secret about Jon's real parents, one Redditor thinks that HBO will surprise everyone by revealing the truth through a much more unexpected scenario. In a long, detailed explanation that provides 18 separate citations (including both proof within the series and iconic fantasy tropes that likely inspired the show's creators), Reddit user jamieandclaire theorizes that Jon will learn the truth when exploring the Stark family crypt after retaking Winterfell.

It sounds crazy, right? But the theory purports that Ned Stark, wanting to honor his sister Lyanna's memory without endangering her half-Targaryen son (Jon), had a tomb built for Jon within the Winterfell crypts. It is a Stark tradition to prepare these graves far in advance, and the crypt is huge - there are multiple levels, one of which was blocked off to regular visitors by rubble. Here's how the Redditor suggests the revelation would go down:

Jon, upon retaking Winterfell, decides to go down into the crypts to visit Eddard's grave, but finds that Ned's bones haven't come to Winterfell yet. He instead passes by the future resting places of his siblings . . .

He stops for a moment, sad with the new knowledge that there is no life everlasting for him or his siblings. Then, remembering his nightmares [about the crypt] (or perhaps finding some clue in Ned's empty grave), he continues down to the lower levels of the crypt in the growing darkness.

His finds his way is blocked by rocks and rubble from the collapse. He considers going back, but something catches his eye beyond the obstruction. He begins pulling at stones, and sees another tomb, prepared and empty.

Clambering over the debris, he walks to the tomb and holds out the torch in the darkness, wiping away the dust from the slab. And this is what he reads.

View post on imgur.com

While much of this theory is sound, some of the most convincing points actually come from the A Song of Ice and Fire book series, not the HBO show. Here are some of our favorite indications that Jon might learn his own story among the dead of Winterfell.

  • Jon Snow has dreams that bring him to the depths of Winterfell's crypt: "And then I find myself in front of the door to the crypts. It's black inside, and I can see the steps spiraling down. Somehow I know I have to go down there, but I don't want to. I'm afraid of what might be waiting for me," Jon describes in the first book. Additionally, the Redditor notes that "when Ned is killed, Bran and Rickon both dream of him in the crypts, sad, saying something about Jon."
  • Parallels between Bael the Bard's tale and the R+L=J theory: The story of Bael the Bard comes up multiple times in the series. Bael, the king beyond the Wall far before Jon's time, infiltrated Winterfell disguised as a singer and wooed Lord Stark's daughter. He "stole her away" (much like Rhaegar Targaryen is accused of doing to Lyanna Stark) in the middle of the night, leaving a blue Winter rose (Lyanna's favorite flower) in her bed. Many months later, the daughter returned with a baby of her own - she had never left Winterfell, simply hidden in the crypt. That son, the bastard of Bael the Bard, went on to rule the North. Can you see the connection between this lore and the theory about Jon's parentage? And it all comes back to one place: the crypt of Winterfell.
  • Foreshadowing from ancient Targaryen lore: Another story repeated in the series, points out the Redditor's theory, is that of Vermax the Targaryen dragon. Vermax supposedly laid eggs in the Winterfell crypt during a visit from Prince Jacaerys Velaryon, creating a theme of Targaryens/dragons being hidden in Winterfell's hall of the dead.
  • Ned Stark could totally have prepared Jon's grave in secret: Because the lower level of the crypt is blocked off by rubble, none of the Stark children or visitors would stray into the closed-off parts . . . plus, Ned Stark could have commissioned a stonemason to design the tomb without anybody finding out. Tyrion mentions in season two that stonemasons typically can't read - "He was a well-read stonemason? Can't say I've ever met a literate stonemason!" - which means that the words inscribed on the tomb would reveal nothing to the tradesman who carved them. Plus, the theorist believes this scenario could explain both Hodor's mental impairment and his fear of the Winterfell crypt: "If the lower levels were collapsed on purpose, it's possible that Hodor was asked to help, as he was big and strong. There could have been an accident which left him with a head injury. We know that at a certain point, Hodor was terrified of entering the crypts."
  • This theme would honor the fantasy tradition of Lancelot: The story of Lancelot (orphaned as a baby only to become one of Arthur's knights) is arguably one of the most famous in fantasy lore, time and again inspiring authors and filmmakers. "Sir Lancelot . . . conquers a keep called the Dolorous Gard where Queen Guinevere is being held. He renames it the Joyous Gard. In the graveyard is a tomb covered by a giant jeweled metal slab, engraved to indicate that only the man who conquers the keep will be able to lift it. He lifts the tomb's slab with ease, and beneath it is written 'Here will lie Lancelot of the Lake, the Son of King Ban.' He thus learns he is a prince inside a grave," the Redditor wrote. The similarities between Jon's storyline and Sir Lancelot's - including the variations of a "tower of joy" where a woman is being held hostage - could be a huge clue that this theory is accurate.
  • Game of Thrones needs a major cliffhanger to hold us over until season seven: This theory would likely come true in one of the final episodes of season six, so it totally fits the timeline that the show usually follows - reveal something huge, then keep everyone waiting for another year.

So, do you buy this insanely detailed theory? We're definitely convinced! While only time will tell if Jon discovers his own truth in Winterfell's burial place, we're almost positive it'll happen this way in the show, the books, or both.

Why Every Orange Is the New Black Inmate Is in Prison

Couldn't wait for Orange is the New Black's fourth season? We don't blame you; Netflix's prison comedy is as great as ever, and we're already psyched about season five. In the most recent season, we learned even more about how the characters end up at Litchfield through flashbacks. In case you missed anything, here's the definitive guide to exactly what each inmate did wrong - besides getting caught, obviously. Oh, major spoiler alert if you haven't seen season four!

Leslie Jones Says What We Were All Thinking About Rickon on Game of Thrones: "Zig Zag, Motherf*cker!"

Leslie Jones can't get enough of Game of Thrones. During an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Thursday, the Ghostbusters actress couldn't contain her excitement as she sat down to watch the HBO show's latest episode with the host. Not only did she get incredibly descriptive about what character she would want to be with, but she also left Seth in stitches with her extremely candid commentary. So what did she have to say about Ramsay? "You's a b*tch." And Rickon? "Zig zag, motherf*cker!" See the hilarious video above, then check out which type of Game of Thrones fan you are.

OITNB: Read This If You've Been Wondering What Happens to Sophia on Season 3

Despite the hordes of new inmates crowding the halls and bunks of Litchfield Penitentiary in this season of Orange Is the New Black, there is a palpable absence - especially in the prison salon. Where is Sophia Burset and her beautifully coiffed wigs? If you can't quite recall what goes down with Sophia during season three, you're not alone. Here's a refresher:

In the beginning of season three, Sophia and Gloria Mendoza bond over having teenage sons, as the two boys have begun hanging out together. Tensions soon mount between the mama bears, however, when they learn that Gloria's son is "a bad influence" on Sophia's son . . . and then everything escalates when Gloria discovers that the reverse is true: Sophia's son is actually the troublemaker.

Of course, at the root of all this is the shared helplessness of two incarcerated moms who feel like they can't adequately parent from the inside and who fear that their sons will end up in trouble because of it. In their frustration, the women turn on each other: Sophia shoves Gloria into a wall, and soon afterward, transphobic rumors about Sophia start swirling. This leads to Sophia being assaulted in her own salon - a hate crime that should result in punishment for the bigoted perpetrators. Instead, Sophia is sent to the SHU, reportedly "for her own protection." The orders come from MCC, and as usual, hapless Caputo can do nothing about it.

Although Sophia has made strides toward being accepted by many of her fellow inmates, it becomes painfully clear how fragile that acceptance is when these same people turn on Sophia for being a trans person. And the fact that she is sent into isolation following her violent attack is symbolic of so many struggles that trans people face on a regular basis. Rather than keeping this victim with the rest of the prison population, which might force others to get to know a trans person as a human being, she is erased from the community altogether and the entire topic of trans people is literally out of sight, out of mind.

Spoilers lie below, so only continue reading if you've watched season four!

Season four brings the relief of knowing that Sophia is still alive (though she's ferociously desperate to get out of the SHU), yet Sophia's storyline is very light, which is a shame because Sophia is delightful, and positive representations of trans people on TV are scarce overall. Orange Is the New Black is beautifully poised to serve up scathing commentary on current social and political issues (the flashback scene set in the Walmart-type superstore where a customer breezes past Suzanne with an assault rifle is eerily timely, despite having been filmed months ago). Not that this show should be responsible for depicting all underrepresented voices at all times, but Sophia's perspective is too unique and important to lose. Here's hoping she finds some redemption in season five.
